I know nothing about mechanic. I just got my brakes done today. I'm watching this video and it's giving me a headache. 😂😂😂 I can't keep track of the caliber, the piston, brake pad, etc all up in my head. I'm so glad we have mechanics who do this. Thank you Jiffy Lube! 😂😂
people put a screwdriver between the rotor and old pad before you remove the caliper to push back the piston caliper and remember to loosen the master cylinder cap to let the fluid rise, this also gives you a good indication of how the piston calipers are doing.
who uses c clamps still, put a screwdriver in the pad with the cap removed from the master cylinder and use a screwdriver to pry it back, its a good indication of how free the caliper piston is. also if you are from the north like i am, you need to wire wheel the rust on the caliper mount under the stainless steel guides under the pads
happy holidays... thank you for the good video....I change my drums but only the right side is noisy any help will do....keep up the goodwill...thx...God bless
This was a great video. There was a similar one I watched where the mechanic did not remove the brake fluid cap. I didn’t even think of that...great point Bundy. Thanks for the education on the DIY project. Much appreciated z

I'm giving this a try. Hopefully all turns out well.
Give us an update after you have completed the job.
@@bundysgarage will do! I assume removing the brake rotor is straightforward? I was planning on having them turned.
Agree with the stupid placement of the line in!!!
That's Chrysler engineering for you!
Thanks fella for the help. My 80 year old body was a little stiff but you saved me 150 bucks. Now I have to find a video for the front brakes.
You didn't need to remove the top 14 mm that you complained about. It slides right off
Awesome video....helped me so much......just got new rims so didnt trust takin them anywhere
Glad it helped you out and if you can please subscribe, it really helps me.
Do I pump brakes with engine off or running Bro?? Also thanks for video 👌.
Don’t start the car until you have pumped the brakes so engine OFF
@@bundysgarage Hey Buddy I truly appreciate it I'm really glad I asked you first, Also again great video 👌👍 💯

Yes and you always wipe off any capes before you remove them, just so no dust will get inside.
How'd you get the top guide pin loose? My brake line is in the way. I cant get a socket over it and my wrench just slides off
Need to change that rear caliper. Is it just that one nut to loosen off?

Aye what were the measurements for the brake pads u used?
Excellent vid. Thank you for your time & trouble.
you didn't take the rotors off
+Joshua Brown no but it's very easy if you had too
BundysGarage i figured it out. just had to hit it harder. they were a little rusty
+Joshua Brown the metals get cheaper and cheaper
BundysGarage tell me about it. I had to remove the entire rear end assembly. had to get in there to disconnect the ebrake
