That enormous scraper gliding over the land with such precision is a sight to behold. Its robust build and impressive capacity make it indispensable for large-scale grading and earth-moving operations.
As an apprentice for the MOD, I had the honour to go stand next to a Griffon going full chat on a Henan and Fraud dynamometer. Not for long - BELIEVE ME.
Damm, watching the detroit run away about gave me a heart attack! Word to the wise, Keep a board handy to cover the intak if it doesn't have a kill door and hope like hell it doesn't suck a seal.
Should be mentioning the torque these engines made, which is more important, and more impressive, than the horsepower. For example, the Case 110 traction engine makes 3,000 lb-ft of torque @240 RPM. The McCormick Deering makes a minimum of 105 lb-ft of torque based on its 20 HP @1,000 RPM. As near as I can find, the Mogul made 420 lb-ft with its 20 HP @ 250 RPM.
Just makes me wish to have a BIG Steam Generator in my back yard. Because electric bills can get exspensive. Although niebhors will complain about the noise.
When a diesel starts the throttle is wide open. when it starts the governor pulls the speed back to idle. if the speed drops too low the governor opens the throttle. speed increases too much and governor pulls it back again... over and over. just a poorly adjusted governor or worn linkages.
Lol as usual, the 2 strokes run great and the 4 strokes run like a stinking pile of dog crap, once these stubborn piles of scrap metal finally fire! Fine examples of why I don’t like 4 stroke garbage. But to be honest this clip shows this difference well! Lol! Cheers all! 👍🏻😋
I love watching that old stuff run so cool .
0:20 That big front wheeled tractor sound makes me singing we will we will rock you unconsiously...
These machines sound almost like my 2018 Royal Enfield Classi 500. I love it.
My God that md35 is in impeccable shape McCormick Deering 1025 tractor I would love to have an old steel wheeledl tractor like that.
Wow !¡!! I love that Sound of this old
"Ironhorse"!
What a beautiful noise
Semi-diesels are still preferred engines in Scandinavian fishing boats. It is a treat to listen to their slow beats.

What a Beautiful piece of machinery ❤ Thank You for this post so I can see how it all evolved 😮
Glad you enjoyed it
13:30 that guy who operate the diesel engine has a good sense of rhythm, look at his right feet ;)
I wish my 23 Chevy Silverado sounded like the ole 4 cylinder tractor 💪💪💪
26:10 when the guy realised the Detroit was running away and "killed" the turbo to kill the runaway!
The last one sounded like it was about to be reduced to a pile of parts lying on the ground!
I just love those old diesel engines that were started on petrol first and then switched to diesel.
Gracias ,muy bueno..

2:46 train foamers here!
Those Fairbanks Morse engines sound like they're talking or chanting...
Where is Thomas the tank engine
My favorite is the fairbanks and morris. They also built locomotives with opposed piston diesel engines.
Y hoy se rompe un sensor y te quedas sin máquina 👍👍👍👍👍👍 saludos desde ARGENTINA BAHIA BLANCA 👏👏👏🇦🇷
These need some Marvel Mystery Oil.. These are some real cool machines.
I clicked on this by accident!
LUCKY!!!!
That one comes with its own fireworks display.
Moving the world beneath it...
Some of those things look a bit temperamental, and the startup procedure for some looks pretty hazardous, but they've definitely got character!
That Enterprise needs a shed roof built over it real bad.
Heavy metal never had such a great beat!😊
13:30 That's a techno diesel.
I am amazaed

It just shows, on land, You can't beat the power of the steam engine. Especially the old ones on the tractor drag. 😅
13:31: machine says: "difficult difficult difficult difficult difficult difficult difficult"
That mogul tractor has a great beat.
12:56 this was the best gun in duke nukem
The good thing about the old stuff is you can make them work and produce food 😅😅😅and if you havent noticed !food is good 😅😅😅😅
For the tractor it sounds like some boss battle music starting up no really
Take a look people, that is what we used to make.
Now it's just windmills...
2:28 l can smell the exhaust from here. 😮
Some amazing old machinery. But that 1910 Mogul .... hmmm, I reckon a few horses could do more work. 😄

Manoel da Silva da q Brasil do estado pé ❤❤❤❤❤🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉😊😊😊😊😊😊
6:44 Terrence the Tractor 🚜!!!
I don’t think I’d want to run that Case Steamer in a hay field!
Chatty, chatty bang!, bang! 🤣
@24:00 Bob, maybe we shoulda bolted it down first??? Nah, I can hold it fine.
Einen Spruch habe ich auch noch:
Hubraum ist durch nichts zu ersetzen, aussser durch noch mehr Hubraum;😅
I'm sure Wile E. Coyote has used just about every engine shown here.
And still ran himself over MEEP MEEP!
DA Crowd Chopper !
The Case 110 needs a spark arrester otherwise you would burn the field your trying to harvest!!
1:00 is that one-cylinder engine?
The cat dozer engine sounds like a 1693 knocking and banging the only way a diesel should sound sweet music
Fuel economy is measured in km per 100l.
High Employment ! . .Some require 3 or more operators to keep them running. $$$.
The Rap 24 was the first machine dancing to RAP MUSIC.
Ikr😅😅, I was vibin to the beat 😎😎
Bester Beitrag: 8:10👍
Alco Diesel engines have the Best Sound
19:49. A compressor. Wow. That is a dissasembled 2-stroke engine. Let me guess. You just made that up?
Just makes me wish to have a BIG Steam Generator in my back yard. Because electric bills can get exspensive. Although niebhors will complain about the noise.
Работа как музыка 13:50
Was anyone "amazed" by the sounds??
Not yet, but I'm not finished with the videeo.
Some good beats 😂
Yes of course, sorry your a little shallow.
@@jamesmundt8563 Me shallow? If that amazes you take a look at a mirror and you will see"Shallow" staring at you!
Not amazed but as expected I very much enjoyed them I love the sounds of old engines and machines...
steam tractors were done by ton
Would not care for the steam tractor in a bushfire area.
👍
WHY des it "gallop" idle ?
When a diesel starts the throttle is wide open. when it starts the governor pulls the speed back to idle. if the speed drops too low the governor opens the throttle. speed increases too much and governor pulls it back again... over and over. just a poorly adjusted governor or worn linkages.
Cheese

А один цилиндр - вообще лучше всех!
Two strokes may e good, but emission standards killed them.
Why are we seeing this
I don't know,but I like it
@sababhossain3294 Because we can.
What a question!
Because they sound and look wonderful
"Startup sounds" I didn't hear even one of 'em start.
I heard the 10-20 and the rd 35 start up so far
Sorry, not amazed.
23:15 good god people, bolt your shit down before people get hurt, this is like the 3rd or 4th engine in this vid that wasnt bolted down
Sorry, not amazed.
