@@bravao3233 I was a cop for 30 years in the Met in London and i was impressed with this lad. thank you for your dedicated service, just shows how society has changed since this show, where there was a certain respect for police. today there is none.
LAPD will never will never have an amazing dedicated human like PETE !!!! PETE you are truly one of a kind. God bless you, Sir!!! You truly were born to be a policeman for LAPD!!!!
This started with showing a 1997 Crown Vic..... No reason to stop the car until Backup is there with you. Big chance by yourself. LAPD is One of the Greatest in the field. May GOD keep you and give you a long life Pete.
I’m watching the episode showing you. Amazing how many gangs there are in LA. Congratulations on your achievement & being able to go home every night. Enjoy your retirement & wishing the very best to you. I’m watching from Minnesota. Take care. 💙💙💙🙏💙💙💙✝️👊👊👊
Outstanding Officer. I’m glad to see he was successful in rising up through the ranks. Police will never be like this again and sadly.. it’s what’s needed more now!
“A Third of Men are Heroes, a Third are Cowards, and a Third are Villains. Cowards and Villains can still become heroes, but they have to make that choice.”
Amazing work by Officer Casey. However, on 1:56 you can see two units just about 30 yards away from the traffic stop. The directors might have tried to recreate this scene instead of using raw footage?
I would love to watch this episode but there are lines that keep running through it. Any way you can fix and repost it, or? Great channel and love your shows! Thank You!
I grew up in in 70s' and 80s' in Westchester and Playa Del Rey which was part of the Pacific Divisions patrol area. We didn't have gangs. I wonder whatever happened to Officer Lopez. He was known as a no-nonsense hard charging officer in that area from back in the early 80s'.
I’m guessing nothing has changed since we left in the 90’s thanks mom and dad good choice me and my other to siblings are doing good in life finish school and college just enjoying the best part of life.
This show is absolutley amazing! As a european you have absolutley no access to this series =( Is it planned to upload more seasons? I really really hope so!!!
Well done officer for taking Justice. One beautiful dog. Bless you always officer.. keep safe . Elizabeth in England 🚔🚔🚔🚔🚔🚔🚔🚔 🗽🗽🗽🗽🗽🗽🗽🗽 🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧
Yet in West LA today, people are as paranoid and fearful as ever, despite being safer than ever. Kids not allowed to play on the street, parents assuming every single adult male is a pedophile.... No one talks to anyone anymore, everyone is a potential threat. Its quite sad. I reckon a large part of it has to do with how 90% of LA residents are not from here. Thus are too green to have experienced those times of real danger in the streets. I couldn't even wear certain colors growing up.
At the beginning of the video. Shooting sounds like Culver City Boys. They tend to frequent the 5000 Block os Slauson Ave. Now adays with better tactics and training the Cops would have left them in the car until a few more units arrive. Not smart to pull them out with at least 2 other units as back ups as the suspects were 5, cops 2. Tactics were different back in the day....
Horrible tactics by Casey. I spent 37 years at LAPD and was a detective supervisor in the officer involved shooting unit for years. I was in HOBK Crash, South Bureau Crash, DSD GANGS and OIC of the citywide gang intel section. This is one of the most unsound tactical incidents I have seen and if there had been a shooting, it would have been administrative disapproval for deficient tactics, if Casey survived. Casey was a sergeant at 77th when I was a sergeant there and I think he had calmed down a bit. I think he is a dedicated guy, but needed to temper his exuberance.
I’m proud to be an American where atleast a know am free founded by the fathers that then then gave there rights to me ! Singing oh my god I love this land 😢 god bless the USA 🇺🇸 🇺🇸 🇺🇸 god bless Danald Trump ! US president 2024!!!
Im surprised that Pete made it thru his 30 yrs. to retirement, i figured the gangsters would have gotten him for sticking his nose into business when he wasn't on shift. Kinda stupid if ya ask me, kinda like Pac-man on movie Colors.
Are you serious ? there was so much going on in 88 just like in 98 maybe worse the gangs started getting racial at that point and the violence was getting out of control
Horrible crime scene integrity and I place blame on the sergeant and Casey. They know better than to let officers wander about in the scene. Put up tape, interview witnesses and start a crime scene log. You can tell the division does not have a lot of murders (at that time).
Pete retired as a captain in 2022 after over 30 years in the LAPD. Well done that man
Good to hear! Was curious if he survived.
