I did my first tattoo on myself yesterday after a little fake skin practice only been tattooing a few days, hours and hours of content consumed, I’m happy with the outcome 👌
id love to see
Mines Last month and my knee rn is on fire 🔥 😩

Dont let these videos take you to anxiety or feeling like you arent ready. ive been artsy all my life, havent drawn for years but thought about more tattoos , was looking at shops and then said why not just get my own kit? Used one shitty practice skin and after that started doing my own on myself cause its all about confidence and not allowing ppl to tell you that you need this and that. Dont program your brain to that unless you really have no experience at all. The first tattoo i did , i love. I even chose a difficult position (my right leg right side of ankle) so uncomfortable; i was like a pretzel, but i love to challenge myself. Just breathe 🧘, & dnt get in your head with doubts! ✨
Facts. I used to hang out at shops as a kid and got to know a lot of great artists and ALL of them will immediately try to talk people out of tattooing. I think it’s a competitive thing like they don’t want competition lol. My barber said the same when I told him I wanted to go to barber school
Been thinking about wanting to do tattooing for the rest of my life use to draw a lot in Hs and do some
Graffiti but never done tats. So idk if I could do it or not.
@@dads_diy create your own world 🤍 i now have over 30 tattoos since this comment and they all are just as “professional” lol i wish i could show in the comments pictures

After tattooing Booth thighs and lett shin, I’ve comeback to the conclusion that the only pain worse than getting a tattoo, is not getting one.
facts im 18 an am 3 tats in to a sleeve got a long ways to go but have no plans in stopping haha
I loved the "ouch" honest reaction by you, I'm glad you mentioned the shakes which I think are caused by adrenaline and the blood sugar drop, because after I finished my first self tattoo I felt really crap after, it could be sugar drop or the post adrenaline comedown,. Thanks for your help I just subscribed so hope to check out more of your content.
Awesome im glad you liked the video. Tattoos are never really fun to get and it only makes it worse when your doing it to yourself. lol
Same my hand near the hand was shaking
Haha yeah my first leg tattoo my leg started shaking to the point of I had to stop, then whole leg was jelly
@@Tattooing101 ain't that the truth..I was going to apprentice 20 some years ago, then I had a kid and sold all my stuff.Recently I bought all the stuff again, found a lot of things have changed.Did my first tattoo on my left wrist and discovered just how hard it is to do it to yourself, hard to maintain lined and control when your the one with machine in hand and pain is yours to behold😂

Bro, I have the entire cast of Family Guy across the top of both legs. I started with one character and built up. Now I have an underwater scene on both legs. And have worked down to my feet. I’m out of real estate. I’ve tattooed myself with the use of mirrors and cameras, and even learned to tattoo ambidextrously. I’m not an artist, but I can draw if I have an image. It’s very rewarding and I love it when people come up and compliment my work. The look on their face is priceless when they ask where I got my work done and I say, “me.” I’ve done both arms, both legs, and now it’s just a matter of doing fill in, touch up, and putting it all together. Maybe some day I’ll take on some clients.
What a cool dude! Peace and love be with you, most tattoo artists are heavily against tattooing at home as a hobby. There is not a single ounce of judgement from you. Super rad! Gonna tattoo myself all over once I get comfortable with this machine, it might not be perfect but it’ll be my own hands. Thank you!
Youve met most tattoo artists?

This is some legit content mate 👌🏻
Mad props for doing this on camera.
I've tattooed myself 3 times now and I must admit that despite the pain I actually really enjoyed the process, because I could learn so much from it.
Yes I'm about to tattoo myself my 7th time . I'm looking for a good reference photo. I love seeing my progress. It's crazy how much you learn from one tattoo to the next

I did a cicada on myself after only doing stick and pokes and I’m so surprised how it came out. Sure, my lines aren’t perfect but they’re actually pretty solid and not super shaky. Beyond proud of myself.
thats awsome to hear!
Show a pic of the tattoo?!!
Gotta start somewhere!
My first tattoo was a stick and poke I thought was gonna last a few months but it’s been 4 years and it’s still my favorite out of 19
Same, five years and its still there lol
You guys explain everything so clearly. You guys explain way better than the guy I'm learning to tattoo from! :> Thank you so much.
