I just started, and this man has been a huge help! Im currently an apprentice and im “not allowed to tattoo customers yet” which is understandable but this man has helped me with understanding line work aswell as other things!!
good luck with your apprenticeship. I tattooed on a customer on my first day but I believe that is only because i tattooed in prison for 3 years and the guy i am apprenticing under came thru the same recovery program I did when he got out. All in all, it's a huge blessing where I ended up. no doubt about that. just stick with it and you'll get there. And this guy is absolutely knowledgeable and helpful
Bro, almost noone gives this advoce online, most the tutorials on here are for intermediate and up, very few detailed videos for absolute beginners, love you and nathan for what yous are doing ❤ 🔥 🙏
I think Reel Skin is the most comparable to human skin. The only problem with Reel Skin that I've noticed is that once the stencil is dry and set it permanently stains the fake skin and you can see the "ghost" outline of the stencil in many places after tattooing the design.
You can try to let stencil a bit shorter, on Those skins I would let like 1-2h then remove it with vaseline , and you keep the light stencil for work which if you do it right away would erase itself during process of tattooing
Whats reeal skin .. is that much different than this stuff .. pig skin is good .. but i wouldnt use that machine on any one after that and dont poke yourself while u in there
Just wanna say thank U bro so much Hey, you guys are doing a good thing. Helping people instead of just letting them make mistakes, it's a serious business you are doing surgery on some one and you guys arm us with the knowledge. MUCH APPRECIATED boys. 💯🤝🍻🏅🏅
Thank you for all the good advice and tips, really! I'm just starting my path on tattooing, got my first machine and everything else i need and im learning how to use it all thanks to you! Big love from Estonia!
I got my first kit it’s ok to use the same needles on the fake skin right of course not in people but just to mess around ? Soo I wouldn’t have to get new one or not do that ?
Thank you!!!! I'm just starting out on fake skin and the smudges have been so irritating. On another note I just bought a P90 transfer paper printer but when I print the stencil does not appear on the paper any thoughts as to why this may be happening?
When you tattoo on fake skin do you still sanitize everything just as you would if you was tattooing after you get finished as you would if your tattooing on a real person?
It even works with graphite pencils, just softly dab vasiline or similar stuff on top. I inked a small (10cm) practice design like this because I'm still waiting on my stencil delivery. Pencil comes off afterwards with a bit more vasiline rubbing. Probably not the best solution, but workable.
Get the 3mm any thicker will just be expensive for nothing, 3mm is fine and you can use both sides, there’s a lot of bad ones around but the larger ones seem the most consistent.
I dont know how to explain it, but your voice sounds like it’s in 1.25 or something during the hand cam. am i crazy or is it sped up? also l the fake skin squares look so sick!!
Which fake skin is best to use please? Because all are different and most very hard and machine ripping the skin no matter walts . Can you please help me to find good fake skin Thank you ❤
Just print on inkjet... Roll paper on fake skin. Ours transfers great Use regular printing... Photo high res will not transfer. Even days later, u can roll ink onto fake skin from printout
@@MiareaRoseandNXONEOFFICIAL I have an ecotank printer that’s perfect but to use an inkjet it’s best to find one that’s easy to refill, I have a cheap hp inkjet that I’ve refilled a spare cartridge with stencil ink and that works great, there’s vids on here showing how to saw the top off a cartridge, clean it out and refill with the stencil ink, tbh your better off getting a cheap ecotank £140 and stencil ink £70.
Use them all. Practice lines with all liners and some round shaders as well. Pay attention to the voltage you'll need to use with the gauge and needle size. You usually need more voltage the more bigger the needle group, but you'll have to decide how much is good for you and how slow/fast you line.
Wait, so Green Gold (glide) can be replaced with Vaseline? Is it relatively the same TYPE of product. I don’t have the Green stuff but I have Vaseline 😂 sorry I’m really new. Thanks for all the videos!
please tell me how to put white ink on fake skin because if I try it always turn gray and I want to put highlights so badly but don‘t know how when it always turns out gray I even tried different types of white ink 😢
I'd recommend going for quality fake skins from brands such as ReelSkin, Frankenskins. Using cheap fake skins can be counter productive when trying to learn how to tattoo.
Yes you can you just have to remember that its always going to come out darker in the fake skins and the brand you get has a big deal with being able to as well. I use Reel Skins
What did do for fake skin to practice like neck tattoos or those odd and difficult but poplar places that wrap around that cannot compare to a flat fake skin.
My fake skin (reel skin) won't take stippling. Gotta go over and over which is bad practice cos no skin is gonna take that abuse. Im using a cnc q2 at 4mm stroke and 5v. Any idea?
why you sound southern than australian.. stick to an accent homie.. smh.. Thank you for this video it was the best so far. You are a little chatty, But, its more in depth so that's good. Keep it up.

Hey u a tattooer now?
How do I get an apprenticeship?

