The CW is not better than USA. CW has shows that only get 8k viewers. USA would never air a show that got 8k viewers. The top show in CW does around 600k. I knew nothing about Stephanie Vaquer until she was announced for Forbidden Door. She had one of the BEST matches on that show. She easily out-worked Mercedes, and made me a fan. She did a job to a bigger name, and clearly Won by Losing. That spot where she uses her hair as a Death Mask when she is under is one of the coolest things i've seen in years. If she had signed with AEW, they would have wasted her like they have with a lot of their roster. She got over in front of the biggest audience I'd imagine she's ever been seen by, and took the best offer. Good on her. In WWE, she won't have to work like she's trying to kill herself anymore. AEW generally signs talent so they can hot-shot a couple weeks' worth of pops, WWE generally signs talent to develop so they can generate a decade of pops. It doesn't always work for either company, but WWE has a much more sound long-term philosophy.

@OscarASevilla I think you're all missing the point. The guy I replied to was trying to make out WWE sign wrestlers with a goal in mind. You don't end up with over 100 expendable wrestlers if that's the case. The reality is that WWE signed a lot of wrestlers they didn't need or didn't what to do with.

WWE isn’t a professional wrestling promotion, it’s a television company. If AEW were on the level of WCW during the Bischoff years then I would concede the point, but essentially the WWE is like a team winning their division every year when the other teams in that same division can’t get above .500

AEW and CMLL will get over it. Stephanie will be even more and have even more name recognition now being in the royal rumble, summerslam, survivor series, wrestlemania.

She burn that bridge with CMLL. CMLL knew that she was going to the WWE and was ok with it, but wanted her to drop the titles and do a proper send-off. Instead Stephanie chose to go cancel her wrestling date with CMLL and head straight to the WWE without dropping the titles.

You have the greatest 10 star matches but if you do not entertain and grasp your fans to get what they want and give them store lines and it takes storylines and you gotta stick with the story lines and you gotta build the storylines up to keep the audience going matches one one over and then what’s next And span of the average human being is 10 seconds if that five seconds you have to grab the retention and key them on that’s what’s the biggest issue with AEW they have not come to realization you have the greatest five star match the history of damn time but it’s one time thenit’s about building lines building characters, getting people getting invested in the story and get the car and build from that and that dumb dumb do not understand
