I remember watching these shows in Canada back in the 90s, little did I know I would end up married to Sgt Craig Brown 10 years later! He has since retired and we are living peacefully. So proud of him and all of his brothers and sisters in Blue.

I think we all have some interesting addiction to these and we love the fact that this was a time when there were no cell phones with social media, everyone was interacting in person. Things were more connected even though they weren't.....just a time that unfortunately none of the younger generations born after the 1990's will ever get to experience. Im afraid these days are long gone but the bright side is that its preserved on youtube :)!

I was born in 07, I find it very fascinating to look at the 90's era. Everybody seems so much more respectful even if they know they're doing something shady. Detain somebody nowadays with a simple terry stop and you get faced with levels of entitlement one thought would be impossible, guilty or not.

My dad immigrated to Oakwood Venice on a work visa in the 90s and right after I was born I was brought to the states. I’ve lived in Mar Vista, Culver City, Sawtelle since then and I’ve lost friends and people I knew to the gang life. I wanted to do more for my life and not end up as another statistic. OMG 14:00 female cop looks like a role model to me and I can see myself in a Public Safety enforcement only since I got my security guard card, not something I looked forward in doing, but boredom and lack of knowledge got to me. Recently I went to a police station near the Pier in Los Angeles, CA and I was like wow they gave a presentation of all their job positions and at the end I was like none of my interest. I also looked on CBP a few years back, to work at the Tijuana border, but I failed the test. Now, I'm going to dedicate myself to my career as I had planned before the security guard card and see how it goes. 🐱

The good days of policing. Dealing with gangs and crime. These days they can just say fck you I don’t answer questions, I’m not stepping out of the car, call your supervisor.
Back in this day, it wasn’t uncommon to get cooperation from gang members, you get stopped, it’s out with your hands up, everyone is patted, everyone is checkered etc. Don’t like it? Don’t be a criminal.

Never in my life saw any organized crime sent Police a war declaration letter like this. Usually in most countries (not 3rd world countries of course), if a gang claim responsibility of killing an officer, Police would sweep the whole turf and detain/shoot as many as possible, until the gang can be never formed again. So in most cases the gangs would avoid killing the cops as it would bring great trouble, not to mention sending a letter like this. Guess that's not the case in 1998 US.
Even in 2020s after BLM i still rarely saw US gangs doing things like this. Most of the Police ambush seems to be quite independent incidents not a gang retaliation.
