I've just started to do boiled eggs in my air fryer, i've found for a soft boiled egg it takes 7 minutes on 200 and it's perfect. I have a cosori dual blaze so when i do a fried egg i take the crisper out and put some oil in the bottom and crack an egg in for 3 minutes on 180 and it's perfect, the top is the same as if you had used a frying pan. My last air fryer had a basket instead of a crisper plate so i had to do them in a tin. They never turned out right. What i like about the cosori dual blaze it's so easy to clean, especially compared to having to clean a gas hob, grids, splash back and extract fan as i can't stand a dirty cooker hob. It's a no brainer really. Thank for the work you put into it
Hi Clara, I've yet to try eggs in my A/F but I've hit on a novel way with poached eggs. I use greased microwave mini steam pudding containers, just like your non stick moulds, no faffing about with spirit vinegar swirling in water, load the egg into the greased mould, drop it into rolling boiling water for required time and I get a perfect result every time. It's saved me buying silicone moulds. Job done. Cheers DougT
If that question was to me indy1205 then it's not an exact science 🤔 I just get the pan to a rolling boil (not a furious boil), drop the heatable plastic mini mould into the pan. I seem to find 4+- minutes sufficient, just keep testing with a knife tip, see the yolks firmly in the steaming white and if it doesn't separate then it's done. 😎😁 Buttered toasted seeded batch (Warburton's for me) slices and a mug of Yorkshire Tea and that's my breakfast sorted 👍 It's easier doing it the old school way rather than faffing about timing my A/F Cheers DougT
I see you have a microwave so why not do poached eggs in the microwave put a little water in your pudding bowl and the egg for 1 or 2 minutes no problem and less hassle.
I have just cooked a poached egg to perfection using this method. Although, I have the AF300 model and a square tin will not fit inside, but I did use the metal pudding dish. I placed the pudding dish into the air fryer using the tongs from my halogen oven and removed the same way. However, on trying to drain the water using a slotted spoon, gravity got the better of me and the egg fell into the sink. It was fine and I still ate it. I will use a foil dish next time to help me get it out safely.
The difference between the one cooked in the pudding basin and the one in the silicon bowl was probably because the pudding basin would get hot but the silicon bowl would not so no heat transfer.
my fav is the slice of buttered white, use a cup to cut out a circle, drop of oil in the hole when you lay down the bread, and then crack the egg into the hole. 4-5 mins @200 and heaven.
It just happens that I had a little egg-periment (HAHA) myself too! I wanted to find ways to have nice breakfast without much work, because I rather not eat anything if I need to do stuff for it in the morning. I used ramekins too, thinking that it would give me a much more even result and, and it does. For the base egg mixture I used Helen Rennie's recipe, If someone reads my comment the day I post it it's in her latest video as well. She uses milk and flour, but for a different reason I won't get into. I used it because straight eggs stick like glue and blows up in your face and eggs can get quite hot, but this mixture won't. 135 °C in my air fryer, with 4 very specific ramekins from Tesco, for 20 minutes. Leave them cool in the air fryer if you can. (but open it up right away, because they puff up beautiful, you need to see it!) my basket is 20*20 or 22*22 I can't remember. Xiaomi Smart Air Fryer Pro 4L.
I have a tiny sandwich maker, flat base, £5 does perfect fried eggs, scrambled, omlette 3 mins. Non-stick. 3 egg, egg poacher, water level determines soft medium hard, would not attempt using an Air Blower. Ps check out the cosori 26qt ceramic airfryer oven, has a hotplate at the base leave door open and put a frying pan on the bottom burner.
I’ll add this one to my list. The great thing about air fryers is they are so portable (especially the single drawers) many people take them with them on the road, camping, house Tenno actions etc hence using them in place of a hob
No, the square pans do not fit the af300, I’m working on a more detailed resource that shows exactly what pans fit in which air fryer, it’s coming soon!
It is much easier using conventional methods for most of these. With conventional methods, you can check “doneness”, and adjust cooking time accordingly.
@@CandidClara nah it works fine, 170 just isn't hot enough to do anything. I did 270 for 4 and it came out cooked with the yolk not too firm or runny. thanks though!
Fried egg 10 mins in airfryer or 2 mins in a frying pan!!! Scrambled eggs looked like rubber Poached eggs 1min in a ramekin of hot water in the microwave🙄
That doesn’t make it smart. Just get a hot plate and a skillet. This feels like when microwaves were young, and people irradiated a myriad of foods, just because. The pressure cooker does hard boiled eggs better, btw.
You can cook lovely soft scrambled eggs stirring in a pot in a couple of minutes. You can cook lovely soft scrambled eggs stirring in a microwave in around one minute. Why on earth would you ever spend five minutes or so doing it in an airfrier.......... P.S. Years ago working in a hotel room service, our excellent basket and chain timer & metal hot water bath egg boiler gave up the ghost. We discovered you could "boil" eggs under a salamander grill for six minutes! You could also use the milk steamer on the coffee machine to make scrambled eggs but had to remember to clean it before making coffees.

