In my opinion, Tom Morello definitely spawned some of the most insanely heavy riffs that are also fairly straightforward. I am always up for more RATM! Awesome work!

Hey Marty, I don't think I have ever written a YT comment before, and you are deserving of my first one. I used to play electric when I was in middle school, FF to adulthood playing acoustic in my Marine Corps Barracks room with my buddies, learning various riffs/songs/techniques from you all the way in Okinawa, Japan. FF to now, just turned 29, treated myself to a brand new electric guitar for my birthday, sparking/re-igniting my passion for playing the guitar. Hey Marty, so I bought a Stratocaster kit that I’m currently building and I have no idea how to set up the intonation and make sure that the guitar is playing correctly. I’m sure there are plenty of other videos out there, but I really like your style of teaching and explanation. I was wondering if you could make a video explaining the process if you haven’t already. I bet there are many other people that would enjoy it as well.

Excellent lesson as always man. Love this song and I love that you taught it with emphasis on the muting and groove; it's a pretty straightforward riff but it's great that you're using it as an example for that percussive right hand strumming. Super cool.

With Tom its al about the rhythm and the phrasing i love how he develops the riff using syncopation (hate to use those nerdy kind of words but thats what he is doing)
