Welcome to my UA-cam channel Hairliciously. In this channel, I will be taking you on a journey of my FUE hair transplant progress. Towards the end of November 2016, I had a 1700 FUE hair transplant done in South Korea at Motion Clinic (en.motionclinic.kr) to lower my hairline and to fill in my receding temples. The FUE hair transplant procedure took me about 7-8 hours to complete and cost me approximately $5000 USD.
I will be doing daily updates on my hair transplant progress, so feel free to subscribe and ask any questions you have. Thanks for visiting!
Please like, comment and subscribe! :)
======================================
Products I am using to supplement my FUE hair transplant:
1. HAIRLICIOUSLY Dr Pen 1.5mm 1-2x a week. (temples and hairline)
2. HAIRLICIOUSLY Hair Growth Supplement 2x a day
3. Minoxidil (Rogaine) - Minoxidil slows hair loss progression and promotes hair regrowth. I've noticed that using Minoxidil helped me grow my transplanted hairs a lot more quicker.
4. Pumpkin Seed Oil 1000 mg + HAIRLICIOUSLY Vitamins
5. HAIRLICIOUSLY Low Level Laser Therapy (LLLT)SHAVED MY HEAD: • I SHAVED MY HEAD AGAIN...

This is Huge. We may never see bald man ever again
@@TheDrakulie lol.Believe it when I see it!
@@carloscarion1748 it’s literally being documented for you to see with pictures for your very own eyes, by a real surgeon🤦♂️🤣
Its not just hair follicles, its wrinkles, scar tissue, and stretch marks as well. Could be a truly transformative treatment for skin health.
God please! Id love to get rid of stretch marks.
This is major breakthrough.
Doesn't work for old scars as described by the researching doctor himself but re injuring the scarred area could yield results.
Ive got some scars on my head i wonder if it would help
Thanks for the coverage again. Honestly such a simplified idea opposed to cloning. Block scar formation = regenerate hair follicles, what more could you ask for? Cloning is fascinating, but we need solutions now! Not 50 years from now! This is my favorite method
Yes, cloning is probably gonna take a while.. I’ll take anything that can grow hair!
Product sounds great, but let's hope it doesn't take 7 years before it comes out.
@@maxcitytv352 it can be used off-label right now if you find a doctor who will do it.

Yes, we did it!
its great that hairloss has been solved
not yet
Reversing fibrosis in general means regeneration of the extra cellular matrix. If so, Verteporfin can be used in combination with stem cell regeneration or cellular reprogramming to effect true regeneration/rejuvenation of the human body.
True but this isn't reversing fibrosis, this is preventing fibrosis from occurring in the wound site
I'm glad I'm not the only person waiting for hair multiplication. I don't want a transplant. They already have this treatment ready, but it's cloning so they're not gonna just put it out right away or admit it's ready.
Dr Taleb Bargouthi is sharing his human clinical trial in real time updates on the Hair Restoration Network. You can ask him questions direct.
We need a study of microneedling at 1.5 mm with Verteporfin. I have a feeling this may be a real cure to hair loss and even a way to thicken hair by increasing the number of hair follicles on the scalp. This might be the real answer to hair cloning by hair neogenesis.
yes, this def would be an interesting study to conduct, esp seeing how hairs are growing from FUE extraction sites!
dude!
Microneedling doesn’t work
@@beaglesnlove580 Thanks for your contribution, your opinion means so much.
@@bsherf934 thanks I try to make a difference
Why would we not expect puncturing balding areas and injecting Verteporfin would lead to some hair regrowth through the same mechanism?
Unlimited hair transplants let's go
Fascinating stuff, I had never heard of verteporfin before.
On top of what he’s saying that’s awesome is a hair steamer from Amazon cost about $120 but worth it . The steamer will get the blood flowing to the scout and hair roots . Also oil from scout will come out . Also the dead skin level easily will come off .