I agree gas hobs are horrible to clean!
Many thanks for taking the time and effort to make the video. It really helps us new to air frying a lot. And a BIG thumbs👍 up.
My pleasure 😊

But do you eat them with Marmite toast? That is the important question!
@@CandidClara errrrr nooo way José
I didn't hear a time and temp for your poached eggs.

I'm looking into getting a food sealing machine. Would love to see you do a review on them
Really appreciate the suggestion and flattered that you’d like to see me do a video. Thanks for the comment
Oooh, I will have to give my favorite dish shakshuka a go in the air fryer now! Thanks for the information Clare, great video as usual :) :)
A much needed video. I agree, lots of conflicting advice on UA-cam. Just bought a Cosori and love it! Subscribed and value your advice.
Thank you, so pleased to be of help!
Thank you! I needed this right now😂
Happy to help!
Thanks for all the research you put into this. 🥰 Regards from Australia 🦘🇦🇺
My pleasure!
Hi Clara, you have added the same link for the Square Tins as for the Pudding Basins
Oh no! Good catch, thank you!!!
Just bought 6" tins, thanks for the recommendation
No problem, I think you’ll get a lot of use out of them
thanks clara for taking time to show us btw your looking lovely
Oh bless you, thank you for that kind comment!
Thank you for this video! Can you tell me where the non-stick tins are from, please? 😊
Yes, from Amazon, this is the link… amzn.to/48kCxBs

Yes silicone is a poor heat conductor, I also advise against silicone liners for this reason

Apologies Graham, it's not you, it's me, I forgot to include them, but they are in the description, 170c, 7 minutes
@CandidClara thank you 🙂
Does this fit in a ninja300 as I measured it and it seems a tight fit?

Alternative to foil ?
Just curious, why do you want an alternative?

Are you in the US by any chance and cooking in Fahrenheit?
Eggs in an air fryer…. that’s witchcraft!! Great, enjoyable, content as always 🎉
😆😆😆
Wow so much easier than using a frying pan 😂
People do them in an air fryer for a number of reasons, including not having a hob
🧡
You can do all that in a microwave in half the cooking times
If you have a microwave 🙄
You forgot to tell us the time and temperature for poached eggs
It’s in the description
Just Fry an egg on a hob in a pan with a bit of lard.
Guessing you didn’t read the description
Not worth the effort in air frier, use a frying pan instead
Please read the description 🙄
Its quicker on my induction hob and less washing up.
Just saying......
Yes of course, but sometimes people don’t have hobs (people actually take air fryers camping these days) or just want to! 🤷♀️
No
8k people say yes 🤷♀️
Really not worth the effort however 7 min boiled is useful.
As I said in the description, for a number of reasons a lot of people only have an air fryer to cook with
