That's what I always worry about when they do an origin story. They'll ONLY make the villain sympathetic and make the "presumed hero" the bad guy. There's a difference between explaining the origins and giving something a different perspective and completely changing EVERYTHING. I'm glad they actually went the way did with this one. Didn't LOVE The movie but glad they told a realistic story (aside from them being adoptive brothers).
@annien.1727 so are they or not blood brother's I remember hearing they thought in the 1994 to make them not related to add suspense it's so confusing then they decided to have them brother's
Not really. The land, pride held by Taka(Scars) lineage was already lost to Siros. Scars didn't win over that particular pride or land which he was entitled too. He didn't defend it. The pride that Mufasa won over is "Mele". It's a new land
Plus Mufasa could still be related to the great kings by his own Biological parents. They could be decedents while Scar still came from royalty but his ancestors could be lions who belive in the tradition lion behavior ( males leaving hunting to the females, killing cubs not sired by pride leader) Scar’s father not wanting to change his life style doomed his pride.
Looper, please think twice before considering the recent CG movies as "canon" to The Lion King. They made Mufasa and Scar not actual brothers, when clearly the intent of the original film is that Scar's betrayal is so much worse because he is a blood relative of Simba and Mufasa. It takes after King Claudius in Hamlet, or Prospero and Antonio in The Tempest. Making Taka/Scar the rightful heir to his family's kingdom is a sick attempt at trying to justify Scar's murder of Mufasa and Simba to take back the throne. There is nothing that this new film does that enriches what was already well presented in the original.
True, I would add though that Scar even in the 94 film and A Tale of Two Brothers had a justified claim to the throne eg. child neglect, the promise he made to himself, and also his dark fur which should have caused attraction and made the pride want him as king
The original movie never stated that they were blood brothers. They never gave an in depth explanation of their past which is why they were able to create what they did with the origin story.
It's not about justifying the murder. It's one simply to let us know how they came together and how Mufasa became king. Yes it also explain why scar had an issue with Mufasa but not justify anything

Taka/Scar had no business using cubs for his plans, because we're rationalizing all of it, then it cannot go without some reasoning too that he was factually in the wrong here. It was both prequel to the Animated original Lion King/Simba's pride. They also include Kiara and spoiler alert Kion from a kids series. Felt bad for Scar he need justice. Truly heir King
Mufasa: The Lion King is the prequel to the 2019 The Lion King remake, while Simba's Pride and The Lion Guard are set in the universe of the original 1994 The Lion King, evidenced by how the Pride Lands were ruled by generations of lions before Mufasa while in the Mufasa 2024 movie, Mufasa founded the Pride Lands
I'm interested to see if they make a third movie just because of the ending. We all know it's Kion who was born, but I wonder if they are gonna build off that. I can't imagine they'd bring the lion guard in on the live action train 😂 I'd love to also see if Zira would play a roll in a third movie and if we'd get to see Kovu 🥰
I am of the opinion that they should stop the remakes and do new stuff more. Although, i admit that see Dwayne Johnson do a Maui cosplay will probably be very funny.

Btw, i watched the 1994 version recently and believe the way Scar acts in that is completely different from 2019 hence i think both the stories are different. 2019 has a different prequel story and 1994 had a different prequel story. In 2019 one, scar says "I wouldn't dream of challenging you... Again." In 1994, I don't remember him saying again. And another major dialogue which i forgot was different in 1994 and 2019 I prefer 2019 and I haven't watched the 2024 prequel yet but I will soon next weekend.

But Mufasa didn’t give Taka a chance. Second chance. Mufasa abandoned brotherhood in one betrayal made by Taka. But in the end, Taka corrected that wrong doing by protecting Mufasa. And he got his Scar. Taka deserves to acknowledge and deserves to be a King. Mufasa is so unfair. He was saved by Taka 4 times. That’s equivalent of 4 times of chances in wildlife. But in one incident, he judged Taka and made him the bad Lion in the team. Taka’s spirit and positivity as a cub helps and uplift Mufasa in his difficult times. And yet, in the end. No thank you, no acknowledgement was given to Taka and he was left alone. I really felt bad for Taka. In reality, it does exist in humanity. That we never realize those people who help us in difficult times. Only one and few person will understand and help you.. But these people will easily abandon like a trash. Taka. Towards the end of the film, simba has a new cub; Kiaras brother.
lmao I know right. Zira was just trying to restore the rightful king
Yea scar had a legitimate grip, and when you look at it from his POV it doesn’t look so wild does it…..
Oh you meant the Disney live remakes should've just said so then I would've known I don't care to watch this video the OG is only canon for me
Mufasa had Observation Haki like in One Piece series.
