It’s a travesty that he is not in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame 🌟 he’s 82 in June this year and is still singing as he was back in the 60’s. He’s amazing and puts the soul, passion and emotion into every song he sings 🤩
Tom can sing anything! His power, pitch perfection, and emotive power all take whatever he is singing and turn it into a musical experience. He makes you feel what he's singing and talks right to you as if to say "you know exactly what I'm talking about." Tom is a legend among legends.
Tom Jones came from a mining community in Wales and became an international star in the 60s, being the British “Elvis” in terms of hip swinging sex appeal and powerful singing. They were also friends. Watch the live video of Treat Her Right to see his appeal to the ladies, or Delilah for another power ballad.
Thank you young man for appreciating us older generation music. Don't see that too much anymore. Anyway, need I say more Mr Tom Jones Gives me goose bumps each time I hear his voice. Back then no auto tune just pure raw talent
When his show was on I my twin sister and great-grandmother wouldn't miss one granny loved him at this time she was 67 years old Tom was our Man .💖💯💖🥰🙏 and you can see we are black ,it didn't matter the Man could sing .
Yeah, he has a great voice, that's why he had his own TV show. I loved watching him and yes, his music was on the radio. Check out another of his broken heart songs called Delilah.
I was 15 when Tom sang this song , women actually through their panties at him 😁😂 I know crazy. Tom came from the same place in Wales as my mom .He is over 80 and his voice is still incredible. Great reaction loved it thank you ❤UK
I have grown up with Tom Jones and I still love him to this day . He's just as strong a singer as when he started. And you did a great justice to him.❤
To add to my previous comment below, Tom Ana’s also had hits in the 80, 90s and 2000s . He has won a Grammy and a British version of a Grammy and had a recent number 1 album in the UK. He is been on theUK version of The Voice for several years and often sings duets on it. To cap it all off, he was knighted by the Queen for his contribution to music and is now SIR Tom Jones.
Great reaction to this amazing Welsh singer. Tom is a coal miner’s son who had many hits in the mid 60s an 70s. He also had his own TV show from 1969 to 71 and had all the greats on it. He had duets with Stevie Wonder, Ray Charles, Sammy Davis Jr., Wilson Pickett, Ella Fitzgerald, Little Richard, Cher, Jerry Lee Lewis, and many more. He sings many genres including, PoP, R &B, Soul, Country, ballads or up tempo
My mum told me this story. She was driving with her stepfather in London back in the 60's and they almost hit Tom Jones as he dodged through traffic at Picadilly Circus. lol
PATRICK THANK YOU I HAVE BEEN TRYING TO PUT THIS MAN OUT THERE.. ( GREEN GREEN GRASS OF HOME) TRY DO HIS LATE SIXTIES. HIM AND ELVIS HUNG OUT A LITTLE. TWO OF MY FAVORITES. OH I HAVE MORE..LOVE FROM THE OLD LADY !💫💫💫💫💫
Great Reaction!! Yes Sir Tom can still belt out a song. I believe he had his 80th birthday recently, I could be wrong but I know he is for sure at least 80. Him and Elvis were in a fun kind of competition over the years. But yes this man had and has the strongest voice and so incredibly clear. Thanks for this reaction. I loved watching the expressions on your face. Thanks so much.🥰🥰🥰
No one reacts to stuff before this,he is a great blues artist and that was my favourite, when he became more popular and more main stream he didn’t do as much blues..
Not an excuse but in the sixties and seventies we had soooooo many fantastic singers, bands, but Tom was very popular!! I recommend you find a sixties and seventies station and listen to it non stop for a couple of weeks just to hear the shear numbers of performers and styles! And of course amazing ( no auto tune) voices!
What is really interesting to me is that the son of the man who wrote that song for Tom Jones showed up on the Voice one day. They got talking and Sir Tom Jones actually sang that song with him or with him playing it. I am not sure but you could check into it if you are interested. ;-) Have a great day.
The song was written, & recorded by Lonnie Donegan in 1962. Tom Jones wasn't even called Tom Jones until 1963!! Tom Jones didn't record his first solo disc until 1964. Lonnie Donegan offered him this song to record, in 1967, once he had become a successful singer. But, he most assuredly did NOT write it FOR Tom Jones, however much success he had with it, or how it became known as a 'Tom Jones' song! It was written BEFORE Tom Jones was even called Tom Jones FFS!!

I love first time shock when they hear the first few notes. Please react to live performances of I Who Have Nothing, Someday and Try A Little Tenderness from Tom's 1960s TV show.
Watch him singing in his 80s on the best of Tom Jones on THE VOICE UK. Our Voice audience is always trying to get Sir Tom to sing. Our Voice is much more free and anarchic than the other versions. So much more fun too.
Well let me tell you something. This song was played over and over in radio. My mom was in love with this guy and I see why. I was born and raised in Panama and we heard Tom Jones's songs then.
Sir Tom is an absolute legend. I saw him a years ago at Foxwoods Casino and he was amazing. Old classics/New songs. His voice was incredible! He and Elvis were great friends. Sir Tom and Shirley Bassey are both from Wales and both can belt it out of the park! React to She’s A Lady and Delilah!!! ❤❤

From lovely little Wales, land of song. Try also from Wales Shirley Bassey, e.g aged 74 singing Goldfinger in 2011
