Brandon your info is amazing, cause of learning so much in these videos I started your classes thru Tattooing 101 and I can't believe what a difference going thru tattooing 101 has given me, hands down if Anyone is wanting detailed training this is the place to go, best info and people around. Thank you Brandon, you and Nathan are super informative and can't tell you how greatful I am to y'all
Just getting into learning the art of tattooing, I love your videos you explain everything so well and have so much content to help beginners get started. Your videos are very helpful for someone who doesn't have the time or money at the moment to give up their job and strictly focus on a tattooing apprenticeship. I look forward to more videos and watching my skill develop after applying everything I've learned.
Thanks for another great tutorial video! I really love the idea of using the nautical star to prove that you can do lines. Can you show how to correct or reshape a line that wasn’t as perfect as it should have been. 🙏 poppy
Hoping you can answer this. Obviously with flashes or stencils done. You can differentiate the needle thickness, you'd need. Can you do a video on regarding what type of needles, like do we use a 7rl or a 9rl; regarding line work. Like how to pick and choose the needles for the type of work.🤙🏼🤙🏼
Started to think WTF is wrong with my hands that after few months I can pull clean lines yet!? This vid just made a 360 turn around by stating to pull your arms in and brace to sides….holy hell, TY 😊
As always great tips n tricks man.im sure everyone thanks you but I personally wanna say thank you cause even though I already have been through a apprenticeship and have been tattooing for awhile it's nice to learn new tricks when it comes to tattooing.even at conventions if a artist offers a class or work group I normally take them.and yeah there expensive sometimes but sometimes there notand you always learn something and they always give you something from there companyor brand.last one I got a hard life rotary and wireless battery "which I hated btw" but just the knowledge you learn is worth it to me.so thanks for sharing your tips and tricks.and as always keep these videos comen man
One thing that always stuck with me is my first mentor told me the day you think you know everything with tattooing is the day you quit. So it’s great you are always willing to grow or learn
Hello, Brandon. Actually it would be nice to have a video of how to set your body in order to get those perfect lines and also where to put your arm when you are working with an actual client in order to get that required stability.
Any tips on how you maintain that angle when using smaller liners such as 7’s or 9’s? It’s something I have to constantly remind myself as I’m tattooing on the fake skin.
Hi Brandon, I'm into the practice skin mode and I'm doing ok ( for someone teaching themselves through your videos) but I'm struggling with smudged ink as I'm cleaning the piece, what's your advice for this please? X
What do u thing about cheyenne hawk pen ? I really want is coz i seen so many good reviews but still its so much money for someone who just started but im ready to take step ahead for better machine and i wanna invest money for something good.
I workout so my shoulders flare out and if I try to tuck my elbows to my sides dosent even come close to making contact and I'm flexing so hard it's shaky. Would it be cool to place like a neck donut around my side so when I tuck my elbows they actually would make contact with something for stability?
Great video again can you please help me with a problem I have on how to fix a bad line people sa their are different ways of doing this what in your opinion is the correct way that you
Could you maybe do a video on a cheaper needle so we can see if we are struggling with the skills or just a lack of equipment quality? I personally have a cheap wormhole tattoo machine.
you’re definitely not to old to start! I’ve been tattooed by someone who’s 53 before, age doesn’t define skill! I just started my self, I’m in the same boat as you, I can’t draw a stick man but I can trace one lol, it’s been going pretty good for me I highly recommend giving it a go!
We're of similar age and I just got my first machine and pulled lines today. I don't have expectations of being a great artist, but know I can become good at applying them and so can you.
Love your videos. I always struggle with bigger Liners like 7 or 9RL. Lines are not bold and saturated, I have to go over twice sometimes and I‘m scared of hitting too deep. What am I doing wrong?
Running your machine too slow with faster hand speed... Turn the machine up a little and slow down.. the more needles the more your angles have to be adjusted also... Could be a depth problem too.. hard to say without seeing it.. ik it's an old comment and I'm sure you figured it out by now lol
Thanks for the video! I’m having trouble getting white to go in. It doesn’t seem to matter what I do or what white I use, or how shallow/deep I go, when I wipe it away, there’s nothing there, or I get pink upon healing
How do you prevent a huge clump of ink when doin your lines? Because every time I tend to do a lie a huge clump always happens whenever i dip the tip into the ink and start doing lines
I’m taking tattoo courses and finished 3rd lesson. My biggest problem is shaky lines of course. In the studio I use a spare machine but at home I don’t have a tattoo machine. What is the best practice at home without a machine to improve my finger muscles and lineworks?
I did a tattoo today after 1 months with out doing one cuz my surgery but this happen to me my neddle feel like it got stuck on the skin happen like 2 times and not sure why i clean it with water just in case was a piece o paper towel or something and i change the neddle just in case but it happen 1 more time Any idea what its was
I'm a bit confused. You tuck your arm into your body for stability.. But the other artist on this channel talks about rotating his whole arm to get the lines and curves he needs. I don't know what to think now!
This all depends on your tattooing journey if you have first started or if you have been tattooing for years also some areas on big tattoos you won’t have a choice. I just wanted to show both ways so in any situation you will be ready

