Check out the filtrol 160, is basically a filter with housing that bolts to the wall above the standpipe and filters the discharge water prior to the standpipe
There is a rule about standpipe height. ''Laundry standpipes must be tall enough to extend past the washing machine's overflow line-typically 30-36” in height, or 18”-30” above the trap. (P-trap) I've seen elsewhere it should not exceed 42''. Check your local codes.
@@burymebelowawillowtree9243 not if it’s stainless steel. I’ve used stainless steel traps for years and never had a problem. The issue is checking the trap periodically, if you forget and they get too clogged they may push off from the force of the water. If you remember to check them, it’s not a problem.

Thank you for the video. Is there any diy video for adding a lint trap to prevent it going in to the pump or impeller?
The Stand Pipe is definitiy high.... anyhow I am having the same issue, how is working out? Did you have any issues? Improvements?
Lint trap will not slip away , it’ll brake and make a mess in the pipes. Don’t put down the drain pipe!
