You are never going to be able to tell any appreciable difference driving for a 1/2 mile at 30 mph. I've driven both back to back extensively. The hybrid definitely delivers more additional grunt when you first step into it, but they feel pretty much the same when the turbos kick in. The hybrid in this case is simply a power -adder. Not intended for fuel economy.
Hybrids are excellent… for city and mall crawlers. Pick up trucks and people who spend more time on highways get almost no benefit going hybrid, let alone electric.
@@JoseDiaz-qw7mgfalse. Maybe if you live in a flat world. I'm an owner of the hybrid and hands down for power, driving, and even saving fuel the hybrid is better. I live 6k elevation in the country. To get to the city, I use a highway and freeway. About 30 mins for each. The city is about 4500 in elevation. To get to the city there and back, the road starts at 6k, dips down to 5500, goes back up to just over 6k for the pass. Down rolling downhill terrain to the city. Have to make the climb back. Average mpg 21. The hybrid system is active all the time. Through the small town I pass through at 45 mph, runs on electric. Down hills, recharge and electric. Flat ground, hybrid uses the battery charge to supplement fuel consumption until it drops to a certain charge. Also try towing in the mountains, you are going to want the extra torque.
@JoseDiaz-qw7mg the hybrid adds more torque so it makes the truck better for towing which is the entire point. I get folks think hybrid is only for efficiency but they do so much more
I force would be my choice. No way the benefits you get from the max are worth 4k more. Slightly better power and maybe 1-2 mpg better. The extra weight of the hybrid system also offsets some of the power gains.
Absolutely love the Iforce Max in my Tundra 1794. Faster than most cars. The Iforce Max is significantly faster the the Iforce. I test drove these trucks for a while. Instant torque in the Iforce Max. I just traded in my 6.2 V8 Denali Sierra so even compared to that
It "rumbles" because they have them programmed to make the rumble noise through the speakers as you accelerate lol. They make programmers to turn that off.
1340 - 1380... thats it... What the hell. 🤨🤮So I have to get the rear wheel drive model for the 1900? So with the crappy turning radius + mediocre payload means I really do not want one(although in your video you go around that round-a-bout reasonably well so maybe I am worried about nothing.) I think I am wanting a cargo van? But damnit, I want the bed of the truck? Thanks for showing the payload + towing.
99% it’s due to emissions regulations voted on by the Americans. That’s why most of the vehicles elsewhere can still have diesels put in them. Y’all gotta save the planet.
Both drop engines at same rate. My 2023 Tundra dropped the engine at 17,000 miles and it took 2 months to get a new one. Traded it on a 2024 4runner with the proven v6. You can keep those crappy 3.5 turbo Tundra engines.
trying to hybridize trucks feels like having a bad dream.. but its real.... we need Naturally Aspirated V8's. not turbo 4's or twin turbo 6's with hybrids. fuck this
Tundra I force max is the fastest truck on the road besides the ram TRX and raptor are erased. Every truck in my Pro was the only two trucks that can beat the pro
This was a total waste of time he went 1 mile at low spped and wants to talk about torque. has no idea what hes talking about with what gauges are representing. Lastly he like the rumble its fake noise in the spekaers. trying towing something. Good gravy. lol read the forums everyone complaing about turbo lag which the iforce max elimated that issue.
Possibly the worst video ive watched for any comparison. You hit I think a max of 43mph but mainly drove about 30 for a mile in each vehicle in a busy neighborhood. What difference were you hoping to see? Not feeling a difference in the max when you accelerated up to 12mph in the parking lot was very detailed as well.
Mountain man or democrat hippie? You need a hair cut. Sorry I shouldn’t have said that. Great video I have the iforce max 1794 TRD off road lunar rock and love it. Great power and at idle I’m never wasting fuel.

I’m a proud mall crawler. bed is used for groceries
I fill my truck up every two to 3 weeks. It’s definitely a gas saver. Compared to any other vehicles I’ve had that would be once a week. Hybrid owner.
Bro ur doin 10 mph w the max and saying you don’t feel a difference 😂. Come on man
"Good Gravy" 😂 Haven't heard that since the early 90's!
I force would be my choice. No way the benefits you get from the max are worth 4k more. Slightly better power and maybe 1-2 mpg better. The extra weight of the hybrid system also offsets some of the power gains.
Spoken like someone who doesn't understand the hybrid system in the truck.
@@JIPlatium he’s right
I think that if you keep the max for four to five years, you recoup the cost of gasoline
How much heavier was the V8? Did it all come out in the wash for the most part considering curb weight?
The max gives you the power when you need it. You get power that would generally kill gas mileage, but instead you get a slight advantage in mpg.
It's a shame you cannot get a TRD Pro and the other top trims in the non-hybrid. Lots of people would want that.
Dam, the snow covered mountains in the background is crazy.
Put the pedal on the floor on both and you will notice a difference bud. Kinda drove it like a grandma.

I always hate when car makers toss a hybrid battery in a car and you get no MPG benefits.
Insane cars Ben !! ❤❤
I’m assuming no turbo lag for the hybrid? We have some turbo lag for the Lexus LX600.
Zero. Instant torque
Hybrid 100% worth it!
You know when that bad boy took off you had to hold on.
I just got a hybrid I force max , Toyota has it for 1 months now working on it, some airbag problem and haven’t had no updates yet
Yeah, aren’t they augmenting the engine sounds??

What Mode were you driving in? I noticed a BIG difference in SPORT mode vs. Econo or Standard on my Limited Edition 1794 Edition iForceMax.
I got the Iforce so it’s only power by turbo and gas?
I have had both trucks and I get 20% better fuel economy with the hybrid (15.x vs 18.x mpg)
Iforce will be my choice. Both have the same features and power. Both can tow. Except Max has more extra power. Especially for towing.
Redo that massive front grille and lose the Telluride taillights and I might be sold.
Why?;tons of people love the looks. If you don't, go buy American.
Ben ,you’re hearing the Piped In Sound.😂 Can’t beat the 5.7 V8😬
How bout just put a V8 in a vehicle that needs a V8? Quit changing everything to make things more expensive, complicated & more likely to break down.
99% it’s due to emissions regulations voted on by the Americans. That’s why most of the vehicles elsewhere can still have diesels put in them. Y’all gotta save the planet.
I’ll take a I6 over a V8 anyday. Me personally I was never a fan of V8
V6 Tundra? Are you stranded? Need a tow? Let me know, I got a V8 SR5 TSS Offroad.

Every day a video about trucks. Great. 👍🏻. But; can you, please, invest in a non shaking camera if you video daily??

No

“Biting at the chomp”?!? It’s “Chomping at the bit”. As the bit is the piece of the bridle that goes in a horse’s mouth.

I force
V6 rumble???? 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Max has no auto stop start! Iforce does have auto stop start!
Wait really?!
Incorrect. Not sure where you got that
I would not want the hybrid!
The ford f 150 hybrid gets better mileage in town than Toyota
yep and the F-150 tows less.
No

15 lol vow i get 18 with mine all day
iforce max will help increase turbo engine life.
Also make the starter 10x times longer!
@@8387xindEasier to replace a starter than a turbo. Nice try, though.

Iforce max is a headache

wow the front end of that truck is ugly. Kevin Hunter has 'overstylized' on the brain.
