Got my first 125cc TAG kart used wasn't running, because of neglect! Carb was all blocked up from sitting wherever it's previous life was. Didn't know anything about it, i took the carb apart cleaned it set everything back to stock settings. Motor came to life, guy sold it because he couldn't get it running! All i did was Google the iame engine, and got the pdf file with no help i read everything to get it back running. I'm over 200lbs. and this kart scared the shit out me; everything happens instantly its doesn't wait!! Acceleration is brutal breaking traction like your in a pro street on the gas leaving a car show🏎💨💨💨
Recently I bought my own 2 stroke 125cc shifter kart. And this weekend I drove it for the very first time on a outdoorkarting circuit here in the Netherlands and it is not realy difficult to drive it but man the g forces while cornering is insane! You need a good physical condition. So people who say racing or karting is easy and yes in a slow 4 stroke indoor kart maybe but these karts are on a different level and yes it’s official I am a kart addict! Thank you for uploading this film!
I liked it, whoever made this should definitly make another one sometime, but going more in depth into the histyory, going back to the 60s, maybe interviewing some Vintage guys. great job I enjoyed this
Years ago, someone said to me “let’s go karting” and I thought “that’s for little kids wanting to go for a ride” but luckily I did go, now I have a DD2 and a KZ and I love it, it’s give me a lot of joy (and frustration), but I’m not planning on quitting anytime soon.
This is BY FAR the absolute BEST documentary made for karting and the karting community!! I applaud the crew that made this. I raced from 2002 till 2009 in Southern CA in HPV3 with a High-Rev build and with a Kart Racing Technologies chassis. My kart has been hanging in my garage and hasn't moved since 2009. I miss my old karting community.
Made me feel so small as a karter, but inspired me to go farther, dream bigger, believe, and persevere more than ever before. Thanks for this amazing film guys, it came out amazing
Thanks very much for uploading this. To begin with, I thought that it was unreasonable to pay to see this documentary, but after watching this, he deserves every last penny he receives, what an absolutely phenomenal film, loved every second of it. I`m trying to become the best Karter in Ireland, and the world! Racing Senior Max.
All my friends say that racing is so easy you turn a wheel, and I showed them this and they actually feel bad for what they've said. Words can not describe how amazing this video is. Great job!!!!!!!!!!
your lucky my friends wont bother watching this video you cannot even begin to persuade them what karting is really like they also think its just turning a wheel
al my friends think the same just they just think you turn the wheel to left and right and press the accelerator or brake pedal and thats it and its impossible to even close to say what it really is because they wil just start talking about football or how you call it in the us soccer
Won’t lie this was bloody awesome, covered everything that everyone should know about karting from new to the veterans, covered the behind the scenes well!! Top job!!
British Karting is the best and most competitive in the world... we have people from all over the world enter our national championship. You have to be a real racing driver to compete in Britain
...when I put my helmet on and close the lid, nothing else matters :D hard to say how good the movie is. In my opinion, people who do kart, do not need to watch it, and people who actually do need, in no way can handle watching it all through... IMHO
great film, great explanations and really makes you feel the emotion of the sport. I love karting over all other forms of racing hands down the most physical and mental intensity in the world.
This is a great piece on karting. I'm planning on getting into it and this documentary showed there is more to these karts than I thought. Great piece man.
A first-rate documentary. It covers all aspects of the sport for anyone considering it. And any dad whose wife isn't ready to give her OK because of the danger should have her watch this; it puts danger in proper perspective, and that it shows karting is a wholesome family activity can make it a much easier sell.
we have 125 Stock_Honda here Tim, they run on long tracks under CAMS, if youd like more info contact me,we are trying to get it into AKA...it really is a great class, very close racing and no secrets or engines that are better than others, it all about the driver and set up on the kart.
Plus i always come on the corners sideways giving a little fraction of a touch at each corner for making the people shiver even last time i went karting a lady took me in photo every time i went by her :) she was getting he camera ready everytime :) it means alot to me.
dont know where some of your interviewed guys were living but the uk has run honda 125,s since the late 70,s , shifter karts have been racing since 1960, in the uk .. but we dont race so much on mickey mouse tracks , mostly on long motor racing circuits
Nice but here in America karting and motorsport is declining so literally the nearest track is like an hour away, and they probably either race with e karts or those rental karts, but jm sure that's not the case in europe, Nd also most of them don't even have karting clubs and just a small track
Depends on which class you run and where you're from. Across the pond in the UK...You guys just plain get the shaft, unfortunately. We have quite a few budget karting series in the USA(Stock honda[everywhere really], Yamaha Sr[WKA], TaG[Expensive, but not bank breaking], and our dirt racing scene is absolutely incredible[I've seen SEVERAL 4 cycle powered, $600 race winning karts]. Not only that, but we all have massive vehicles(I can fit my kart into the back or on top(YUP LOL) of my SUV.
The biggest problem with growing Karting is the lack of diversity and how expensive it is to actually get into racing... no matter how much used parts you get, youll still be spending thousands a year(everything included) to race and actually become someone in racing. Obv if you are just racing at a local track thats a different story but if you wanna become a national champion or at least compete in those types of competitions you will be spending big...
Still cheapest form of racing... definitely cheaper than F-1... you have to have 2 things to race I always say- Time & Money... cant have one without the other...
In germany we have this one guy, at least 60+ who lost his arm somehow.. But still he does kart racing no big race karts or expensive gear... just everything as cheap as possible. But still he does it because he loves it and my god he is fast :D
I think a better angle of attack would be to have the intent of attracting new participants but impress on councils that street races would bring better prosperity to town business. Accomodation, hospitality etc. Build it and they will come and also participate. Natural progression.

@@sixtenallingersandgren6674 racing on a high level costs minimum 20k a year, not many people just lay down 20k for a sport a year haha, luckily my parents can but we only train this year and we aren't spending that much as I said before, but racing is 2 times less expensive than racing
I have no clue your situation but if you want it you can make it happen. Racing isn't that expensive if you do it correct. Mow lawns clean stuff and work in a year you will have enough money to buy a kart. Instead most kids sit in there room watch UA-cam videos play videogames and complain.

Nat Clawson me and my dad aren’t rich, but I’m going to be a professional racer, so I got a job and helped my dad out. It’s currently going really well, this year we were able to drive the full season, I’ll be in tag senior next year if I stay in karting.
Patchman56 gaming thank you, best of luck in super one. I also might move into shifter instead of tag senior. I got to drive a dd2 today and it was the most fun I’ve had in a long time. A super kind man let me drive it for a practice session and I went over a second faster than he did lol.

What about the lo206 Briggs and Stratton ....that is becoming increasingly popular,,I don't hear much about that category.
Okay,my son is getting into jr lo206 next season, and yes the track we are at has a large division of the Briggs here...very popular in the N.W.
Briggs 206 has recently become popular, I like it. I think this was filmed before they were raced a lot.
Yeah ..that makes sense...I like racin 206as well.you can truly focus on driver skills..
Would've preferred to see more real road tracks as opposed to temporary parking lot conversions.
