@@classylady1947 A messy bun hat is something I desperately need in my life too! I don’t have hair quite as long but it’s super thick and curly and drives me nuts 🤣 so I will have to make a messy bun hat tutorial in the future!
My fav headband pattern - love crocheting by the short width rather than the long length - just seems to work up faster and more fun to watch grow. Thanks!
I love how you get right into the tutorial. Unlike others who feel the need to tell the story how this was handed down from great grandma during her covered wagon days. While papa was making moonshine. Nah.. just the pattern please
I have been looking for a headband pattern for my husband. This one looks perfect. I think I will make it a little bit wider - maybe a starting chain of 15 ? Your tutorials are great. I really like that you add the written pattern, line by line as you are demonstrating the stitch. This is very helpful in learning to read patterns. Thank you, Liz B
Such a lovely tutorial! Easy to follow and my headband came out so cute! A bit smaller but it was a game of yarn chicken 😂❤. thank you! I will be coming back for more!
Haha, you're so sweet and cute. I love your intro. I haven't even watched the video yet and had to tell you that. I have just started watching you today and I want to thank you for actually teaching crochet, putting all that time and effort in and making everything I have seen so far understandable. You are the only one I have seen yet that when you say for beginners really is. Thanks a million you're awesome!! 🤝☺️😎😽
Heehee, I'm glad you like the intro. I almost didn't add it to the videos because I felt like such a goof 😂 You're so welcome! Thank you so much for your kind words ❤️ I love that I'm able to share my passion with the world!
I love this pattern. Thank you for a great tutorial. I am definitely doing something wrong near the end. 😢. How many stitches should I have in each row please. Hoping this will help
How would you use this stitch to make a hat?? Love the texture of it. Would you just follow your working in the round but use this stitch pattern ?? Thank you from England ♥️
Hmmm good question. You should be able to make one by making a large rectangles and sewing the sides together to create a cylinder shape and then cinching the top together. You can follow this tutorial but instead of using the stitch in that video, use the crunch stitch in this one and follow the rest of the steps! ua-cam.com/video/cQXqyiev7CE/v-deo.html
Thank you, easy and beautiful all at once.Sharing what an experienced yarner told me:a Link/Loop is individual little round unit yarn makes; the Chain--Foundation or other is total of all links/loops.Not interchangeable. 3LFH=3rd Loop From(the)Hook.Hope this helps :)
Hello! Was curious why in the video description it says a free crochet headband pattern, yet it’s a part of a paid bundle. I thought it was free, this being the reason I started this pattern to begin with. I now have a couple of projects in the works with this pattern, and I’m stuck on figuring out my edges (where the stitch goes, in the loose second chain loop at the end of each row) the video I feel didn’t go over that enough for a beginner) and am at a loss without written instructions/gauge. Please help. TY
You can find the free written pattern here: www.sigonimacaroni.com/easy-crochet-ear-warmer-headband/ Also, if you need more of an explanation for the crunch stitch I have another tutorial here and it’s the last stitch I go over in the video. ua-cam.com/video/K1LO9SgkeoE/v-deo.html
Okay question. I’ve never crochet in my life but i sew a lot if clothes and i’m good with my hands. Moral of the story. I just want a headband but can’t find in store what i want 😂 do you think it’ll be possible to make this as a first piece?
It sounds like you’re missing the last stitch. It can be hard to see. Try this tutorial and see if it helps. I believe the crunch stitch is the last stitch I show in this video ua-cam.com/video/K1LO9SgkeoE/v-deo.html
When you tell us what you need, you do not include how much yarn we need. Preferably by weight. Can you weigh this headband so we know how much yarn we need?
It depends on the hook size and your tension but the headband is about 3 inches thick. You can chain until you're about 3 inches across or you can make the headband thicker if you want.
Do you prefer making/wearing hats or headbands? ❄️
Headbands are rather convenient, but not for heavy winters.
@@cuisinepalette Very true. I live in Florida so there’s no such thing as a heavy winter here 😆
I have almost waist long hair and a wicked bad cow lick on the crown of my head so I like messy bun hats. I do love the Headband your making though. 💜

I never made a headband but I'm about to do this one, and I don't really wear hats.

Ungrateful much😢
1:40 compassion sometimes we may learn more than just crochting
Yet all you needed to say was thank you lol lol

Having difficulty determining which stitch is a slip stitch and which is a half double after I turn the work and chain 2. New crocheter, lol.

I actually got it all figured out by watching your video in slow motion! I apologize for the comment. Thank you so much and Happy Holidays!

I like it
I would like a count of each row,. I am making and I have 12 stitches across . Is that correct?
On the first main chain how many. Stitches for a women
👌👌
why am i not keeping the shape omg when I get to the end something happens.

Too hard for men🙈

I love your enthusiasm!! What if I want to use a bulky number 5 yarn, what hook and chain count should I do?
It depends on the hook size and your tension but the headband is about 3 inches thick. You can chain until you're about 3 inches across or you can make the headband thicker if you want.
