RAPIDLY Increase Your Vitamin D (The Best Method)
Вставка
- Опубліковано 30 лип 2024
- Not having enough vitamin D increases your risk of developing unwanted symptoms like depression, fatigue, and muscle weakness but it also increases your risk of developing more serious consequences like diabetes, weight gain, and cancer.
For these reasons, you should take your vitamin D level very seriously.
But the question is: how can you rapidly increase your vitamin D to prevent these issues?
I'm glad you asked because you have 3 options that work VERY well:
Method #1. is the sunlight method. This method is by far the most natural and the one that you should aim for if at all possible. It works by harnessing the power of the sun which helps to convert and activate vitamin D in the skin and body. Watch the video to make sure you are using the correctly!
Method #2. is the supplement method. Because not everyone will be able to get all of the necessary vitamin D that they need from the sun, we have to talk about supplements. If you are using supplements then you'll want to make sure to use vitamin D3 instead of D2 at a dose of around 1,000 to 5,000 IUs each day.
Method #3. is the combination method. The combination method takes advantage of the sun, supplements, and natural sources of vitamin D from food. Realistically, this is the method that most of us will use because it's not always practical to get our vitamin D from any singular source.
Because vitamin D more closely resembles a hormone as opposed to a vitamin, increasing your vitamin D has the potential to help many different systems in your body.
Take your vitamin D level seriously and get tested if you haven't recently, especially if you are trying to improve your overall health.

D3 (10,000 IU, cholecalciferol or calcifediol)
K2 MK-7 (100mg+)
Magnesium
Vitamin A (cod liver oil, 100% DV)
+Sunlight
+Fatty meal (keto)
Preach! We are not taught enough about vitamins. I work nights and I don't get enough sunlight so I take vitamins and especially D3k2! Life changer! Thanks
That's because doctors are only taught the basics about vitamins.
I like the first part of the video regarding how to optimize sun exposure for vitamin D supplementation!!!!!Thank you Dr. Childs ❤
Finally a doctor who knows what he is talking about. Hen e the importance of k2 and that vitamin d is fat soluble. Thank you
Your videos are improving. Great content!
Great information as always and thanks for making it simple 😊
Hi Dr.Childs. Are you planning on doing more Q & A type videos soon? Those are great, with lots of good information people can't get anywhere else. Not even our own doctors. I got so many questions, doc. 🤔 I'm sure others do, too. Thanks!
Excellent roundup of relevant Vitamin D information. Solid science, easy to understand. So necessary to surround D with its buddies: magnesium, K2, vitamin A. I toss in a once a week boron and strontium pill to top off the program.
Excellent video Dr. Westion. You are so ON POINT!!!
Very clearly presented, thanks
Informative content! Thanks dr. Childs
awesome vid friend. ty!!
Great vid. Thank you
The sunlight method 😂😅👍
I thought it was just my skin getting dry bc change of seasons.
It was just very low vitamin D
I’m taking 50,000 once a week now.
@Dr Childs, could you please comment on using cream of tartar in water to supplement the intake of potassium?
Doctor is great with information. 😊
Hi, Dr, this is an excellent video. I am currently planning hiw to supplement my vitamin D leves, and your video is quiet timely and spot on.
I come from a hot climate and whenever l travel to Europe for studies, l lose that vitamin D and suffer from all sort of upset tummy, and feeling of extreme cold etc. I later realised whenever l vist home for like two weeks all these symptoms vanish. Niw am back to Europe and want to start taking vitamin D but the liquid version not the capsule. Any tips? Thanks
I take vitamin D3 with K2 in a coconut oil capsule.
About 7 years ago, I got extremely ill from vitamin D defficiency. I couldn't work, I couldn't sleep, had no energy, no muscle strength, and was like a total zombie. It was horrific! I am so grateful I finally figured it out. Since I have to cover up when in the sun, I pretty much depend upon my supplement intake.
why do you have to cover up?