Got my first tattoo done by me mate 9 years ago (RIP Aaron) and recently I came across your videos. I've practiced with the machine I bought and all the techniques I learned from you definitely helped. So far I could only deal with linings using a machine (I usually use 3rl for finer details and 9rl for clarity.) The shaders are done with poking. Thank you for the lessons!
Hi dear ! Here I am with my first machine that I bought on Amazon . I already have my body inked all over but, I decided to play on myself, retouching the lines in black, on my old tattoos. So from buying a machine until this video, is taking me months ! I am gonna take his supplies ideas and buy me, some fake skin. I would like to know, which fake skin did you practice and , if you don’t mind me ask you , where did you order please? Thank you for the help ! Have a great day !
I am comforted to see that I am not the only one who does not really appreciate the pain of self-tattoo!
The 🐐, I’m only 2months into tattooing and you have helped a lot just off by being humble and getting your craft better never rush. Step by step really is the key until that time comes when u know you got it
It has been a few years since I have tattooed, but all your videos are perfect for a quick refresher course. Thanks for the videos :)
Been tatting myself since I was 19, I’m 30 now. Just came across your vids & I can say you got talent bro ✊🏾 much love to you.
Hallow there I would want to see ur tatoos
I can have a big respect you for tattooing yourself just so you can teach us like you're applying something that'll stuck with your life forever just for our education.
Been watching your video content for days, so glad your straight up and font go all round the houses to explain
you did a GREAT JOB with the placement of your camera thank you so much for letting us see everything so well !
Huge fan, love your content. It’s been so helpful over the years
Love the video mate! Very helpful and you are super talented! Thanks for sharing!
Im practicing to be an artist and I’ve had a tattoo gun for a while that I’ve been practicing with and I recently ordered a tattoo pen. I’m going to practice with it then tattoo myself when I’m ready. I definitely don’t want my first real person to be someone else so this video is helpful, thank you!
Tattoo machine
@@jamalhijazi I literally cane here to say that.🤣
thank you for such an informative video! i noticed that i happen to have the same machine as you, i was wondering if you could share the voltages you had the machine set to for each step of this process? i attempted my first tattoo on myself since getting this machine recently and i had to double line the whole thing because the end result was a bit scratchy.
I’m getting into tattooing after my parents told me to try it since I like to draw so I bought a kit for practice on fake skin, wish me luck and I’ll be referring to your vids for when I need guidance
Just started learning only 2weeks I'm on paper n pencil,it's really Helpful to see and I'm excited for the day when I'll try on my skin
Dude. That simple design is solid.
I tattooed a little executioner on my thigh last night and I am really happy with it. I packed color good and had clean shading and line work. It didn’t hurt that bad most of the time but there were times when I was screaming on the inside. I also feel like it has helped me a lot with understanding what different things feel like. Not the smartest decision as a 14 year old but it is definitely going to help me in the future.
Where did you get your ink
where'd you get your stuff from

@@honeymunch1273 I got a lot of it off Amazon other than I got eternal ink and my cartridges off somewhere else I forget
Your video was really helpful! Tattooed myself last night after practicing on the fake skin for months and I’m glad I put in all the work I did because I felt confident and it came out great! The first line took me a few tries to get the line in deep enough but after that it was fine. I wasn’t nervous at all but when I struggled with that first line I did get a bit shaky haha. I didn’t anticipate that so watching your video was a good heads up that that was normal. The pain was like my other tattoos honestly it was fine and after a few lines it was actually helpful to know I was getting the lines in to the same depth… it was sitting in the weird position to get to my ankle that was the worst ha. Thanks again! :)
Hi! I've been researching tatooing and found this. Some good tips you gave.
What I retained it;
Sterilize, Start small. Take your time, expect pain. Stop/Start/Take breaks. You're not in a rush when you're learning.
I used to draw alot back in college even more or less minoring in art drawing I had so much fun with the class and recently started back at it with my 3 kids.
I got a machine myself recently as another outlet for my creativity, I have a ton of fake skin to use up and have fun with
I came across your videos actually while watching a gaming video but I’m glad I did, they’re very informative etc incase I ever do decide to a few months down the road to try and tattoo myself
Thanks
Awesome demo homie! Helps a lot 💜🔥💜🔥💜
Honestly this video is very inspiring and motivating!