IT IS 'SCALP'...NOT 'SCOUT',
Guys, while Jeff bezos is bald, you know that there is still no 100 percent legit androgenic alopecia cure available
Well i think once it has gone past a certain stage no money can bring it back. + I'd rather have $150 billion in the bank than a full head of hair..
Elon musk's hair transplant?
@@BhanukaEkanayake He did it early enough and now swallows finasterid every day
He was bald before he started Amazon. So it was too late for him with current knowledge.
Some guys are happy being bald
Awesome find man!
Great information Chief. Thank you Sir.
VERTEPORFIN is used to treat certain eye diseases, including macular degeneration, pathologic myopia, and presumed ocular histoplasmosis .so the question is what are the side effects?
It has a great safety profile in humans. Just make sure to follow the same instructions as Visudyne (brand name verteporfin)
And would the efficacy be stronger for fine hair damaged by DHT? Would be interesting to see results after top scalp injection.
How would it affect the implanted hairs on top of the head if you injected verteporfin? Would more grafts survive and improve the quality of every hair transplant? Would there be less shock loss of hair surrounding grafts?
I don't think so, it is supposed to re-grow hair on wounds
Sounds like a good way to fill in scar tissue areas from previous hair transplant procedures!
Would this work on old scars or does verteporfin have to prevent the initial formation of scar tissue?
@@zeethree It must be in fresh wounds
@@zeethree if you rewound the scarred region, you could in theory reproduce the tissue there prior.
@@apeture_explorer4810 technically, doesn't the injection itself cause a minor wound?
@@vladram9084 you need to remove all of the former scar tissue. Vertoporfin works by blocking scar tissue from forming, instead it heals and mimics the surrounding area cell DNA which in this case would be skin tissue with hair follicles
Latanoprost, also an eye medicine, has been shown to regrow hair in some observed cases.
Would this drug not be able to regrow hair in places where we have already had hair but it has stopped growing?
Like with other hair loss drugs is always good to start at early signs of MPB because trying to regrow follicles where scar tissue has form is just impossible atm. Is easier to prevent than trying to recover
@@H.E.M. Not if you surgically remove the scar tissue and injected verteporfin.
I believe it has to be on a fresh wound
@@hairliciously interesting! This may be the stepping stone needed for the regrowing or renewing dead follicles though! Maybe?! Lol!
@@hairliciously so you think verteporfin needs to stop the initial formation of scar tissue? Couldn't it work on the same principle as microneedling except at a deeper level? Doesn't it actually create scars if you microneedle too deeply? Isn't the crux of baldness scarring of the tissue that results in permanent hair loss? Wonder if verteporfin can help slow hair loss itself?
Great information Aaron, well done 💯👏🏽
Thanks ray!
I'm sure this has already been asked multiple times but does this mean that we could deliberately make similar fue- like wounds anywhere in the scalp and inject verteporfin in order to create more hair follicles? Or it works only where a hair follicle was previously removed?
No, it can only regrow hair where there was a follicle before.
This does however mean we can greatly increase the number of grafts used in a hair transplant.
@@tyawesomejohnson1672 first of all thanks for the reply. What about the hair that has fallen off the recipient area? There were hair there before.
@@timtim1770 it will primarily heal not regenerate if that makes sense.
So, a hair forcefully removed by a surgeon will create a scar and can be healed.
Hair falling out due to balding is natural and thus doesn’t need healing if that makes sense.
This is a breakthrough for hair transplants as it will allow people to have way more graphs but it won’t regrow a bald scalp.
@@tyawesomejohnson1672 oh yeah! it does make sense. There has to be a wound not just hair follicle. Thanks a lot
This is not such a stupid idea though... because when we lose hair, we don't actually 'LOSE' the hair. The hair follicle has been miniaturised. If the whole hair follicle and surrounding tissue was removed and treated with Verteporfin it could potentially regenerate the dormant hair follicle.
