Going to a LGS starter set tourney next Friday. Really looking forward to it, but it's great and very useful to see the deck contents beforehand. The fact these starter decks include an entire pack is so nice. For mtg precons it's like a 1-2 card sample collector pack, so having a full booster in these feels like a really good deal.
Haven't been playing TCGs very long. But Lorcana looks really fun. I am hoping to be able to pick up a Starter and some boosters. The LCSs near me weren't able to get Aug. 18 release and Best Buy pre-order is sold out. Fingers-crossed. In the meantime, you guys are putting up some great content. Keep it up.
Starter decks should be fairly available at other big box stores (Walmart/Target) on September 1st, but keep crossing those fingers just in case! Thanks for watching our stuff! 😁
Just found out about this game yesterday. I love playing MTG and Yugioh and this game looks just as fun as those games. Having a hard time deciding if I should get one of each starter deck or just two of the starter decks. Definitely getting the Ruby and emerald one for myself. I want to get at least one more so I can try to get my friends into it. Plus I wonder if they plan to ever include Star Wars, avatar, or marvel into it. Would be so cool if they did two starter decks with Starwars. One with all empire stuff, and then one with all Rebel stuff. Then you could basically play a Star Wars themed Lorcana game. That would so sick. Do Ruby and steel for dark side, Sapphire and Emerald for the light side. Idk how well those colors work together in a deck but it’s the ones that would make the most sense for Star Wars. 😂
Well, even though your idea seems very cool, I wouldn’t hold my breath for Star Wars in Lorcana. They are really trying to stick to the Disney animated properties for their story, so it would have to be a long time until we see other properties. As for your starter deck question, I think the starter decks are wonderful launching point for new players. It’s a great way to learn the game, but if you’re already experienced with other card games you could probably get two of the same starter deck and upgrade from there for your own deck. And by the way: We have a whole podcast episode in the description about playing/upgrading these decks 😎

star wars will get its own ccg next year so don't count on it for lorcana
I would have liked to have seen the other two foils too. Other than that, the 30 minute video seemed to just fly by!
Are the cards in the starter also in the set? Or exclusive to the starter deck?
