Thanks for this, dude. I knew the front and rear brakes were different but the rear was way different than any other car I've replaced them on. I did the front in 20 minutes and I'm thinking "this is gonna be even easier on the back since they're smaller...😂 I was wrong. Either way, I'm just glad I can do them on my own instead of the $500 they wanted at the shop.
@@danthebrakeman I'm one of those wizards that forgot to enable service mode before removing the caliper. "No worries", I thought....I'll simply enable the service mode even though the caliper isn't mounted.....that surely will retract the piston. Well.....NOPE....somehow the piston has now fully extended and is out of the bore. Is there a way to reinsert the piston and then retract the part brake mechanism???
thank you for the tutorial. i was putting the brakeline bracket bolt back on and the head of it snapped and smacked me in the face... everything was going so well and im struggling to find a new bolt😭
If you look on my channel I have several videos that show how to manually retract the electronic parking brake if you watch the video on the jeep the process is the same
@@P4kDeeKongg I saw another video on how to take it out of service mode. You press the start button to wake up then ECM without pressing the brake and then you put the park brake in park. This process will take the car out of service mode. Start the vehicle and take the park off and slightly pump the brakes to pump the pistons to normal

very helpful! thank you
What if I forgot too put it in service mode ????
If you don't have any error codes and the ebrake works fine your clear if you have error codes you may need a new actuator and or caliper.

What about lubricating the caliper slide bolts inside the rubber boot?
What kind of bolt is the u use to connect the brake line to the caliber
Banjo bolt
Does this work on a 2016 Chrysler as well

Do you have to do it for front brake pads?
No just the rear
Good job 👏

You should be able to find a stud or any bolt that will hold it in place
@@danthebrakemando you know what the type of bolt is called the top bracket bolt , the double sided bolt I can’t seem to find it anywhere
My 2015 Chrysler 200 has a different button layout and doesn't have any way to access the brake service mode, do you know any other way to access it?

She’s all good to go the wrench 🔧 says not just yet 😂😂