Thank you so much I watched your video and it helped improve my lining skills

I just started my apprenticeship and this was a huge help. Thank you!
Thank you so much for making these videos! Just bought a tattoo gun and can't wait to get the practice in.
Could you do videos on linework when doing different areas of the body? Like knuckles, elbows or any other areas that can present challenges?
thank you for these videos! greetings from Lima, Peru
Brandon you're a BLESSING, i never miss a video, so much love from italy dude 💚🤍❤
Thank you!
Great short videos that are easy ro understand and apply.
Thank you for these videos
Thank you for this video 🙌
Your videos are of great help sir. Thx.
Watched your videos and my tattooing increased exponentially thank you for uploading these
Love you bro your helping me out alot
Really helpful video I'm trying to do with my left hand as I'm left-handed do you have any pointers.
This has been so helpful. I’m very new to tattooing but watching your videos has been a great help to my growth so thank you

Hello, Brandon. Actually it would be nice to have a video of how to set your body in order to get those perfect lines and also where to put your arm when you are working with an actual client in order to get that required stability.
Have you found with running your finger against the cartridge it puts pressure on it and may possibly make the cartridge pop out of the machine?
I greatly appreciate you.
Great as always!!!
It's amazing that no cartridge manufacturer has developed a finger stabilizer that would make line making much easier.
Any tips on how you maintain that angle when using smaller liners such as 7’s or 9’s? It’s something I have to constantly remind myself as I’m tattooing on the fake skin.

I’m a huge fan you helped me so much. In my journey thank you!
I’m glad I’m able to help!
Great tips as always !
I love this guy👍🏿👍🏿👍🏿👍🏿👍🏿👍🏿👍🏿
Thank you dude a lottt
Honestly, I wouldn't know what to do if it wasn't for this channel
I try! I’m glad it’s able to help

Of course it would help dude. Any improvement with your shoulders'pain?

Do left handers need to change anything in the process?
Could you maybe do a video on a cheaper needle so we can see if we are struggling with the skills or just a lack of equipment quality? I personally have a cheap wormhole tattoo machine.
Tattooing with cheap equipment increases the difficulty
Hello. How do you move the machine? Wrist or pull elbow?
I'm 41 years old. I love art and tattoos. I'm i too old to be a tattoo artist. Keep in mind i can't draw i can trace.
you’re definitely not to old to start! I’ve been tattooed by someone who’s 53 before, age doesn’t define skill! I just started my self, I’m in the same boat as you, I can’t draw a stick man but I can trace one lol, it’s been going pretty good for me I highly recommend giving it a go!
Bro your talking like you're 100, you are only too old when you're dead.
Bro same and as long as you can trace good stuff that’s an artis, and pm follow the lines
Can you do the same video but using a 3rl
We're of similar age and I just got my first machine and pulled lines today. I don't have expectations of being a great artist, but know I can become good at applying them and so can you.
Please do a good video on beedle depth
We have a video out on needle depth on our channel!
Love your videos. I always struggle with bigger Liners like 7 or 9RL. Lines are not bold and saturated, I have to go over twice sometimes and I‘m scared of hitting too deep. What am I doing wrong?

Hi. What angle are you holding your machine at?
Is it 45 Or 90
Can i ask what volt speed is best for lining with the same machine got one yesterday and its a little alien at the moment only using 5rl though
How many time you pass the line one or two ?
Thanks for the video! I’m having trouble getting white to go in. It doesn’t seem to matter what I do or what white I use, or how shallow/deep I go, when I wipe it away, there’s nothing there, or I get pink upon healing
Do you have any videos on how you make and transfer your stencils to fake skin ?
Pushing vs pulling lines would you say depends on the comfort level of the person or the design of the tattoo?
Hello..when the needle is in the fake skin i feel slightly kickback..this means that i am too deep?
How do you prevent a huge clump of ink when doin your lines? Because every time I tend to do a lie a huge clump always happens whenever i dip the tip into the ink and start doing lines
We made a video on this, 🙂 you can check it out here: ua-cam.com/video/AHF723mSNSY/v-deo.html
yo. what is your machine set up please
I’m taking tattoo courses and finished 3rd lesson. My biggest problem is shaky lines of course. In the studio I use a spare machine but at home I don’t have a tattoo machine. What is the best practice at home without a machine to improve my finger muscles and lineworks?
I used to wrap a d battery around a pencil to add weight
iv been having issues with ink splattering over the place does that mean my voltage is too high or too much ink??
I did a tattoo today after 1 months with out doing one cuz my surgery but this happen to me my neddle feel like it got stuck on the skin happen like 2 times and not sure why i clean it with water just in case was a piece o paper towel or something and i change the neddle just in case but it happen 1 more time
Any idea what its was
Your voltage might be too low
Vaseline vs. Inkeze during tattoo..
do pen tattoo machine become hotter? i just recently bought machine from china, i think ive used it for 40mins and it becomes hot
They shouldn’t that’s an issue with the motor
@@Tattooing101 thank you for your response, the machine vibrate so much that it affect my line work
What brand fake skins do you use?
DOS THIS WORK FOR LIKE AN DRAWING ARTIST
I'm a bit confused. You tuck your arm into your body for stability.. But the other artist on this channel talks about rotating his whole arm to get the lines and curves he needs. I don't know what to think now!

Is there anything that works as good as vaseline for fake skin, but less greasy?
You can use ink eez glide, or mainly, use less Vaseline. Apply very thin layer, it will clog the needle. Same with stencil stuff, very thin layer.
Just to see your hand angle
hye.. r u the guys who always sent a mail to me??
My hand is shaking when i start to line work this is my big problem bro
your machine nano inkjecta ?
Where did you get your fake skins from?
I'm using Reel Skin here
