@@marcnocon It's actually left to fan interpretation. Many fans actually connect Mufasa to the original. Scar actually calls Mufasa his "big brother" making it seem like they are biologically related, however in the 1994 original, that contradiction doesn't exist.
You forgot to mention another interesting detail: how Taka's voice, when he officially becomes Scar with his scarred eye, changes from the high-pitched, innocent tone to a deep, harsh and evil tone that is very much the voice of Chiwetel Ejiofor's portrayal in the 2019 film. As if showing that Taka is no longer the loving brother he once was, but officially the evil, treacherous brother he is now known as.
Taka is really complex character. He always avoided conflicts and lurked from shadows. We see it in the movies. Shame Mufasa is afraid of water. Mufasa really becomes capable king when he gets out of water. I never watched it,maybe I will. But it's great. Great analysis
Fun fact: Mufasa is afraid of water, but Simba loves water. Also, where water is used for Mufasa, fire seems to be recurring for Simba. The Pridelands catch on fire while he fights Scar. But then, he almost loses Kiara to a fire during her first hunt. So, I feel Simba may be afraid of fire.
I also noticed that the lake in the final battle between Mufasa and Kiros may be the same lake in the lion guard's lair. I haven't seen anyone else mention this, but when I watched for the first time, it immediately made me thought of that.
I don’t realize what simba was talking about when the movie started but I watched a second time the I realized that nala just didn’t got missing for no reason
I was really looking forward to this origin story of the iconic Lion brothers, but ended up being so let down! Mainly because it barely even felt accurate to what the original film had already established as Mufasa and Taka were biologically related. And even these new songs didn't stick with me....
I mean Barry wanted to create a stand alone original story that was separate from the original animation. Funny enough it answered a lot of questions for the majority of viewers judging by its reviews and success with a lot of people watching it more than once just to fine tooth comb the details. It’s not nearly as profoundly impactful as the animated masterpiece but it does pretty good on its own. It surprised me and it seems a lot of other people too. To that, it was never explicitly stated that they were biological brothers. Rob Minkoff, Don Hahn and even some of the films animators if I remember correctly have talked about this and then suddenly back tracked in order to avoid chaos and pandemonium amongst the fan base which literally was the case back in 2017. Besides the statement “I’m afraid I’m at the shallow end of the gene pool” there isn’t much else to go on. If you watch or follow the Bancroft brothers or Aaron Blaise and other animators who worked on the film, they’ve talked about it at Light Box Expo, Annecy and other cons/events as fans often ask about the 6 new adventures books and if they are indeed canon. Which they aren’t, the books were commissioned and a group of European writers given free rein to create a collection of books for sale as promotional merch particularly in Europe, then later on America. But they were never canon and no official Disney site or representative has stated they are “blood brothers” at all.
In Disney's "The Lion Guard", Scar's fiery spirit tells Ushari the story of how He got his scar when he was Leader of the Lion Guard but here in "Mufasa the Lion King" he gets his scar by being paw-smacked by Kiros. (Also I noticed that an Outsider in Kiros's pride has the mark of the Lion guard on her rear end) Does this show that Scar sometime in the movie was a Lion guard leader? I'm confused bro
What did you think of 'Mufasa'?
Didnt see it yet
Looper:
Mufasa the lion king has no influence on the original 1994
I thought it was a really good film
Looper
1994 Lion King ≠ 2019 Lion King

Maybe that’s how the Lion Guard lair formed and what if Kiros’s dead body is in that lake there
The whole story and character arc of this film was something I theorized over the years, and it's nice to know I was right.
Did anyone else notice how taka talks normally, then when he joins the outsiders he turns to the classic sounding Jeremy Irons 94 voice.
i noticed that transformation..powerful
I love the things I learn from these videos. I love the film Mufasa and plan to get it on DVD.
you can’t say it’s impossible for mufasa to use his senses in water when that’s literally how he killed kiros
I watched it 2 times actually it was soooo good
I think the cave Rafiki, Kiara, Timon and Pumbaa were in Scar's old cave. If I'm wrong, remember that I said " think "
Maybe that is the cave where Mufasa and Taka defeated Kiros. Scar's cave was smaller and didn't have that glowing water hole
my ranking of Mufasa songs:
1. Milele
2. I always wanted a brother
3. Ngomso
4. Tell me its you
5. brother betrayed
6. We go together
7. Bye bye
All new lions (Kiros, Masego, Afia, Obasi, Eshe and the white lionesses)were only included for this film
I don’t realize what simba was talking about when the movie started but I watched a second time the I realized that nala just didn’t got missing for no reason
Notable mention; Scar had the gift of "the roar of the elders" according to Disney's "the lion guard" series.
This film is official not in the 1994 canon
lion king has many different timelines tbh
Explain how.

Remake takes place in a different universe like MARVEL or DC films.
For example Spider-Man

When did the original establish that? It's the remake that says that Mufasa is his "big brother".
@@DeTinyDog no, the original made it clear as Scar said "big brother"
It’s a prequel, not a retelling of Simba’s story.

1:47 the cave probably Disney junior lion guard cave
we can also see when kiros said to his lioness to kill azibo, a lion guard mark.
Can't believe they didn't do the lion king 2 story
they might in the future
Thew smalld details you missed... the entire movie.
I missed all the details becuase I didn't go see it! 😂 Dumb movie for dumb people.
how do you know it dumb if you have not seen it
@jimbo9208 I don't need to be in a car crash to k own it will be bad and that I won't like it.
Why the hell comment then? That's dumb
@@EarthsGeomancer okay but why are you even here in the first place
@@jimbo9208 same question
God this movie was garbage
Then why you're here
"Kiara's cave" is the same cave at the end where Mufasa and Taka fought Kiros. you can see the proximity to Rafiki's tree and the groundwater