How long did it take you to get back to work once you started supplementing?… I’ve been out of work since June and Doctors just figured out two weeks ago my Vitamin D was 26, I moved from a sunny place last year… The fatigue and depression had me thinking it was the end for months, I just wanna get back to the person I was before all of this!
@@danijackson8296how are you feeling now?
My vot D level is low, I will follow what you said supplement with vitamins also with the sun.
what about using a full spectrum lamp? I've read that they can help people fight off winter depression, so I wonder if they can help in areas where the sunlight is not strong.
Thanks ❤
Thank you very much this vedio inspire me moer❤❤
Thank you Dr Childs can you recommend a good vitamin A and dose please ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Thanks for this Dr. Childs. As always great info. Just one thing, at the end when you recommend another video I'm not seeing a link to another video pop up on the screen. Just thought I'd mention it in case it's an error. Maybe it's just me.
It's not there yet, I haven't published it yet but it's already been created. It should be released sometime this week!
My grandmother used to make us eat cod liver oil. (She knew we had vitamin D issues way back then.)
Thanks Dr. Childs for the great video. I wish you was my Dr. My doctor not that great at all
Great info and presentation, thanks doc!
How much K2 should I take with 2,000 units of D3?
I was told by my doctor to stop taking vitamin D with vitamin K because of my blood pressure. I had my blood drawn for vitamin D and it came back normal. I'm trying to figure out why I still have all the symptoms of Vitamin D deficiency?
OK, I am going to make sure the Sun is in the right position... If it's not, I'll reposition it. 😊
No, no... You don't need to reposition it. You just need to go out a bit earlier or later😉🌞...
What would a low Vitamin D 25 Hydroxyl level? How ab 29.5?
I've been outside rendering wall in brutaly hot sunshine this week, thats one way i guess
Is D3 in powder or oil better?
I get sun and take cod liver oil it's high in D and A
@Dr.WestinChilds - Are the supplements that you suggest all-natural herbal supplements?
d3 is in the form of cholecalciferol which isnt necessarily herbal, but the source doesnt really matter. k2, the mk7 version is the best kind. there are also a couple kinds of magnesium which are the best as well but i forgot what they are. whole food sources are usually the best for k2, mag and vit a
What brand
What about vitamin d for kids? Can young kids take D3K2?
What time is the sun highest
Sun needs to be in an 42° angle for enough UVB rays to get through for vitamin D.
There are sites in the internet where you can check for your location.
In Germany right now in August you are good from roughl 12:00 to 15:30 o clock.
With its peak at 13:37 right now.
What about skin Cancer I can't be out in the sun. Because I burn then supplements constipate me.
Where's the link to the video about ignoring vitamin d
What if you can’t absorb k2?
I NEED HELP WITH MY THINNING HAIR
10000 ius minimum is generally the info i came across. this is how much i take and i feel terrific
How much do you weight a and how tall are you
Blood test before & after vitamins. Toxic levels are painful.
How do you explain a full body sunburn on a cloudy day fishing in the creek covered in trees!?
UVA rays are not blocked by clouds and they can damage the skin and result in a sunburn.
2:51 so does it mean darker skin people need to spend longer the sun? Does the 10 to 20 minute sun exposure with 40% skin still apply to darker skin people?
no. you need more
@@farealwitit7947 thanks. it is sad the so called doctor didn’t mention that in his video. Lol
@@Ded-Ede yea. he kindve insinuated it without elaborating. i know if this from other studies. god bless friend
@@Ded-Edewhy? Because you’re more important?
My vitamin D has been low but when I have tried supplements, it causes a jittery/anxious feeling. Any ideas why? 🤔
Try using vitamin d without soy.
Do some people have a genetic issue absorbing vit d supplements? They never work for me. And I get a ton of sun, but my vit d is still low
My daughter has same issue. Takes a lot of meds for 4 types arthritis. Takes 20k Vit D a week RX kind & still way below normal level. Lab every 3 months.
how much do you take? do you take k2 mk7? magnesium? and if so, what kind? vit a?
