      I shut down a salesman hard the other day for trying to tell me thats not a big deal (he really wanted me to take the last 2023 on their lot). Outside of the door handle or the start button, it's the part of the truck the driver will interact with/view the most. I care about that more than heated seats, moonroof, etc., lol.

      1. Heated seats - not needed for most months in some states and others is not even use (Arizona, California, New Mexico, Texas,)
      2. Moonroof - I really don't like the sun burning through my scalp.

    Nice truck, but no 4 low for 48k??
    My 2022 Colorado came to 37k after dealer incentives and it came with a proper two-speed transfer case.
    Make no mistake, GM’s decision to not even offer 4 low on ‘base’ models is an experiment to see just what they can get away with, and it is also a giant middle finger to the American consumer.
    Every time someone says “C’mon, how often do you actually use 4 low? You don’t really need it”, a GM executive smiles, because his bonus just got bigger.
    We can’t give them a free pass on this.

      I dont know, I saw some videos about that. I saw one in a dealership the other night, it was unlocked so I sat in it/checked out the interior. I wanted to see the lights; there's a shortcut right on the screen, even without keys. The truck is loaded with options. My new Elevation has the preferred pkg, convenience pkg, towing pkg, bed liner, and side steps. After tax, title and license i ended up paying 40k and that was with my GM Retirees dicount or GMS price. Best truck i have ever bought, great handling, powerful and stylish inside and out.

    I looked at one of these earlier this summer...it was a 2WD Elevation in Red. It was sharp looking. I ended up going with a '23 Sierra Elevation with the 5.3L V8 instead. The Elevation is a decent package for the money plus you get the blacked-out 20" wheels (or 18" on the Canyon) and black grill with the body-painted bumpers. By the time you pay almost $50,000 for a midsize truck, you might as well look at the Sierra with a V8. Styling-wise, GMC's look more refined than the Chevy counterparts...Chevy has a sporty look, GMC's have a more luxurious look to them.

    • @windycitywarrior71
      @windycitywarrior71 23 дні тому

      Ehh the “refined” look is only correct when you talk about the upgraded gmc interior which an elevation does not have. Is basically a rebadged rst Silverado. Same truck.

    I like your videos but as far as the acceleration… where is it? The power numbers don’t seem to add up in the performance and sound department.

    • @aerynlovell4754
      @aerynlovell4754 4 місяці тому

      The horsepower numbers that car manufacturers publish are measured at the engine without accessories, without a restrictive factory exhaust, and without being connected to the drivetrain. With a 4x4, you must subtract about 25% from the published horsepower number to get a better idea of rear wheel horsepower. If car manufacturers don't measure horsepower/torque at the rear wheels then they are giving customers useless theoretical numbers. The problem with a turbocharged engine is that before boost - low horsepower, then boost - maximum horsepower for a short period then horsepower drops again. When the intake air passes by the turbo, it absorbes heat from the turbo before being forced into the engine. The engine can't operate at peak efficiency when you are forcibly shoving hot air into the combustion chamber. When the combustion chamber gets too hot, the computer sprays extra fuel in to cool down the combustion chamber to protect the engine. Then all that unburned fuel is dumped into the catalytic converter which destroys fuel economy.

    I think it looks great, but I ended up buying a used Tacoma TRDPro for three main reasons.
    The first reason I chose the Tacoma over the Canyon/Colorado was most people's reason, RELIABILITY!
    My second reason was due to the combination of the 2.7l turbo charged engine, LCD instrument cluster, electric parking brake and no electric rear glass.
    My third reason is, RELIABILITY! 😂

      Funny because the outgoing Colorado was a pretty reliable truck, so I’m having trouble believing the only reason you went with a Taco is reliability. Then again, the only reason to buy the Toyota over anything else in the segment is unproven reliability.
