I saw the footage online. There was no reason for Tony Kahn to fear for his life. Congratulations on making CM Punk look like a saint. Not only that, but Punk, Cody Rhodes and (probably) Triple H are more over in AEW than anyone on their own roster.
It sounds weird but as some of the bigger names have suggested, Khan comes from a world where physical confrontations don't happen, so the likelihood of him being involved in that might genuinely worry him. Of course, it was a silly line but it might actually be true. He knows Punk had fought the Bucks before.
This was a modern-day finger poke of doom.
This could well be the beginning of the end for AEW.

So the news from this show is that CM Punk was 100% honest, he didn't exaggerate the story to make himself sound like a tough guy and that Buck vs FTR is happening for the 1045th time.
So basically, tune into WWE.
Punk painted a picture of himself being in control (emotionally) and teaching a kid a lesson, and letting go when Joe politely asked.
Reality is far different.
Perry was calm and passive and Punk attacked him while he had his hands in his hair. Punk was wild and out of control. He even lunged for Tony.
Punk omitted so many things. In an effort to make himself look better.
Now Perry is selling out merch, and owned Chicago crowd last night. Getting positive chants and cheers even.

If you've been involved in these type of situations You'll Always Find that people we'll have a different perspective depending on their vantage point.
Take Tony Khan for instance, he witnessed this happen and had CM Punk scream at him "you're a clown, I quit" and thought he was in a life-threatening situation.
Punk, who despite his unsuccessful MMA career has been involved in a lot of MMA training with high-level martial artists at the Duke Roufus gym saw Samoa Joe jumping in as he did as Joe asking politely for Punk to let go jungle boys scrawny neck.
Whereas if Samoa Joe jumped at you like that you would probably be saying something similar to Tony Khan 🤷♂️ it's all just a matter of perspective

@@pinroshan020 At this point I don't think you can take shots at HHH, because they don't really make sense. Before Steph he was a mutli time champ. He was a respected in ring worker, respected by his peers, moved into booking, got a ton of praise for NXT (which Vince then almost ruined) and since moving into overseeing everything has really had WWE being amazing. Attacking the dude based on his real marriage, when he's shown clearly its not because of that he's actually very good at his job.....was a silly route to take from AEW, it was made worse by the fact they used TV time to do it, but I think even on a podcast would have fallen flat. CM Punk on the podcast worked, because it was ..true. Acting like HHH hasn't proven he can and should have the job he has...is just not back up in reality.
Let's see the result of that 'mistake.'

Cheap heat isn't how you build angles nor business. There's no CM Punk jack perry match coming, the ratings poped for the footage, not because anyone cares about the ACTUAL storylines on AEW, but because CM punk is a bigger draw than their entire roster

Them airing that tape put CM Punk over so hard 😂 since it went down almost exactly as he said it makes his word on everything else seem that much more valid. Not only that, but it builds the legend of the CM Punk “anti authority” character which has been a part of his appeal since the indies. this was the worst episode/day in AEW history. Will Ospreay cut an embarrassing promo in an empty arena talking taking shots at a guy who just had NXT do a show for 18,000 people.
also the same thing could be said about Tony Khan that Ospreay said about Triple H because he only has money because who his dad impregnated.
Don't forget Will Osprey bullied a woman out of the business based on a lie.
His scathing promo also centered around a joke that was played out almost before Osprey was even born. He'd have been better off making bald jokes.

Isn't that 81k record AEW claimed at All In were already fact-checked last year? I remember some said that the turnstile count was off the 81k a few weeks after All In and at 70k+. Or was it Dave Meltzer still remain on that 81k based from AEW claims?
they claim to have sold 81K tickets but attendance was not 81K. It's weird that they want to boast about fans not turning up to a show.

What Perry does after these events will determine the success or failure of it. Time will tell... I project that Perry will be back in AEW soon & the ratings will continue to dwindle down.
If AEW had kept Punk and Perry was the one fired, WWE would not even think about signing Perry. Perry would not even be on WWE's radar. WWE cultivates wrestlers from their Performance Center that would be what Perry is ...and a lot more.