Great video love the sound of the machine 👍👍
Just started tattooing myself about a month ago and now I can’t stop
Funny he said don’t do your fingers first and that’s exactly what I did, but I think I did really really good without any practice on fake skin. Watching your videos definitely definitely helps a lot you definitely hit ever important information on all your videos
Thank you for all the advice. Just started and am not to the point I’d do it on myself yet. But feel like I’d be more ready now when I am.
✍️🔥 Looks really good!! Your lines work is awesome! What machine is this? It did some nice work!! Also because it is wireless as the battery starts to go down wouldn’t the machine needle stop hitting as hard as it did fully charged??
Tons of information with some good energy first video i clicked, everything i was looking for! Thank you
Glad it was helpful man!
bro thank you so much for all of your help, your videos are awesome and very informational ! i subscribed to your channel \m/
Always encouraging👏👏
Great tattoo also. The shading was awesome. I just bought my machine product. About to start this tattoo journey with your videos
Awesome you're definitely one of the best out there your work is so smooth and clean
Thank you so much 😀
Did my first tattoo on my left forearm. Slightly difficult on the side but I’m fairly happy with it! I’ve been challenging myself and this tattoo is mainly linework with minor shading. I found a way to position my arm while also stretching it with the hand I was tattooing with. Again mildly challenging and uncomfortable, but overall happy with the result. This channel has been my go to on my tattooing journey and can say that I’ve learned a lot!
Love this video. Great advice. I definitely started the hard way. First one I did on myself was on my inside wrist. Lol. Then did thighs and more my forearm, and my ring finger. That was the hardest. You learn some ingenuity to be able to tattoo your own arms and hands.
With needle gun?
yea man , you're my dude for this, big ups Bra. love from New zealand
Loved the "Ouch" :) thanks so much for your tutorials
Great vid mate, loads of good info👍😉,can you tell me what voltage your machine is running at please?..cheers Wayne.
Genuinely gotta give this guy more credit for what he do
Awesome channel:) What I find interesting about tattooing myself (been doing it for +10 years) was that it hardly hurts anything at all! I get so focused so I kind of just channel out the pain... But I do shake, especially when tattooing harder to reach areas! (Though the side of the ribs are quite the pain when I think about it haha)
Just finished filling in my 5th self done tattoo, granted 3 were pick and poke and the other 2 were done with a coil machine I was not comfortable with. Got my atomus pen and finger ledge cartridges, cleaned up the outline some and filled in thanks to your videos it went alot better, found out the hard way that cheap skins don't translate well
which model and specs do you have of the Atomus? how’s it been working? i’m looking for an upgraded pen for my real skin after i practice on fake skins w the Wormhole i got from amazon yesterday (may 5)
Its Sauron's finger chopped off with ring and everything, I loved it, It turned out great
Beautiful piece
My wife and I have purchased all of the items and equipment that we need to tattoo each other and your video has made us feel more comfortable now. We need to get some more info on the speed of our gun and then we'll be tattooing each other! Thanks man, you are awesome!
Nice job on giving yourself the tattoo. I'm a huge Lord of the Ring fan.
Great job, well done. I have full tattooed leg sleeves made by myself. It looks awesome
You made it look super easy
This content is very helpful for me because i want to learn tattooing.
Planning on doing some black out work on some of my old tattoos. Any recommendations for needles or patterns or anything like that to get a smooth consistency?
Great work. You made it look very easy. Top tips.
Glad you liked it!
tattoos are such a damn cool thing.
What a great vid, refreshing to hear I'm not the only one who shakes while tattooing myself, when it first happened I tried to press through it and the lines were jagged as hell but now I know to pause and wait till it stops 👍😁👍💉
what kind of stuff do you use what is on your glove what ointment
it looks great. much better form the first one
I am a big fan, i want to start tattooing and about to buy all my stuff. I am looking up all your content and its helping me a lot to understand everything. Big thank you! I dont have any problem with pain when getting a tattoo but i think it hurts more doing it yourself because you know the pain is comming and inflicting it yourself. Pls keep putting up this great content for the noobies among us
Thanks man !!
