THANK YOU! I cling to every word of knowledge u speak and am SO grateful u share that priceless knowledge. My husband got dm at age 11. He is now 62 and doing well. BUT his mother may have been low on virta d and i think she has been and is still. she is still alive.

I wish unscripted Dr Childs would come back. Hard to watch you read a script when your so smart, well spoken and filled with info.

Interesting. When i found out i had thyroid cancer my vitamin D3 level was critically low. Now my D level is tested every 6 months. My tumor markers remain .1. In October it will be 10yrs i have stage 3 metastatic thyroid cancer.

Thanks, Doc. Seriously. I wish more Drs were as knowledgeable about all this as u!!!
Always watch every video of yours before any other notification. I have Hashimoto's and R.A. - a real struggle. But I soak in as much medical information as I can and YOU are right there at the top of the list!!
    Thank u! ❤️

I had to take 20,000 ius a day plus magnesium and k2 to get my levels up to a good reading. I got my readings in the UK from medicheck. My gp won’t do it.

Vit d is tightly connected to potassium, am i correct? Could anyone actually tell if cream of tartar could be used to supplement potassium?

Guess what? Went to get my labs done and Medicare will NOT pay for a vitamin D test . I could pay for it myself at the cost of $350. Now wonder why they won’t? ( that is sarcasm). We know why. You might get healthy and not need their prescriptions

Exactly, they want to keep you on the medication they prescribed and will get mad when u don't want to take them.

You can purchase your own lab test if it's affordable. Some are even mail order. Just google best foods for vitamin D. Try just eating more foods with vitamin D.

You can probably take 1000 IU or 2000 IU with no problem.
There is more information online about benefits and side-effects. I would suggest looking at hospital or university type websites, as they're not selling you the products.

Vit D is great but if this is being introduced in to body via a pill please make sure you are adding more Magnesium. If you are D deficient and take D without magnesium you end up both D deficient and mag deficiency… even worse!!

Ha I’m on the highest dose secondary parathyroidism and I’m not slim, thyroid doesn’t help, however what I did notice when I was younger, I would get fatter in the winter, when the summer came the weight would drop up and I attributed that to vit D from the sun

How do you compensate for extreme vitamin D deficiency if you are allergic to it? (Triple verified and I am allergic to the sun as well...very itchy rashes.)