Imagine Mufasa Isekai fanfiction.
@@VoiceAudioWork24in this film, they literally copied ‘a tale of 2 brothers’ and changed it up in the opposite way
I'm interested to see if they make a third movie just because of the ending. We all know it's Kion who was born, but I wonder if they are gonna build off that. I can't imagine they'd bring the lion guard in on the live action train 😂 I'd love to also see if Zira would play a roll in a third movie and if we'd get to see Kovu 🥰
Y'all are so slow this isn't a prequel to the original movie
@mrzgaming9437 not really? The story of a tale of two brothers is way different than the story shown in the Mufasa movie
I am of the opinion that they should stop the remakes and do new stuff more. Although, i admit that see Dwayne Johnson do a Maui cosplay will probably be very funny.
Absolutely! I wholeheartedly agree! And Disney WILL do new stuff more! And that new stuff will be provided by yours truly!
Once I become an official Disney screenwriter, I'm going to make name amazing, brilliant and awe-inspiring movies that you and everyone else will love! That's a promise!
MTLK completely made the great kings of the past scene from the original LK movie obsolete at the end of MTLK Mufasa becomes the first king of the Pride Lands which means there are no great kings of the past
This story doesn't make sense to me, I don't remember Scar mentioning he should have been king over Mufasa at all in the original movie and he didn't mention Mufasa was adopted.
He didn’t want a brother, he wanted a brothaaaaaa!
Well this is ideally realistic.
Can you discuss more in depth the “Love triangle” The Lion King 2019 and Mufasa The long did. PLZZZZZ
So question. Does anyone else hear “brother” right before Mufasa says it, right before he’s killed?
In the first movie.. when scar misses simba thing..
They talk and it cleary implies they are blood brothers
One got the strength other got the smarts
@@JarellLavender89 idk if this was a direct reply to me or not, but I meant u can actually hear a faint voice say “brother” right before Mufasa says “brother“ before Scar kills him.
What I preferred was Mufasa and Scar being biological brothers. I’m so tired of Disney changing things in the name of nothingness!!!
In the animated movie I believe Zazu went to go get Mufasa when the hyenas put Zazu in a hot pot and blast him in the air and he took that escape opportunity to go get him that’s why the camera showed him get blasted all the way in the sky
This is Lion King version of the story of Moses. Wit some slight minor differences
Mufasa is a prequel to the 2019 film and has no bearing on the 1994 film.
In the Lion King Animation, King Ahadi is the father of Mufasa and Taka (Scar) but in this film, King Obasi is their father? I don't get it 😅😅
The new movie is canon trash set in it's own universe 😂
@@SupportGamin2025 the new movie isn't even bad. You all complaining are just people who can't accept that the 2D times are over. The Mufasa movie did a great job with showing us their origin story of the live action lore/universe
@@noxgirl_gaming yeah ur right
Masego is mufasa's father.
I agree the new movie- Mufasa has its flaws and retcons but it is far better than what Disney has been doing recently for the other franchises!
It’s a step in the right direction and we must support it toget more original movies rather than shitty remakes!
Wrong direction. There was no need for this film. Now original and continuity is all whack
I've loved this new direction. This prequel is much better than TLK: Simba's Pride.
My heart really feels for Taka 😢
Two Different Lion King Movies
Ok no one asked and if you don't like don't watch or bother people who actually like the movie 🤬🖕
i saw the trailer for this, and once i saw that mufasa was a stray and that scar was supposed to be king, i was turned offf. the ORIGINAL is the one and ONLY best movie period. and it very much implied that they were real brothers for 1, and 2, that murfasa was the natural glood line of his ancestors. this idea completely destroys everything
Exactly, that's why I will not support this bullshit "prequel"
@@dirtyjswiss thank you. it literally makes no sense. i don't nkow why they went this route . like WTF
@@dirtyjswiss and btw, i was so confused, becasue when i initially saw the trailer i had thought scar was the stray, and never knew hiw name was taka, i thought maybe mufasa's dad was taka. but then i got home and watched it a few more times and read it and realized wlel you get it
@Johnadams20760 I kno. I'm just looking at it like in what world can you have a lion king where mufasa and scar aren't actually brothers and on top of that mufasa's not even the one with royal lineage. It really bothers me more than it should🤣🤣 when I first saw the trailer I was like surely they can't actually be doing this. But lo and behold...
