Good vid, especially liked the tip about pulling on the caliper before slipping it off, i too am about to to do my front pads and found this video the most useful one ontaweb
Bro you used the contact point on the rotor as leverage... it's a sport car not an old truck. I'm guessing the customer called about a grinding noise when applying the brakes for the first few months? If not let me know, I'm changing my brakes tomorrow...
I’m assuming your talking about how I popped the pads out? That little bit of pressure I put on the rotor didn’t affect anything. I won’t beat on a rotor with a sledge hammer then reuse it. But a little scuff from the tip of a screw driver or pry bar won’t hurt anything.
@Warren’s Garage Word. I was just a bit concerned with the force needed to pop that thing out, no disrespect ment. Your video is actually the most inclusive video i have been able to find. I am changing out my brake pads on my veloster for the first time tomorrow in the morning. Other videos are just "were gunna re equip this entire system, here is where brake pads go." Hopefully I don't have to punch it out like you had to on that car but you never know lol.
Excellent video, one of the best brake pad replacement videos I've seen. Well done.
Thank you for the support
All done, thanks Warren, excellent vid, still got all my fingers and front brakes legit for a few more revolutions
I’m glad I could help

What grease did you apply on the pads and on the bolts?
I use a ceramic break grease from Amazon on all moving/rubbing parts and anti-seize on all threads
