  • @GethinJames
    @GethinJames 6 років тому

    Thanks for the guide. That bolt does not need to be ground down BTW. It's recommended you upgrade the radiator also. No headers? Clutch? Exhaust? Cat? Why not cut holes in the plastic shroud for the inner-cooler pipes vs removing them?

    • @BalladeSports
      @BalladeSports  6 років тому +2

      MrFunk the bolt being ground down is for easier installation when using a bigger 30mm belt versus the 20mm. The customer didn’t want any more additional parts like Header, clutch, etc. we are simply showing the install not comparing what other want to set up. I don’t understand your last question about holes vs removing them.

  • @zanahale
    @zanahale 2 роки тому

    Hey Alex, I hope you can answer a question for me. I have an 05 s2000 with the c38-92 kit. I've had it for over a year and a half with no problems. Now I have a need to remove timing chain cover as a washer fell inside of it while working on my timing gears recently. Tried pulling oil pan off but I still cant see it from bottom. Considering that Kraftwerks has a crank pulley with its own bolt that secures on to factory pully, how different would it be to remove the bolt? I know the socket required is 21mm....I wont be able to use Honda's crank pully removal tool to help hold the crank still. Any suggestions on how this is best done? Any specific tools? I read up I can just use a breaker bar, 21 mm socket with car in 6th gear and a foot pushed down on brakes. Not sure if there is a easier/better way....Thanks for any information you can provide!

    Why does this car look like the one at LHT getting rebuilt

    • @BalladeSports
      @BalladeSports  4 роки тому +1

      rawbasic rawbasic it’s not at all. There are many Laguna Blue S2ks our there. It doesn’t mean you’re seeing the same car just because UA-cam has it on another video. In fact the customer sold this car we built and the SC kit was sold removed and sold. We know this because the new customer who bought the SC kit we ended up installing for someone else. So stop trying to instigate and troll

    You guys forgot to put back the radiator shroud

      We did we just didn't show something you already know to put back.

      You guys removed it at 0:45. At 31:34 when you guys completed it it was missing. Your telling me that you guys removed the whole bumper to put it back on? In the intro didnt seem to have the piece too. Not trying to bash you guys. Just pointing it out. Probably one of the best install video out there.

    10+ years ago I had a vortech supercharged S2000 that put out 357 to the wheels at 11 psi... unfortunately it blew 3 diffs and I was tired of my girlfriend at the time shitting all over my broken car, so I sold it. RIP S2000.

    Kraftwerk kits are the worst in my opinion, you shouldn't have to modify anything for a kit this pricey. Science of speed has kits that legit bolt on and do not modify anything.

    • @BalladeSports
      @BalladeSports  4 роки тому +3

      Oh really like the way you don't have to modify the radiator hose to go around the after cooler? Or how about the oil leaking from the blower to the oil pan from the SOS kit? Not to mention the belt slippage from the ribbed belt always stretching. No boost consistency. Not to mention every time you want to do a clutch job the entire kit needs to be pulled off. Unlike the Kraftwerks kit to drop the subframe to take the transmission out. My point being everyone has an imperfect kit. If the car was made supercharged then it wouldn't be an issue. But building a kit after the fact a car is made, some compromises need to be made. To each their own. I own the SOS kit and own a KW kit on 2 separate S2ks. I choose the KW kit. But there are new whipple SC kit options and Magnasson blower kit options coming out also. I'm sure there will be some quirks as well.

    WARNING: this video shows about 5% of the actual work involved, and it'll take you around 20-30 hours for your first install. This video is almost a joke. 3 hours for the fuel pump install, but it's maybe a minute of this video. This video also will not help you with about 75% of the actual work and figuring things out.

    • @BalladeSports
      @BalladeSports  5 років тому +4

      Dethred1 3 hours to install a fuel pump? Your comment is as irrelevant as your mechanical skills. Installing an S2000 fuel pump even for the first time should take you one hour. If you look at some of the comments, people have used this video as reference to help them. WARNING: Internet trolls may comment posing as actual mechanics or technicians. They are 100% a joke, using high end cars as their avatar.

      @@BalladeSports 🤣🤣🤣. Go read the s2k forums, 3 hours is about average. Did you make this video for other mechanics, or a real DIY? Talk about trolling, I commented on the misleading (obviously unintentional, but still misleading), and you're commenting on my 991 C4S (LOL at "high end") that I sold last year. Jesus Christ, don't bring your car to their shop either, they sound like the polar opposite of LHT (i.e. honest, respectful).

    • @BalladeSports

      Dethred1 thank you for proving our point about your technical knowledge. Reading forums versus actual mechanics who have performed procedures. This is the extent of your knowledge. How about Honda book hours which is used to calculate labor hours does not even suggest 3 hours for an hour job. What does firing back at your have to do with our honesty or respect for customers? You’re not a customer nor are you respectful to other people’s work in which they post. This is a free video we made to help others and show how we do things. Don’t cry about being called out for your nonsense. 🤦‍♂️

      @@BalladeSports wait wait wait, you made this for people that already know how to do it? What a brilliant idea! My initial comment was for people just now viewing it for the first time, not full time greasemonkeys. I literally had to explain to a friend who is also interested in the KW kit that watched this video, that it's not a simple few-hours install. Anyone actually watching this video probably has a real job, and will be doing this on their own. And yeah, I'm not a customer, but thank fuck I now know to avoid your webstore, and just buy through LHT.😂

    Can you name it DIY if you have access to a lift and full garage? Try doing this on jacks in a small garage, thats what I call DIY.
