You know, you could always give in and make a pigeon wooden clock. Like, maybe buy a working clock mechanism and assemble it inside a mechanically pecking pigeon.
It's not solely because of what you do on the channel mate, that keeps us coming back for more. It's You. The 54,142 subscribers you have; as of this second, are here because of you. The way you present what you do. The Honesty in which you offer your work. And the uniqueness of the things you've created thus far. I'm late to the game but I'm glad I found you when I did and have enjoyed each video you've created and edited so perfectly. It's a True Honor to keep watching. Also, I absolutely Love the pigeon upside down. ..it's true poetic irony. I'm glad you've kept it. Anyhow thanks mate..(Just wanted to add, I DIDN"T type that message because of the competition. .I meant it).
My grandfather is a world champion roller pigeon flyer. Not a very common sport, but it is something to watch a bunch of pigeons summersaulting in the air. It's something he's worked hard at for many years and now he has a room full of pigeon trophies. He's the kind of person that genuinely appreciates the value of hard work and craftsmanship. He would love your work if I could get him to watch some UA-cam videos. Congratulations on 50,000 subscribers, you certainly deserve it.
You are an inspiration to us all Uri. Not just your works, but also the loving efforts that you share with us as you create these beautiful works of art. You seem such a kind and gentle soul who is able to break through the shyness to share a piece of your soul with the world. Your videos never fail to send me striding pigeon toed into my wood shop to create furniture that pales in comparison to your engravings. I salute you and, as always, Semper Fi.
"You have to accept the fact that sometimes you are the pigeon and sometimes you are the statue." Claude Chabrol i admire your work heavily.. and would be honored to own the thumbs up saw.. all the best and on to 100.000 subscribers!
I like that the pigeon is this common bird found all over cities and it's a very "basic" bird, it kind of reflects on how you are able to make amazing things with basic tools in a very small and basic workshops. It feels very down to earth and inspiring. Das ist gut! Congrats to 50k subs, cheers from Sweden!
This play button is way more beautiful than the actual play buttons UA-cam sends out! If this play button was a pigeon it would be the Frillback pigeon which is the most beautiful of all pigeons! Congratulations on the 50K subs, this is just the beginning.
Great job! I think it would be interesting to learn a bit about you in one of your videos. Could you give us a little “Day in the Life” introduction? Your background of education/work, where you live, do you have a family, that kinda stuff. Looking forward to more great videos. And you’ve inspired me to get a couple gravers and fancy things up a bit!
Uri, you're such a fantastic character ! Your videos are a joy to watch because your style is so "out of this world" ! Thank YOU so much and congratulations for 50k
I really like the work you did on the Play button, but the thumbs-up-saw is inspired. What a brilliant idea, and how nice of you to make it for one of us! I don't believe I could ever offer a comment worthy of such an award, so I'll just mention my favourite pigeon fact: the reason there's so many different colourations of pigeons in towns and cities is because they used to be prized as pets and kept for food by the poor. Humans complain about pigeons moving into cities and "taking over" from the native birds, but the humble pigeon is only there because we put them there!
The work you have done shaped my current view of crafting. I dont have a shop area and not a large amount of tools. I have seen this as a burden for a long time, refusing to build due to my limited arsenal. Seeing what you create with a small assortment of hand tools and a good attitude inspired me this year to build more than I have in years. All this time its really been my own stubborn view stopping me from growing. Thank you for what you do. If you continue your marvellous work, I bet another 50k subs are not far behind.
Great work Uri! I happened upon your channel a month ago and I love your work and dedication to doing all of your work %100 by hand with no power tools. The great thing about your work ethic is that you don't pigeonhole the quality of your finished products.
Pigeons are like men, we walk around all day long pecking at each other, not bothering to stop and focus on the real things of live like all the doves that just want to be loved. I really like this vid and am really looking forward to your next ones!
