It is neat to hear how a job that seems simple (like being a stylist or running a salon) actually has so many tasks associated with it. At the same time, it makes a lot of sense for people working at salons to be doing so many different things as they seem to be smaller businesses in the big picture. Thanks for doing this interview!
what! that is not enough money, I make that much sitting down as a Admin Asst. I know people make 8-10k monthly doing hair. I see this is 5years ago hopefully this has changed.
I was wondering if you can help me here, my girlfriend and I are buying a salon where she already manages it for the last 20 yrs,we both agree to split the profits 50/ 50 , if she works behind the chair does she get paid a managers salary and take 50% of profits or is that considered double dipping on the profits?
@@Executiveinvestments- yes salons do have a lot of overhead but that’s relative to how she started and invested her money in the beginning. Her overhead can be offset by her income and give her a means to make more money. There’s so much she’s not divulging that could shed light on why it is so low. And there’s likely income she can’t divulge that doesn’t go onto her taxes.
@@erikagrant9576 its not true? It sure is true. I know THREE people that own salons including a family member. Overhead is HUGE. And dont tell me this girl is cheating on taxes. She will be put OUT of business. EVERYONE pays by card, NOT cash and small business's get audited all the time. Like I said, not much money in this business. You would make more money running a salon from your house.

Earning only 55,000 yuan a year is too low. My boss, a hair salon studio, earns 30,000 yuan a month.
