  • After such a long wait for the fourth part of the critique series (sort of), here is a breakdown of two characters that were pretty good (for the most part) in John Walker (Captain America/U.S. Agent) and Lemar Hoskins (Battlestar)

I wrote a whole essay back when this show finished airing about all the ways this story framing for John is a lot of audience manipulation and double standard/hypocrisy. There are so many ways they could have painted this dynamic between John and Sam and Bucky but somehow they chose the most hypocritical. All they really had to do was have Sam and Bucky give John a chance first, and then maybe John does mess up and that’s when they start distancing themselves. That would have solved a lot of the hypocrisy in the dynamic.

Imagine that this was Steve Rogers and Falcon/Winter Soldier didn’t know him. Would Steve put up with any of their shit? They broke a terrorist out of prison and blew off Captain America multiple times while actively making the problem worse

John was the best part of the series I can watch him killing flagsmashers all day in the most brutal way possible

  • @louisduarte8763

I still don't know what the Flag Smashers wanted to accomplish, or how they would go about it, or if anyone still agreed with them after series' end (side-eyes Cassie Lang after getting arrested in "Quantumania"). Didn't the beginning of Endgame show that life after the Snap sucked, and everyone was miserable?

Two good men in an insane world, good stuff my guy

Steve never used a gun in the comics or rarely did and john walker was created to show why captain america with guns was stupid but they did make him have a good story and character. But in the mcu, both have used guns. Correct me if im wrong.

It’s always amazed me how some people consider John Walker the bad guy. The man is a legit hero. He also has a lower body count than every single one of the avengers im pretty sure. It’s comical comparing him to Sam because Sam will just casually blow a couple people up and move on like nothing even happened lol but we are apparently supposed to demonize Walker because he’s a white conservative or something

Your use of random clips is just hilarious. Shows how versatile you are. Youre not like a lot of these new "critics" who just hate for the sake of it, you actually give this stuff a shot and want it to be good. Youre a fan like me and yeah i also felt falcon and winter soldier were mean for no reason. Walker was the hero. Battlestar too.

So quick comment about the Zemo gun fiasco. You mentioned the 3rd theory of him snagging john or b-star's gun. Those 2 are using STI Perfect 10's and Zemo is using a polymer framed striker fired pistol, a CZ if I'm seeing it right. Gun's don't just morph lol. I love the vids tho!!!!

Phase 4 heroes: Enslaving civilians, murdering heroes, murdering prison inmates and workers, murdering cops, covering up war crimes of another country and refusing to share vibranium to help people even though they promised to do it a few years ago.

John's story reminds me of the Scarlet Witch quote.

John Walker is the same as Fred Jones in Velma.

It's almost like the writers confused the scripts and made sam and bucky the assholes while pretending they are the heroes, while making john and lemar great human beings wanting to make them assholes

You try to make a character the audience is supposed to dislike, just to make a political point, and you end up making the most morally sound member of the cast.

This show was the absolute last straw for me with the MCU. Sam and Bucky were two of my favorite characters and John Walker/USAgent was the first character I got a trading card for from Marvel and I've always been a fan.