I'm just going to tell a strange dream I had several years ago: We were driving in a car, I was sitting in the back seat. We got stuck in traffic and I looked outside, there I saw pigeons enjoying a feast (lots of garbage along the road). I was looking at them, admiring them and suddenly... I was a pigeon too and was eating with them! I can't recall how long ago I dreamt it, but it is surely more than 5 years ago, maybe 10?? Thank you for all the amazing projects so far, I hope there are a lot more to come! Greetings from Belgium, Jan
I live near a small town based in the south of germany. It has a beautiful clocktower in the middle of it and that one has small little stores in a building built around it. In this town, near that clock tower, I come every day after school for a little bit and feed and draw the many pigeons that are sometimes landing here. They are wonderful little creatures and I adore that color play on their feathers. Those grey creatures that, when light hits them at the right angle, have those beautiful green and magenta colors. Pigeons are just beautiful animals...
Haha pigeons is actually a topic I have something for! I was taught when I was probably 6 how to do an incredibly realistic pigeon coo. I make a kind of flute with my hands and then do the same motion as rolling an R. What results is a noise that makes both pigeons and passersby look at me funny. Thank you Uri for the great content you put out on this channel. I can't wait to see the day you hit a million subs!
The first video i watched was the mechanical pencil, and then i binge watched the rest of your videos at like 3 in the morning. There is something so satisfying watching you engrave stuff.
You are one of the few artists I've seen who makes things that are PERFECTLY suited to my tastes. If I become independently wealthy one day, you're getting flown out to my home and being paid well to outfit my workshop. I can't stress how deeply attached to your works I have become in a very short time.
You’re going to be swimming in subscribers. You’re relatable, you make awesome engravings and you do it with hand tools. You’re a heck of a craftsman. But I care most about getting to see more of how you to hammer and chisel engraving because it helps me learn
I have never been a huge fan of pigeons. I have a pale yellow convertible with a black rag top. I also have grape and raspberry plants in my garden. We hav many pigeons and love birds in my area. Needless to say what happens to my car in the summer if I don’t put it in the garage. Hurray for your channel, you are a funny genius with your ideas! Love your videos. Thank you!
I just started watching your channel. I like you already. You even stopped to pet the cat when it was offering it's help. I like the fact that you are using all hand tools rather than power tools. Beautiful work.
Since watching all these videos of you engraving has a 18th century feel, here's a tinkered-with verse from 1725: Now he sings of Uri Tuchman Sitting in the Chimney-Corner Eating of a Christmas pye, Putting in his thumb, Oh fie! Putting in, Oh fie! his Thumb, Pulling out, Oh strange! a Pidgeon! Watching this channel swell from a few thousand to 50k subs was a treat! Congrats!
Uri, I told you that if you did woodworking tools you would go far. I'm 😁 so happy that it worked out so well. And as I said, you are an artist and those tools you've made are beautiful. Thanks for sharing your videos and your art.
I once saw 3 city guard writing up a form as a pigeon flew to their feet. I swear they were giving him a speeding ticket. Thus is the competance of Krakow City Guard! Another beautiful engraving, Uri. Love your channel! Iv'e heard of Pigeon tools... they don't make such an elegant.... albeit short, saw! :) I love it!
I bred a messenger pigeon with a woodpecker. it delivers the message, and it knocks on the door when it gets there. Also, your cats are gorgeous. mine like to hang around the workshop too.
Loved your work (as usual!) on the Play button Uri! Here's my pigeon story. My husband, one of our sons and I were at a park nearby. Our son was in his early teens. Anyhow, we were feeding the birds that reside there and my son decides to start teasing this pigeon by holding out a piece of bread then pulling it away when the bird flew to get it. Finally, the bird gets fed up and smacks my son in the face with one of his wings! It was priceless! Wish we had pictures of it! :)
Next challenge, you should try carving a 3D version of the pigeon! I know you mostly do engravings, but your carving was so cool in the last video. I'd love to see what you could do with a full blown sculpture! :)
came to your channel for metalwork, stayed for the adorable pigeons 🐦🐦🐦!.... and the metalwork. also for your wonderful cat, who clearly wanted to help you engrave in this one congratulations on 50k subs! you deserve it, this channel is wonderful and your work is very beautiful and intricate 😊
Play button looks great. A nice addition to your workshop. As for pigeons, I don’t know about yours, but my cats hate them, they sit by the window and shout at them when in the garden, good fun to watch! Congrats on the 50k subs!
