Have you got a bottomless bank account and have nothing better to spend it on. Do you have a bit of driving talent. You my friend are the next world champion. If you don’t have the money go look somewhere else....
Took a interesting route into it. A lifetime of crap karts . Then found a really good indoor track. Kept being told to race outside. So actually did pretty good. Then kept being told to race at Mosport. Nope it's too far is what I said. Finally went and fell in love with the place. Got offered a job as a track marshall. So was working the A+D morning race and afternoon race was my pay Then would also work the club races. Got to help out with with lots of things. When management changed I bought my own kart! This was to be my 15th year at it but a medical issue ruined my season. Should be able to squeeze in 2 A+D before winter hits us. The best part is the people! There was a new guy a few years ago We raced eachother and team mates for endurance races and next year will be 4th Montreal GP in a row. One of race dad's recently passed away and it sucked. His daughter a good racer and a really good kid. She now 17 and have known her since she was 8!
It looks like a big money-making racket. In the vintage days, anyone could afford to race on the weekends. Now you even have to have a license? It never fails, The backyard fun for the family turns into a financial raping... Damn, I wish I could do it!
@@higtmance3641 You say that so matter of fact, like everyone knows you must have a license to drive a go kart on the weekend. I remember when go karts were a kids toy. I also never had to have a license. Forcing a usury on a weekend hobby is just wrong.
@@nasanction Why does it being a weekend hobby make it any different? You need to understand all the rules there are in karting before you can do anything.
my mom has a role to play for my team.... making sure her phone dies before the 1st practice
I love how passionated the guy in red is ! Hope more dads like mine and him walk this earth 😎
Just realised this music is the intro to assetto corsa 😂
i'd love to.. BUT ITS TOO DAMN EXPENSIVE!!!
Yeah it’s stupid. It dosent need to be nowhere near this exspensive if someone in charge would put some limits in

I really want to start next year (saving up currently) but don't understand how clubs, teams etc. work, could you guys explain it to me!?
Jamie Stockwell clubs is who owns the track, team is optional without one you will progress slower.
UnityParis ok thanks!
For eg FECK owns Forest Edge the club only owns the circuit when karting
Jamie Stockwell where do you live and do you know your local track

Of course you need a license... This is just as serious as any other kind of motorsport racing.
