Trivium has amazing lyrics. Like their way of words and vocabulary is just out of this world
Matt was 16-18 when this entire album was written, and that to me is the most amazing part.
I like how Matt uses more complex wording in his lyric writing. It makes the lyrics sound more more intelligently written that what you hear from many other bands.

sadly not many guys playing thrash know the difference... no offense, i just recently started caring for the musicality of songs and i mean the cords, the intervals, the different feeling two very similar sound may create. and God, music is sooo many things....
***** So wait, the chorus is still in minor even if it starts with a major chord? What about "Into the Mouth of Hell We March" chorus? It follows a similar pattern chord-wise and yet doesn't sound sad.

Sol trivium roughly translates to "to teach/inform/enlighten " from Latin or so I've heard somewhere. So trivium teaching people long words and complicated themes goes hand in hand with their names. Especially for those younger teens that first heard this in 04/05 era

I remember receiving this album in 8th grade from a friend of mine. While I didn't enjoy the album fully, there were a lot of great ideas introduced in their songs. I usually find that a lot of their songs are hit and miss to me in the sense that I like parts of them and never the full length. This is one of the few that I enjoy from start to finish

this song got me through a troubling time in my life being truly conflicted with my country in 2020 during riots and all Mathew just shared this song with his mood on everything and till this day i cant stop the tears when i hear it i love this song and this band for the rest of my life thank you trivium.

Vomi toni I just got their new album the other day, I listened through it twice and I'm at a loss to recall any of the songs. But it's in my car so it will get plenty more plays, In Waves also took some time to warm up to, so I'm sure I'll warm up to Vengeance Falls in time.

I rolled my Xterra to this song flying down I-17 in Arizona in 2008. I was going about 95 mph. I was high off Xanax and alcohol. The childhood friends including my girlfriend at the time I went camping with left me a alone in the dark in the woods because I was that uncontrollable. I remember coming out of it a little and finding my keys that I had lost on the forest floor somehow. Drove off like an idiot!!!
Over time, the more stuff Matt pumps out, the more I appreciate his oldies... No disrespect in any regard... it just goes to show how talented the guy is.. I still believe Ember to Inferno to be the best album Trivium has in terms of its originality (with the title song being my favorite)... this song has very strong ETI roots...always a blessing to return to!
Saw the bros last April in Ft Wayne and just got pit tix to see them again May 26th in Indianapolis. Can't fucking wait! Great musician's and awesome show!

Ricky Gonzalez, Matt blew his voice. So he started doing clean vocals and on the new album "Sin and the Sentence" he does clean screams and growling with proper techniques, to ensure he doesn't blow his voice again. But, the old stuff is definitely great. A few awesome songs from "Silence In the Snow", In Waves and Vengeance Falls".
Anything before Travis left = Masterpiece.