@@dianaherring8594 make sure shes taking the other supplements as well. increase the dosage as well as needed
@@dianaherring8594the RX D is usually D2, not recommended. Also, brand matters. I took Doctors Best for several years and didn’t get anywhere. Switched to VivaNaturals and in 6 months myD was up to 80. I took 10k iu with K2 as MK-4/7 and 400 mgs magnesium glycinate.
What is the vitaminD range please
what do you mean
8:13 Why do so many creators forget to link the mentioned video when they point to it on the screen? Now I have to go find it. Good info tho.
its in the end of the actual video.

Hello Doctor..I suffer from anxiety and tension when I face a problem. My body trembles, my heartbeat increases, and I feel difficult to speak. . I tried beta-blockers and my condition improved a lot..but I suffer from bronchiectasis and phlegm, which negatively affected my health..Are there nutritional supplements or herbs that work like beta-blockers?
Hi, Kareem. Many people benefit from taking a good form of magnesium or electrolytes that include magnesium to calm anxiety and nervous symptoms.
@@ross-smithfamily6317 thank you
@@kareemahmed7028 did you suffer some kind of trauma?
@@farealwitit7947 no
@@kareemahmed7028 when did this anxiety and tension start?
So.. skin cancer or vitamin....to choice
Taking 5,000IU - 10,000IU per day is perfectly safe for an otherwise healthy individual. Vitamin D toxicity is not like toxicity of other fat soluble vitamins. The vitamin D isn't toxic, but in a very small minority of people may cause elevated blood calcium.
What about the elderly? Age 70 and up? Since as we age we lose the ability to covert UV rays from the sun? Just supplement d3 instead?
I am 71 and take vitamin D3 with K2 in a coconut oil capsule, which I buy online. The daily does that works for me is 5000 IU. Just get a good quality supplement.
Since I have had skin cancer and have to cover up, live at a high altitude, and no way would be caught wirh 40% of my body exposed, I rely upon daily supplementation. My vit D levels have been checked, and they are fine for me.
My Vit D is always low. The very bottom of the healthy range. My magnesium is fine, though.
try boron 3 mg a day
How did you test your magnesium?
@@srisungazesplash1340 I had a blood draw for it
I always get a lot of sun but my level does not exceed 30.
I would go for D3 to get it up to 100 .
@@selyemperzsa1 i agree. at least 80 ng/ml
Is Magnesium from a banana enough? I need to test probably 😊
I think no to much sugar
No,you need 350mg per day
I am surprised how we survived at all. Name at least 1 person able to follow all or at least most important doctors' advice. If ppl were able to follow all doctor's advice - nobody would be sick. Ever. Sorry for the animals. Who gives them advice?
Yes take it 🤣🤣🤣
Yow, the most important vitamin is vitamin C, isn't it? And remember, vitamins do not accumulate in the body, they are washed away every day and have to be supplied again and again. Excessive amount of fat soluble vitamins may be fatal.
Vitamin d is not actually a vitamin, it's a hormone
I worry about skin cancer
lol it most likely wont come from the sun
Under the sunshine
Oral supplements should be the third option. The second option is to use artificial UVB light.
lol if you can’t tone it tan it
My doctor has me on 50,000UT. 1.25MG
I have a severe deficiency in D3 even through I spend 30 mins in the sun at noon… 😭😭😭
Do you leave in England?
Then throw in a MTHFR Gene mutation. HA.
D3 supplement makes me sick. I'm so frustrated.
Try a different brand without soybean.
Earth is proven a level motionless plane.. not a spinning flying globe of magic bendy bodies of always level water.. lol..
A woman can't wear shorts?? Why are you distinguishing between men and women? And you certainly can get UV exposure without being in the middle of the day when the UV rays are worst during the summer no less. With a lower angle of the sun, you actually get more surface area exposure.
I take 20k a day
I empathise with ur poverty
RIP
You won't know how much you need until you get blood work done
To much..... a high is 10k....
@j1stp2nd36 you could tell all that without blood work smh
careful w/vit D...too much and ur hair will start falling out !!!!!!!
What dosage or levels could lead to hairfall?
lol never heard of this
