I am about to reconfigure my laundry room to make it more efficient. Typical big utility sink going bye-bye. I will be doing a similar wall drain as you show. We have ALWAYS used a filter (One leg from cheap pantyhose works great. Disposable).
We replaced the drain field when we bought the place 24 years ago and that was $12,000 THEN.
I am glad you posted this video because it reinforces what I am about to do.
Biggest difference will be that my disposable "filter" will be something to empty instead of throw away.
Keeping it easily accessible is key.

Thank you for this! We’re brand new homeowners, and just had to pay a lot of money from the toilet hooked up to the same line as the washing machine that was clogged with lint. Looking how to do a lint catcher with a stand up pipe. Helpful video!

I just had to stick water filters on the hot and cold line so they would stop clogging. I’m so glad I don’t have to do this.

How many times can you clean the filter before you have to replace it.
My toilet got clogged from my wash braking and me having to hand drain the water by hand now my toilet won’t flush and won’t get unclog by anything any suggestions thanks
I have one of these, works great but the filter bag seam stitching comes loose very easily. Nothing is cheap with this thing

It still works excellent. You just have to make sure you constantly empty it and dont let it clog. I can't believe how much lint it catches.
I use a sock and it catches all of the lint.
Doesn't the actual sock contain lint? 🙄
Like heck, it does. Check yours now. I bet it's clogged.
Will this drain not fast enough and get an overflow?
Works perfectly. Has way more flow than necessary, even when mildly clogged.

Machine water pumps are strong. Same belt as the drum spinning.