I'm not sure, but something about your videos is just the perfect blend for me. The beautiful work you do combined with your jokes makes you very unique. I also love learning your different techniques as you have brought this secluded world of engraving and wood working to such a large audience. I have no complaints with your videos and hope to see your channel grow as your current videos are excellent. P.S. - You inspired me to try engraving on a kiridashi knife I made and while it didn't come out as good as your work, it made a very nice touch to it. Thank you
"I won't forget to remember you!" (Pigeon lady) I'm glad you got yourself a proper engraving block! It's impressive you could do it with just a regular bench vise. Now your work will be that much greater using the right tools for the job
It's not insanity that has propelled you to success. You offer a great deal of humor and skill. Of course, your cat made my decision to subscribe much easier.
That is just the cutest saw. You could cut very small pieces of wood into matchsticks, and then cut them in half. Congrats on 50k subscribers, long may the growth continue. Keep up the imaginative projects, it's what makes your channel unique.
50K, Well done! Not only are you entertaining; watching you work inspires me to go into my own garage and make my own embellished hammers and tools, and I bet I am not the only one.
Congratulations on 53,000 subscribers! I thought to myself while you were doing the play button, "That must be more straight lines than he's used in the last three whole projects!". I just hope no one SQUABbles over whoever you choose to give a thumbs up.
That play button is very nice. How about adding your name and a couple of brass inlaid pigeons to jazz it up some more? Cheers to your continued success Uri. Thank you for taking the time to make and post these videos.
Your work is beautiful to watch come to life. Your passion for tools, unique pieces that combine art and function is so welcome in today's rushing mass produced world. The time you spend to get the quality is a lesson to us all. I also hadn't realised I've been watching your videos for ages without subscribing! Silly me, one more then to see you on the way to 100,000.
You inspire me to try new forms of art. The 50,000 subs are well deserved. Like the majestic pigeon, I bet your subscribers numbers will increase uncontrollably. I can't wait to see what you make when you hit 100,000!
I personally think it would be really amazing if you could create some sort of a Victorian style mechanical pigeon that functions kind of like those little birds inside of the antique 18th century bird music boxes. It would especially look rather beautiful with all the scrollwork and engraving with the filigree designs that you perform. The art that you engrave is truly a wonderful masterpiece in my eyes and I actually want to learn how to draw and engrave designs like that. Plus I watch all of your videos and it just amazes me on how beautiful your creations are and all the thought and work you put it on every detail rather it be big or small and how you take your time. You truly are a craftsman and an artist.
You're a master in your class, Uri! I've come to enjoy your videos, especially your greeting, because it makes me feel like I'm watching a friend create.
"fifty thousand" just look at that. Subs are just people on UA-cam. But fifty thousand? Individuals? That's a lot of people that have clicked that button... I was just thinking about how many people joined in the time I found your channels first several videos. Thanks Uri! I'm honored to be among the first thousand to see it boom! We'll all be here for the next fifty. 😎
I'm from New York, I have been spreading your videos everywhere, friends, family, facebook, chat rooms, bars, I've even been sending links to your videos via pigeon. And trust me, we've got a lot of pigeons. Uri, my name's Kevin, I just wanted to say how creative and dedicated you are. Not only is the work you do beautiful, but it's all done by hand, and you make it look so easy. You're going to have a lot more than 50k subscribers one day, I promise.
Too many people are Pigeon in now, and Toucan bet Owl be swept away. But there is one Cardinal rule, "No harm no fowl." Hopefully Ibis seeing you all, Wren I Robin this saw! Congratulations on the 50k, you deserve it!
Congratulations on reaching 50,000 subscribers! Your videos have taken off like a pigeon taking flight. Your craftsmanship and humor are both amazing. Your videos are a ray of sunshine on a gloomy day. Soon you’ll be making a 100,00 button!
your channel has grown a lot my friend, I still don't know how I found your channel when it was seemingly new, but your rate of growth has been amazing, keep up the good work!
I would love to see you engrave a landscape into brass. I think there is a lot of potential places to make a focal point of a pigeon and i think the pigeon could be stylized with the scroll work engraving style that you're well known for. Or Create a painted or engraved portrait of your cats in fancy suits with pigeon motifs all around the frame or as a pigeon pendent on the cats collar Congrats on the 50k subs! Your videos and calm demeanor with subtle humor inspires me to try engraving, I've done some things to knife handles mostly but i'm looking into getting chisels too! I wish you much more future success Uri, take it easy~
Last November I decided to build my own muzzleloading flintlock rifle from a kit. I'd never built anything of such complexity or scope before, and spent the month learning (painfully, painstakingly, and expensively) about carpentry, metalworking, machining, and yes, engraving. During that month there were two rock doves that apparently took to nesting in the gravel near my driveway. About the time I was done with the project, I noticed the doves had left. I hope those little guys did okay.
