I am new to this game, so i bought 3x chapter one starter decks and ... in one i pulled out enchanted Aladdin :D Did not know value of that card at first, but it look nice so i check it website and it blows my mind!
Welcome to the game! And congrats on that Aladdin pull! Some of those cards are pretty ridiculous in price, but you gotta admit...it feels pretty good when you pull one!
I'm sorry. I felt like I did both. While the overall ranking took into account the cards pulled from the booster, I also mention that the best bang for your buck is Floodborn Amethyst/Steel because of the Merlin Rabbit and Madam Mim Fox.
@@MacsIlluminary Yeah it was definitely still interesting to see them compared. Just generally would be nice if would be more a ranking between all starter decks (also the 3rd from the first chapter) and then maybe a resumé in the end, where you rank each of them by their value, also showing each value again. The pack opening part and combining each set's value together didn't seem to make much sense for the video, at least in my opinion!
Thanks for watching! Luckily, First Chapter starter decks aren't too difficult to find compared to everything else First Chapter. I wish you all the luck on your pulls when you get them!
I would've liked to see this as value without the booster packs. Also, breaking down the 3rd First Chapter in comparison to the rest of them would've been way more helpful.
I think everyone will have a different answer to this question, so I encourage others to also respond, but in my opinion it's Amethyst / Steel from Rise of the Floodborn. It was probably the most fun I've had playing a starter deck and the Merlins and Madam Mims that come in that deck are still staples of any Amethyst deck.
@@MacsIlluminary thank you that’s the Merlin one right? Also I’m open to suggestions I’m new to the game and would like to eventually play competitively
Yeah, the Merlin one! It's really hard to make recommendations for play. I'm new to TCGs myself and I've only played in a handful of competitive events. For me, I didn't know my play style so I tried a bunch until I found something that just kindda clicked for me (Ruby/Sapphire), so that's where I would recommend you start. Head to dreamborn.ink/decks?sort=trending&archetype=competitive where you'll find trending competitive decks built by other players and just try them out until you find something that works best for you. Some of them are created by content creators so they'll have UA-cam videos as well showing you how to play the deck efficiently. So you don't have to buy all of the cards at once, you can play online for free with an AI via Ink Table. To do this: 1. Open a deck you'd like to try 2. Click "Menu" in the top left of the deck page 3. Click "Export" 4. Click "Ink Table" 5. Click "Play on Ink Table" This will open up Ink Table automatically with that deck so you can start playing. Keep in mind you may want to do this for a few different decks right off the bat so you some options to choose for the AI as well. If you haven't seen Ink Table in action, I have a video playing a random deck which you can find here, ua-cam.com/video/_JUNk4AY1c0/v-deo.html Sorry for the essay, but I hope this is helpful!

I thought you'd rank them by their value without the booster, sadly it's not really informative like this.

That's a fair opinion and great feedback. I really appreciate that!
I was coming to comment this.
I need two of the first chapter starter decks and sapphire steel is one of them . Nice pull with the Rapunzel 🎉

Thank you for watching! This is very fair feedback, and I think I may do another version when Azurite Seas is released.
What would you say is the best out the box deck?
