I have spent the last 20+ years in the salon industry, tech and fashion. I left the industry at some point to become a Fireman and Aux. Police Officer. I did 6 years service and resigned shortly after 9/11.
I have a passion for helping people, educating and motivating. I work with major brands, local businesses and individuals looking to expand and grow.

Seems like a great guy. I like his ideas. I have been an owner a long time and like these videos. I agree that it is 24/7 to own but I love it. Yes sometimes it is brutal but it seems to be normal after awhile. Don't do it if you are not up for ongoing commitment.

I was wondering if you can help me here, my girlfriend and I are buying a salon where she already manages it for the last 20 yrs,we both agree to split the profits 50/ 50 , if she works behind the chair does she get paid a managers salary and take 50% of profits or is that considered double dipping on the profits?
I am an assistant ATM... sort of... it's a small salon, so I get to do a lot! Everyone helps each other out and my boss has confidence in me so she gets me clients, i ask for help if I need it, if I'm busy, someone else will fill in for me while I'm doing a client and I hope if I open a salon, that I can do a similar sort of thing as I have worked in other places where all the crap jobs are for juniors and you don't learn anything st all

I am currently a college student who is also looking into the career of barbering, I was wondering if you can do a video of the process of becoming a barber or hair stylist, EX. How long it takes? What are the requirements? and is it possible to just be trained by someone from ones local barber shop? I was wondering if there is any schools that's are good for training people, if feel as though I would be very passionate about barbering as a career.

I have a question how do you pay an assistant that will be shampooing, blow drying hair ext? I have thought about hiring one that's in school but not sure how to pay them or how most pay them? I have been a salon owner going on 3 years.
