I have a surf green Schecter Super Shredder Strat and I play Death, Venom, Slayer covers on it. I get the same reaction from people and from my band when I first got it.

The ""Jimi Hendrix" riff is as you played it but using artificial harmonics, giving that clean chiming sound. To do this, follow the chord shape but halfway up the neck of each string, just touching the string with your right index finger and picking just behind it.. takes some practice but you'll know you've got it when you hear it.

I have a (beginner) question for the intro part. You only play the ADG strings right? Do you mute the other strings with your frethand? Or do you just practice to play those three strings on 1 strum?

Exceptionally excellent cover! I have a Spark practice amp, bit of a novice on electric guitar. What overdrive effect specifically is Morello using? I can’t quite seem to get it like you did in this video. Your distortion is spot on to how Morello sounds!