@@dirtyjswiss welll yes. altough i guess is hould not be surprised. we have seen way too many shows/movies be ruined by BS like this, different ways but you get the eidea
Scar also saved mufasa from drowning. He saved him twice
How did Mufasa know to find Simba and Nala at the elephant graveyard? Wouldn't it make sense if Zazu flew back and lead Mufasa to the graveyard to rescue Simba and Nala? They even showed that on Lion King 1 1/2
This is dumb. Scar is a sociopath, you don’t become a sociopath without a really messed up backstory that teaches you not to feel. His story isn’t dark enough
where does everybody say that they are blood brothers. Nobody and nowhere does it state that they are blood brothers.
The new movie’s plot holes are too severe for it to be in the original’s continuity.
It actually answered a few questions tho
@Dahumbler89 it can't answer questions because it's a different story. They are biological brothers in the Lion King. Scar says so when he mentions Mufasa got the Lions share of strength from the gene pool while he got the brains...
@@TheKChandooExactly! This is why the retcon in this prequel make no sense
@@nmemassiveit’s not a retcon it’s just a separate story. This movie and the 2019 lion king are seperate from the animated movies and lion guard
He always wanted a bradaaaaa....
Scar is my favorite in movie
Kulak 0:07 0:07 0:07 0:07 0:08 0:08 0:08 0:08 0:08 0:09 0:09 0:09
Sad story overall
Just leave this trash out of the briliant original animated movie...
Scar killing Mufasa is less impactful now 🙄 way to go Disney...
How?? Yasl forget Mufasa was the animals king , taka wasn't worthy in the new land or the new😂
I feel like it is, though, because it shows how far he has come to become a villain. Instead of helping Mufasa, he left him for dead.
No it didn’t because this new movie doesn’t tie into the original movies only to the 2019 one. In the original movies they are blood brothers as stated by the lion guard
I would actually say the opposite
Nice fanfiction.
It's good in concepts and too rushy with poor rhythm.
Sounds like pure bs created by Disney. Og Lion king is the way to go animated version
I feel really proud of myself that before seeing this video, I made the connection between Mufasa's super abilities and the way he appeared to save Simba & Nala from the hyenas
If scar got to clap sarabi the story wouldn't have happened bruh
I dont like it that scar isnt mufasas real brother
Would've love to see Mufasa and Scar as a duo but we got this 🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮
So no one found it funny that the villain was a white lion? (Kimba the white lion)
Great! Now the kitchen is on fire!
I'm just waiting for Disney to make a pointless Clayton back story where he was blackmailed by some mafia to get him something smuggled gorillas from Africa and that he did it because of the evio rich men..... 😑😑😑😑
I can’t believe people are actually eatting this bs up. Stop connecting this garbage with the original. They both have completely different visions for the Lion King Canon.
Mandela effect be like
King one last
@bluemansonic Deleting your comment as an attempt to hide the fact that you were acting like a crybaby, doesn't change anything
Wack adopted brothers bs!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The first movie contradicts this whole movie!!!!!!
Its clearly said that mufasa gets the braun
And scar got the smarts!!!!
Meaning there blood brothers not step brothers!!!!
Stop trying to MESS UP THE CLASSIC BECUASE YALL CANT TOUCH IT!!!!
Your mom touched it
Not every movie needs a cinematic universe...... waste of money. Im happy this movie tanked at the box office, do better disney
😠HEY! Disney WILL do better! Just you watch! My friends and I are going to create amazing stories that will become top-notch Disney cinematic masterpieces once we've changed Disney for the better! That's a genuine promise!
Its because Scar is black😢
I'm a fan of the 2019 version more than 1994 because of SRK dubbing in Hindi and i prefer live action animation more than 1994. Btw, i watched the 1994 version recently and believe the way Scar acts in that is completely different from 2019 hence i think both the stories are different. 2019 has a different prequel story and 1994 had a different prequel story.
In 2019 one, scar says "I wouldn't dream of challenging you... Again."
In 1994, I don't remember him saying again.
And another major dialogue which i forgot was different in 1994 and 2019
I prefer 2019 and I haven't watched the 2024 prequel yet but I will soon next weekend.
LET'S BE HONEST, "THE LION KING" ANIMATED TRILOGY WAS AN ABSOLUTE CINEMA, BUT THE LIVE-ACTION FILM ADAPTATION INCLUDING THE LIVE-ACTION PREQUEL WAS AN ABSOLUTE ASS! LMFAO! 🦁👑🎞️🎬🎥👌🤣
Simbas pride was goodish thrid one was ok/bad. Only masterpiece is the original
AGREED
Got that right. Nothing ever beats the original. The live-action adaptation pales in comparison to the animated version.
Mufasa will eat Sonic's and Shadow the Hedgehog's dust. Sonic 4 has already announced.
Usually they announce a sequel a few days after the movies release
No one asked
Wrong
No one asked
Pretty much
But Mufasa didn’t give Taka a chance.
Taka. The Lion King who never was. But the Genuine one.