Wondering what happens if you take a bald scalp, create a deep wound and apply verteporfin? Can hair regrow on a scalp that has been bald for a long time? How about verteporfin + microneedling? Does verteporfin have to be applied during the first formation of scar tissue or can you injure the scar tissue again and "reboot" the skin back to its original form? And if so what are the wider implications of that? Full body skin rejuvenation? Something like tretinoin and microneedling on steroids?
It seems that it mist be applied asap
damn I wanted to get a small hair transplant sometime next year but I kinda want to wait for this to be more wide spread
We should find out more in the next few months! More important is to get on meds to stabilize
@@hairliciously I've been on a bunch of different meds over the past 5 years. At the moment I'm using oral & topical minoxidil, oral & topical dutasteride, topical bimatoprost. probably some other stuff I'm forgetting at the moment 😂

This seems confusing, maybe Follica can look into this since they are working on creating new hair follicles. In addition, Kintor is making pyrilutamide, Hope Medicine have their antibody treatment, OliX Pharmaceuticals and Sirnagen are developing RNA androgen receptor blockers etc. Lots of exciting stuff!
Now my question is where do you buy verteporfin and does it repair damaged hair follicles?!!
Great news, amazing results, a very exciting time
ill Kx826 medicine be able to return hair falling and eliminate baldness forever? Is it conceivable that this big change will take place in the future?

I’m still Sceptical about this new drug… y’all remember ACell back in 2010 ? We believed it could Regenerate hair follicles but it turns out it only Miniaturise scars … but I do believe KX 826 and GT20029 will be the real breakthrough 💪🏻
could this be successful in treating scarring alopecia?
This would probably give a person like 500 more grafts at max and the extraction time between the primary and secondary extract would have to be at least 8 months
Exactly this is far from a cure . and no surgeon is aware of it
@@maffef4089 yes it’s only good from the perspective of covering the ugly scar HT leave behind . But who cares about that when HT are horrible as they are already
@@jays5926 not just good for covering up the scar. It means you can transplant more hair than you ordinarily would have before Verteporfin. If donor sites regenerate some hairs, then you are free to take more from the donor region with the knowledge that some will return
@@bingbung And will these 500 hairs always return?
The amount of cope in this video exeeds even the amount of years hair cloning will be available
Have they done any studies related to dormant and dead hair follicles with Verteporfin? Could the same mechanic be applied to that as it is with donor area follicles or do they work with different mechanics? It could mean the difference between a more slow pace hair transplant regiment vs not hair transplants at all.
I'm curious to know if it can regrow hair follicles after punching a hole in a old FUE scar
I believe it has to be a fresh wound
Does this mean it regrows hair on regular bald sites in addition to FUE extraction areas?
Is that a one time permanent solution or like minoxidle you need to use it more to sustain results?
Maybe I missed it but how old are the scars? Hair loss due to trauma and swelling some would come back after a few months of healing.
it is actually a miracle.. if intentionally extracted hair can grow back using this medicine then just think about the naturally falling hair...
Any updates with you taking topical dutasteride?
I wonder if this might work as a follow-up to micro needling.
what do you mean?
@@mirandapillsbury7885 Look up "micro needling for hair loss".
@@ayokay123 yes but why would this product be great specifically after microneedling? due to absorption?
i have hair loss, but not male pattern baldness, so I guess I'm excited?
So this means we can get more grafts
Could this protentional work with damaged wounding like deep micro needling and not only from FUE ?
We don’t know but sounds like something worth investigating further since microneedling is wounding
But can Verteporfin work through injections to create new hair follicles in androgenetic, primary and secondary scarring alopecia and not just in cases where the hair grafts are extracted as with FUT and FUE surgeries?
Yes curious about this
Wonder same thing.
Do you think it may help grow hair in scars in the front of scalp?
How do they know those "new" hairs weren't just existing dormant follicles in catagen phase that cycled back to anagen like they normally would?
I'd assumed they totally removed all the hair follicles from that zone
@@atanaZion That's a good question, how do we know they did? When they extract follicles to transplant, they would only extract ones that are visible (in anagen phase). Any that are dormant they wouldn't extract because they can't be seen. So it's reasonable to think that they missed some dormant ones.
