It still amazes me that even though I’ve been tattooing for over 15 years, I can still learn stuff from others. Great videos my man.
Thanks for the awesome comment!
I have questions does this make you a good living because I’m trying to
Start up on tattooing but I want it to benefit me in the long run

@@alonetillicanfunctionramsr7392 you can make over 100,000$ a year if you stay busy
@@alonetillicanfunctionramsr7392 tattooing is a very good paying job you just have to be good at it. lots and lots and even more practice.
I always knew how to draw but never tattooed. Which is why I’m here. Staying down till I come up
Big facts. Me too! Just waiting on my Amazon orders atp.
Just bought the dragonhawk atom. Never tattooed. Just draw. So easy being a pen machine
Facts... I’m a pmu artist wanting to move into tats...
💯💯💯
same here
My "go to" needles are 5,7,9RL for thin, standard and thick lines 3RL for tiny details 7,11CM shading and color packing large areas and 9,13RS for shading and colour packing tight corners
Sounds like a decent selection for every job.
Thanks Bro! Now i got my reference
tysmmm
What gauge?
@@ZEFFENWULF I just use standard 12 guage I don't tend to use bugpins
Fantastic work man I watched your videos for 2 hours and the second day my tattooing just changed..clean one pass lines..knew how to tune it right..hit the right depth at first try..treasure for beginner who wants to start tattooing on the next level please keep going!! More on needles and tehnique for packing shading etc!! Big thanks
Alex Alex thanks for the awesome comment! I’m glad it’s helped you out. Got loads of videos coming soon.
I was a tattoo artist for 10 years but in 2012 I went back to school and got into software engineering, still doing a tattoo here and there on family or friends.
I need some extra cash after a recent divorce so part time firing the machine back up,
My kit is old and needles now expired so am re-upping my stock and found all sorts of terminology I hadn't heard before, plus wanted to see what guys are doing nowadays.
Not as much has changed as I thought but still I learned quite a bit here.
Great video man thank you!
I love the tip use the needles as a paint brush cause when I first started all I had was 3RLs and I wanted to do a thicker lines and started from the start using 9RS for line work so thank you for reinforcing that you can use different needles for different things and by the way great videos
I'm apprenticing right now and I can honestly say I learned a shit ton of information from this video (and actually retained it)! Thank you so, so much!!!
not only is your explaining on point for someone who is a beginner but the effort in this video to make sure we understand is a breath of fresh air, thank you so much!!!!
Thanks for the awesome feedback!
This was a lot of help I’m glad there are videos on UA-cam to help beginners who are learning how to tattoos understand the basics
Love this video it actually let me know that I'm doing the right thing but it seems like I understand this video only because of my experience in tattooing off and on love the way you broke down the needle groups and how you compared them to paint brushes boy I made a bunch of mistakes using the wrong needles at times but now I know I'm ready
This is the only video on this topic that matters. Honestly, nobody else explained it like this.
I been looking up videos for a few hours and you just covered what I needed to know in one video 🙏🏽

I self taught tattooist learned from practicing on my self never really seen videos like this never been in a studio. Although on little quiz at the end was glad to know your selection of needles were very similar to my style minus the script where I would have used 03, 07 and the 09 rl mainly just because that is what worked for me over the years awesome man video was dope.
I took a long break from tatto when went back to graduate software development which was career change but since graduation and find jobs are not as available as was once made out I returning to my tattooing because I was good at my tattooing and really just wanted a career change. Tho with that not working out and being left looking for work for so long now I have ultimately decided that I should have just continued my tattooing passion perhaps I should just went and done an art degree lol.
you are awesome. thank you for the video, really well done!

Brilliant! You made everything so easy to understand. Thank you! I have a question that I can't find an answer to anywhere. I have just bought a charmant premium tattoo pen machine that uses cartridges. They have the usual 1rl, 3rl, etc, but there's also a 1d blunt needle cartridge and I'd like to know what those sized cartridges are used for.
