I’m sorry, but I just LOVE that they had a DJ do toms solo after that man replicated DJs with his guitar, not to mention how tight this band is
25 year production sound mixer for motion pictures here...your sound crew does a phenomenal job every single time. Not a live music guy, so no idea what mics are being used and/or how much of the instrument mix is taken straight into the desk. I'm guessing the vocals and drums have to be mic'd. If so, I'm impressed that there is so little overlap with the environment (e.g. pool equipment) and other instruments.
I'd be very surprised if this is recorded out by the pool, more like in a studio and synced by the pool
@@DDay9000 - watched it again, and the way Corey Frye is whipping the mic around would surely cause noise, so seems like you are probably right about the vocals at least. If the DJ and the drummer are playing in sync to playback, it might be one of the most impressive things I've ever seen.
@@DDay9000 I don't think it is synced though. Look at the DJ's solo for example. Unless he recreates all the little flaws to fit the sound?

You don't have to play jazz music too loud. Its magic is felt more when the volume is not too high.

Tom Morello was heavily inspired by DJs and their techniques which inspired him to create many solos we know today from RATM. And here it is coming full circle.
Guitarist tries to sound like a DJ ending in a DJ trying to sound like the guitarist.
Thats what I was thinking. Morello sounds better scratching on a guitar than a Dj sounds scratching on a turntable! LOL

There's a song on the Spawn soundtrack by The Prodigy feat Tom Morello where he makes his guitar sound like a Roland TB-303 bass synthesizer. One of my favorite Prodigy tunes.

One of the best and most important lyrics ever written in modern times. I got chills guys! Another great cover, and an important message that needs to be brought up again and again until the wealthy elite no longer oppress us through the rampant spread of misinformation.
You have to include the rest - "while arms warehouses fill as quick as the cells, rally round the family, pocketfull of shells" makes it even more powerful (to me at least)

In the last year, I've seen and heard three incredible renditions of RATM's Bulls by bands I discovered on UA-cam (Brass Against, and Denzel Curry if anyone is interested) but this...ooph like hearing Funkadelic on Soul Train play a proto RATM song before RATM existed. Magic.
Can we please, pretty please, have a Soundgarden cover? Corey's voice would be incredible for anything from early SG but if I may, I suggest 'Fourth of July' or 'Jesus Christ Pose'.

I'd most like to hear one of Soundgarden's less over-played tunes like Fourth of July. But anything by them would be cool too. All of their songs are great, I just very prefer something that's not been played to death, while other great tunes are ignored.
@@aylbdrmadison1051 Completely with you on your Soundgarden cover take. I too prefer one of the lesser known tracks. 4th of July or even Beyond the Wheel from Ultramega OK. Both require pipes and Corey has those in droves.

Yeah I'm not sure how I feel about the tables being on there at all. I mean, it's badass, sounds sweet, but rage made such a point about all the sounds being made with drums, guitar, vocals, and bass...great cover. Badass, but...I woulda liked to hear what the guitarist woulda done for that solo

I saw this in my feed, and being familiar with how the singer sounds, I must admit, I entered a bit skeptical. No disrespect to him, but RAtM is an anger driven band, specially Zack, and the singer usually sounds like an angelical blessing of joy, not anger. But, Damn, my boy killed it. The word rage has never sounded so beautifully powerful. He even sounds like De la Rocha in a way. Props, finding you guys is truly a gift that keeps on giving.
