2000 SPECIAL REPORT: "BOSTON HALL OF JUSTICE" (PART I)

  • "In 'Real Justice,' FRONTLINE goes inside the halls of the Suffolk County courts, revealing an intimate look at America's criminal justice system. It's a system that bears little resemblance to television legal dramas such as 'The Practice,' in which cases are decided on the strength of dramatic courtroom speeches by impassioned attorneys able to devote all of their attention to a single case or client.
"In contrast, the real life lawyers in 'Real Justice' spend their days shuttling back and forth between different cases and different courts in an attempt to keep the wheels of justice turning. Part I of the documentary follows prosecutors and defense attorneys through District Court, where cases such as trespassing and car theft are dispensed swiftly; part II examines Superior Court, where serious crimes such as manslaughter and murder are addressed. In both courts, time is at a premium.

I have never called a person a “queer” and I never said anything about having a brand new pair of steel toed Timberlands on. The man actually knocked my son over and never apologized for it. That truly is what started all of this

I’ve lived in the Greater Boston area my entire life. I’ve seen lots of good and lots of bad from “both sides” of the law and in some instances been directly involved.
Boston is my home - I’ll always love the place I call home..

1:24:34 embezzles 7,600$ from the govt thru welfare fraud , yet complains to her FREE lawyer (calls her a bitch) about a sweet deal for probation and paying back half of the money. Also 10 missed court dates and repeateldy let go with not 1 day of jail. entitled attitude? strangely unsurprising.