Nice tattoo man!!
Wise words being spoken
honestly i needed to hear the advice of starting with traditional simple pieces, i think already being an artist has low key sabotaged my experience tattooing in thinking i can blindly transfer skills no problems leading me to start to doubt if this is even the path for me.
on i go to start from the start jajaja thanks un monton
thank you!
Excellent quality 👌 👏 👍 🙌 😎 😀 👌 👏 👍 loving watching this xxxxxx
That Sauron is sick!
I started on my knee and I must say it was a good spot for me to start
Hands down best tattooing 101 video out there. Very helpful thanks. If only you could mention what needles you used
They where kwadren needles
That's fun to watch!
Niiiice, that turned put really well.
thanks bro, Im in the Artist accelarator course, was working but quit to do this course and start making money! I love art have been drawing my whole life, was already tattooing before 2015 , when my best friend died it hard to tattoo without thinking of my bro so I quit for awhile, but know my friend wouldnt want me to quit because he died! so I gotta forfill my dream of being a professional tattoo artist! so I thank you for your program give me the confidents to go pro, so thank you!
Love the dedication man. If there’s anything I can do to help feel free to reach out to either myself or Nathan in the FB group :)
Good advice and all, but as for myself, I started on myself with no practice ever, and now my whole body is covered except for my right arm. The progress is obvious, but they turned out pretty decent.
I had to tattoo myself after getting a portrait tattoo. Tattoo artist really messed up the nose and had to fix the mouth. I stretched the arm with a clamp used for lamps...minus the lamp. I didn't put any lotion for a few days on that area. That part came off really easy with some slight scarring. Nothing too noticeable unless you look close. Was not perfect but very happy with the results.
I just tattooed myself a couple weeks ago, waiting on it to heal a bit more to go back in and do more. Wish I had this video first. Didn’t come out as bad as I thought it would though.
Just tattooed my upper knee last night, I had to blast some metal and bite a tongue depressor but it was a success! This’ll definitely teach you to be more gentle with you clientes 😅
Love ur vids .. u good man
What size liner if i may ask?
Really good sharp lines which looks great. :)
What did you use for lubricant (idk if that’s what it is) while tattooing? Would A&D or just regular Vaseline work the same?
thanks dude
I pracited on my forearm and then progressed to a full sleeve, a throat piece, half leg sleeve and now im practicing tattooing with my other hand. Surprisingly, the lines are coming out crisp even though I dont have much practice with my other arm
Looks awesome! Gonna keep practicing before I get here!!
You got this!
Depth was what i was wondering. Im definitely following through with this. Luckily im a decent artist so i have that going for me at least.
I love the lord of the rings theme. Super dope
Did a couple practice pieces on fake skin then I did one on my thigh, started out small like you said and eventually covered my shin and the side of my calf with a couple of good size pieces and now few years later I have one leg almost covered and a couple of tatts on my other leg I need to add too🤣🤣
Love the leg bro ❤
Very helpful thank you vm
Thank for making this video, I just ordered a kit from Amaxon, and this is helpful !
Well how’d it go???
Damn bro, you did that thing in 15 mins. You work fast!
All I can say is I love your videos. I am considering getting myself into tattooing and your videos really help to clarify things. ❤ I would though have a question. Do you consider it wrong if a begginer "drives" machine on the skin first starting and not floating like you do? Keep up with the good work, you are awesome! 😊
What is the ointment you use on your glove to put on tattoo? Awesome video also it's actually second time watching it 😎👍
What gel are you wiping over the tattoo during the session?
I really appreciate you mentioning the shakiness; I have a very steady hand unless I am tattooing myself😭
which needle did you use for the lines? and which did you use for the shading?
Did you use Same volt for lining and Shading?
I started with lettering and doing negative shading on myself now I do grey wash and free hand on myself
Simple but very clean little tattoo! I enjoy tattooing myself. I've done several large tattoos on my left arm. Slowly filling it into a sleeve. Plan on doing a large skull on my shin tonight if I can get away from work early enough.
Were you able to get around to it?
Wow, tattoo looks great! Whipped it right out too, noice! o7
