      Quick question: The Scarlett 4i4 comes with software to use the mixer, I'm assuming. Is the app fully functional and free or is is some type of trial-ware to entice us to upgrade for payment? I'm new to this and want to learn in the easiest way and don't want to pay for something I don't really need. Thanks!

    I originally Bought mine whilst awaiting my SSL2+, and I have to admit, IT IS EQUAL if not almost a TAD? better. depending on what someone is looking for. I dig the Amphenol Plugs, (Moghami), sturdy build, Isa Preamps which is dope,. I also dig that you can change the color rings. Mine can stay on even with the pc off.? pretty cool. also really like the mix Channel User interface, much more helpful with the decibal clipping avoidance.
    The SSL2+ having Nuetrik Connectors opposed to Amphenol and the legacy 4K/vs. the Isa. Both are Hella impressive. I have even seen demonstrations where they switch the aiso, and can barely tell a difference. The Isa preamp is a classic. good for vocals. I like being able to offer artist the option of whatever preamps they wish the Onyx, the Isa, or the 4k

    Nice video review. Looking forward to get my hands on the 4i4. Just wanted to ask though as I am totally new to these kind of stuff, can you share how did you manage to mix/sync the Music inputs and align them with the Video recordings? The music input side I understand that you can record them separately on your DAW and then just mix them up at 1 output as a result. Sorry for asking these questions as my objective is to produce a similar video production just like what you showed in this video with all videos showing in 4 quadrants and they are sync with the sounds of the music. Appreciate if you can take time to reply. Thanks.

    • @mrzsmusiclessons
      @mrzsmusiclessons  2 роки тому

      Thank you! There’s usually a feature in your video editing software that will automatically sync the sound with the video. You can highlight the video and audio files then right click and select “synchronize clips”. Luckily it’s pretty easy these days!

    • @mrzsmusiclessons
      @mrzsmusiclessons  2 роки тому

      I’ve used Adobe Premiere Pro and Final Cut, both have that feature.

    • @pjsibal3916
      @pjsibal3916 2 роки тому

      @@mrzsmusiclessons so essentially what you are saying is that you used either Adobe premier or final cut pro to stitch the videos and overdub the music recordings that you did earlier and synced them up with the videos? Is that a correct assumption? May i also ask if you need a special video recorder to do this or just an iphone will do? Tnx

  • @medec021

    Before you unleash your creativity and buy: Be aware of the fact that the 4i4 has no hardware or software preamp for anything you plug into the back (line 3+4) of the 4i4. You need to start your DAW (!) to simply jam with a keyboard to youtube videos. Or plug the keyboard into the front (where you have preamps) which wastes the two back inputs. Drove me nuts.