Would this not work on balding areas also
If You don’t mind, do you mind telling the community who you are, your background etc..? I am new to your channel.
"More time"? How much more time?
Imagine if this really works infinite hair
Hey are there any results for scarring in the recipient area??
I have scars on the back of my head from past acne, so from that there is a scar/bald spot, would this be able to repair the follicle and regrow in those spots as well?
Only recent wounds (the ones during transplant)
In theory you can just make a new wound and Apply verteporfin. This Will work for people who have scars from accidents and surgeries aswell. I’ve had a FUE but if this works some doc could make new holes where my scars are, apply verteporfin all over and watch the skin regenerate with hair follicles.
if i use it for 1 year then stop using it.. will my hair will fall off?
I remember getting a glass cut top side by my rib, n noticed hair that wasn't there in the past 😇
That sounds very interesting and I can see where the enthusiasm is generated with the fact of the matter is is that things like this tend to take decades to even remotely become possible or useful for consumption I do admire the fact that you really do the research and you’re into this I think it’s great but I always have to ask a question where is the efficacy and when will he actually appear on the market, another question I have isWhat will happen to companies that are providing other transplant services and such and are they going to be a hindrance to the production and availability of this product if it does in fact takeoff,
It shouldn't take decades, this isn't a new drug. Its already used now for eye conditions and the like so I think all it really needs is awareness big enough to create the demand to induce the supply.
Is it already being used against scars?@@pododododoehoh3550
Hey man!
I was windering if you could do a tutorial on how to prepare a pyrilutamide solution, with powder pyri?
My concern would be that could cost thousands of dollars the treatment for a single person.
Verteporfin isn’t that expensive
@@hairliciously how much would it cost to treat oneself a month? Is it available for purchase already?
If it works and is sustainable, I've got a blank cheque.
@@danielorozco1728 one would have to get injections a few times a year each session costing probably like, $1,200 each
@@maffef4089 fair enough
How can you imagine this drug and technology being effectively used in a major hair transplant? I think it would involve a massive controlled dosage over a wide area. Would that be too much vertiporfin?
It can't be used for already healed FUE scars, can it?
Apparently no
is there any hair translate for leg hair? Anyways to regrow leg hairs? I got lasered for my dark pigment spots on my legs but they used IPL laser which is used for laser hair removal... I did not know that before hand they just told me my hair will fall off but grow back and it did not grow up after 3 months... I have bald spots on my leg hair
I could easily see this happening to me since I have the same concerns with my legs. Do you know which lasers could have been used without the risk of hair loss? What is a better alternative to IPL?
What’s up with this after 9 months? Any updates? 🤔
How often did they have to have injections?
so it can regenerate extracted hairs but not hairs affected by miniaturisation? im confused 💀what an interesting discovery haha
No, we don't know that yet. It hasn't been tested on miniaturized hairs yet.
@@fennec5082 OMG. Why on earth would they not test it on bald patches first because that's what concerns most people first?
Why wouldn’t this be used on the thinning topical areas, instead of trying to regrow transplanted areas…?
I guess this is good. I mean it is but regeneration of new follicles of one's that went away naturally is what would be better. Don't get me wrong till take this. Maybe after they pull each plug they give it a dose of the regenerater.
Im George .. we are all George with hair 😂😂
Can you damage areas that hair loss has happened and regrow what was lost?
can they just use this drug into bald areas in conjunt with some anti androgenic that might be aproved in the future (pyrilutamide or gt20029) to regrow hair in bald spots? if this drug can do this + the added benefit related to hair transplants it might be the pivot point when it comes to treating hair loss
Can it work without extraction? Maybe micro-scaring then injection? Interesting.
Why would they extract more hair if they’re able to regrow it instead of just applying it to the balding areas
Exactly! It makes no sense why there's all this talk about it being a miracle drug and yet they're talking about extractions and transplanting. Just put it in the bald spots and forget about transplanting if this drug works so well