Congratulations Uri! Glad you got a new vise too! Sometimes people’s skills don’t deserve their tools in your case your skills deserve the best tools. Well done
That tiny thumb saw is so cute...i'm so happy for you that you reached 50000 subscribers. Your skills and your craftmanship are out of this world...or out of time. Maybe a time traveler? congratulations!
I don't know much about pigeons unfortunately but I do find your work truly inspiring and I thank you for that. God Bless my friend and here's to the next 50k.
Congratulations on the Fifty three thousand!!! I enjoy watching all of the projects you upload, and am delighted to see others enjoy your work as well!
That play button is way better than the ones they send from UA-cam! Great work uri...
Far way better from any i've seen someone make on youtube

That play button is very nice. How about adding your name and a couple of brass inlaid pigeons to jazz it up some more?
Cheers to your continued success Uri. Thank you for taking the time to make and post these videos.
Never stop learning new skills. As a craftsman it's never good to pigeon hole yourself into just one thing.
Congrats on that new ball vice!
That 'beeping' you did with the cat's paw is the best thing I've seen all day 👌
Your work is beautiful to watch come to life.
50K !!!! Pigeon-holed as an inverted pigeoneer. Keep up the great work.
You inspire me to try new forms of art. The 50,000 subs are well deserved. Like the majestic pigeon, I bet your subscribers numbers will increase uncontrollably. I can't wait to see what you make when you hit 100,000!
The best 50k button ever, and the most deserved.
How can someone dislike this video? I don't understand. Uri, all stuff you do it's just marvelous.
I'm so glad you hit 50k. You make wonderful pieces of art.🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
🐦🐦🐦🐦🐦
You're a master in your class, Uri! I've come to enjoy your videos, especially your greeting, because it makes me feel like I'm watching a friend create.
This pidgeon will bring peace to many different manufacturing fields.
God has blessed you with inspiring talents! Keep up the gifted work!
So beautiful. I love the curving designs, so restful and flowy. Not like a pigeon which are somewhat frantic bin chickens.
Great work and congrats on 50,000 subscribers. May the muse of the inverted pigeon lead you to many more wonderful projects.
I would love to see you engrave a landscape into brass. I think there is a lot of potential places to make a focal point of a pigeon and i think the pigeon could be stylized with the scroll work engraving style that you're well known for.
Or
Create a painted or engraved portrait of your cats in fancy suits with pigeon motifs all around the frame or as a pigeon pendent on the cats collar
Congrats on the 50k subs! Your videos and calm demeanor with subtle humor inspires me to try engraving, I've done some things to knife handles mostly but i'm looking into getting chisels too! I wish you much more future success Uri, take it easy~
I am repeating myself, but this was another awesome project, Uri! Thank you for sharing!
Well done
Thank you! It is only because of you that I could save up to buy this vise, I couldn't be more grateful!
We have a pigeon loft on our land in Pontmain in France and we make fantastic pies when we are there with them yum yum yum!
Congrats Uri! I imagine many UA-camrs would be very envious of that play button!
That tiny thumb saw is so cute...i'm so happy for you that you reached 50000 subscribers. Your skills and your craftmanship are out of this world...or out of time. Maybe a time traveler? congratulations!
Well done on the well deserved 50k, Uri! Your channel is incredibly entertaining and inspiring to watch, long may it continue.
You are a great inspiration, thank you for all you work and time
I don't know much about pigeons unfortunately but I do find your work truly inspiring and I thank you for that. God Bless my friend and here's to the next 50k.
Wow! This is super cool!
Congratulations on your 50K subscriber count! All the best and continue the super work!
Never stop making videos of your projects brother, they are the real giveaway
What a great passion of yours bro... I am wood worker and I always wanted to start engraving. Now you will be my virtual instructor.
Congratulations on the Fifty three thousand!!!
I enjoy watching all of the projects you upload, and am delighted to see others enjoy your work as well!
Beautiful. You have the hands of a surgeon