Glad to have helped you! keep practicing and I wish you success
I’ve been tattooing for 6 years now and I still use practice skins ✌🏼
Thank you very much for spending your time to teach these tips and guidance. I am learning a lot from you
Thanks for sharing
Had no idea it took 3hrs to dry, no wonder my stencils kept smearing. Thanks again, I never stop learning.
Use a hairdryer. Dries in less than a minute
Wow 3 hrs ???
@@keniaxkenia9323 no, the max is usually 10-20 minutes. Depends the time your artist is willing to chill, before they start the tattoo clock🤙🏼
Me to I did stencil and straight tattooing and always smear off I have to after just cover up myself
Help me out what do you use to like get the stencil printed on the fake skin
I love the way you explain everything bro I appreciate all the knowledge fam

use bleach

You can try to leave wc bleach on reel skin ( or any other fake skin ) for few hours and it should totally disappear. It works for me.
Bro soak the final product in bleach it will come right off

What happened after 1 year?
Great video picked up on a few really great tips. Manythanks hun 🙏💚⭐👊💯
Using a blow dryer (hair dryer) cuts down the stencil setting time greatly.
@Mylfy Gamer high setting 5 minutes
I was wondering wat u wipe down on the skin before putting on the stencil? And wats the best thing to use to wipe away access ink?
I believe it’s vaseline
I got my first kit it’s ok to use the same needles on the fake skin right of course not in people but just to mess around ? Soo I wouldn’t have to get new one or not do that ?
Im on a roll with your videos I ordered a tattoo pen kit with fake skins and all it will be arriving in about 4 days, thanks for all the tips!
that's awesome to hear
What happened 2 years later?
Thank you!!!! I'm just starting out on fake skin and the smudges have been so irritating. On another note I just bought a P90 transfer paper printer but when I print the stencil does not appear on the paper any thoughts as to why this may be happening?
can i use vasaline or aquaphor instead of green gold. it looks about the same texture
Love how you teach! Thanks for taking the time to create these videos - know they're a lot of work to put together 🙌
What else could you use to transfer beside the grain/green? gold that you are using?
3:28 quel et la marque des peaux utiliser ? Merci
I find it so hard to actually stretch the skin but I can probably guess it’s the type of fake skin that I got
thanks
What is it Daniel? Green Gold stencil stuff? Where do we get it from?
What kind of stencil paper do you use?
For your stencils do you use regular copy paper And trace over it with spirit paper
It looks like he uses a printer with spirit ink, rather than a thermal stencil printer
He hand traced the first stencil
How do you do stencils
Wd-40 is a great way of getting rid of smears
Thank you!
How long do i wait to start working on the stenciled fake skin?
You will want to wait 24 hours after placing the stencil to tattoo it so it can fully dry.
this guy is making the gate keepers so mad. i love it 👌🏼 why tf would you keep people away from a industry? selfishness only
if you don't know the answer to that you probably shouldnt comment further
When you tattoo on fake skin do you still sanitize everything just as you would if you was tattooing after you get finished as you would if your tattooing on a real person?
Hi! Do you know if the brand Beoncall has good quality?
Does anyone knows where I can buy ReelSkin product that actually ship to Canada? Pleaase. Ty
where can i find the sketches from the video?
I use a blow dryer to dry tje skin quick and works well
Thx👍
Can you just freehand the design on fake skins? With sharpies to be exact? Thanks my man.
Yes you can do this
@@Tattooing101 appreciate the reply🤙

I'm having trouble with " splatter" when I initially start each run after refilling needle , and yes I dab the tip on a tissue before I start
We made a video about this topic! ua-cam.com/video/AHF723mSNSY/v-deo.html
Aye i just start tattoing on myself the pen i got is 200 dollars pen does it really make the difference with one that is 1000 dollars pen
Where do you Buy the 3mm Skins you use?? all i see is Amazon and Aliexpress on the internet
You can buy from Reelskin or Frankenskins. They're both good practice skins that I'd recommend
Thanks man great stuff! -Any Tattoo artists from the Triangle in North Carolina- Or people looking for some new ink?
Damn you’re good!!!
how thick would you recommend the fake skin to be? Would it be better to get 3mm or 6mm?
Get the 3mm any thicker will just be expensive for nothing, 3mm is fine and you can use both sides, there’s a lot of bad ones around but the larger ones seem the most consistent.
Do you recommend using distilled water when you tattoo humans?

I use reel skins
Why do my fake skins not want to hold the ink. I’m using good skins but they seem to almost be repellent.
Hi, I’m having the same issue. Have you figured it out?
Not yet and it’s frustrating really
@@drizzy9611 simple case of voltage and hand speed.

does anybody know a good site or something for free tattoo designs to use on fake skins?
Pinterest

I can do what I want the fake skin just doesn't keep the color, when cleaning it almost disappeared again.

I always hear people using Vaseline or A&D. I use Aquephor on my fake skin, is that safe to use on real skin or should I switch to Vaseline or A&D
I use green glide
Does fake skin, being harder than real skin, can damage the machine in the long term?
It won’t bother a decent machine with a good stroke but it does blunt needles quickly
So do you have to wait for the clients skin to dry for 3 hours or no?
You can use hairdryer
What side is the side you tattoo on though? My fake skins are very thin and they have a smooth side and a less smooth side
I'd recommend going for quality fake skins from brands such as ReelSkin, Frankenskins. Using cheap fake skins can be counter productive when trying to learn how to tattoo.
I didn’t have practice. But I tattooed my sister
Can you actually build light greys on the fake skin like you can on a person?
Yes you can you just have to remember that its always going to come out darker in the fake skins and the brand you get has a big deal with being able to as well. I use Reel Skins
❤❤❤❤❤
I was hoping he was going to actually tattoo the fake skin😂😂
The best thing I use for cleaning the skin is olive oil
What did do for fake skin to practice like neck tattoos or those odd and difficult but poplar places that wrap around that cannot compare to a flat fake skin.
You could roll up some cardboard and lay your skin across it, just need to keep it stable
Watching this because I have a literally box of cheap fake skins and there terrible tbh I prefer my leg
My fake skin (reel skin) won't take stippling. Gotta go over and over which is bad practice cos no skin is gonna take that abuse. Im using a cnc q2 at 4mm stroke and 5v. Any idea?
It’s not the equipment you’re using. Bit of those are than capable of stippling. Practice is the key
