Oh, my goodness! My little 8-year-old heart just fell completely in love with him when I saw this performance back in the day. He was the most beautiful grown man I had ever seen at that time!
Wow, his voice brings back some incredible childhood memories.
Saw him 14 times in concert during his prime ( yes, I'm old ! ) ... trust me , the man can sing and move !!! Try " Treat Her Right " to see his fun side ... he was good friends with Elvis ... still is in contact with Priscilla today . What a voice ... and not difficult to look at either !!
Lucky you
I love that you let the whole song play through and you don’t keep stopping it! Thank you so much. Love you guys ❤️
It makes me feel so proud to watch you both listening to Toms rendition of Never Gonna Fall in Love Again. You looked like you were in heaven which is how I feel when I listen to this song. I was 3 when it came out and I wanted my mother to play it all day. Im 58 now and still love it. I dont like all of his songs, but there are a lot that I do. Im also part Welsh and so I am deeply proud of him as all Welsh people are. He had an absolutely amazing voice and really felt his songs deeply. Check more out. You will be amazed.
I absolutely adore Tom Jones he was amazing in his songs my mother loved him I loved him we used to listen to him a lot when I was growing up I’m in my 60s now and he still is one of my favorites
Another powerful, live singer. NO autotune needed.
Love Tom! We listened to his albums every Saturday while we cleaned the house growing up! Engelbert Humperdinck was another of my mom's crushes. His best was "Last Waltz".
My mom's favorite by Englebert was, 'Am I That Easy To Forget.'
@@tahliasgoddaddy yes! Great song...actually I loved all of his songs.....
So did I. At least all I've heard.
My mother loved those two guys also, and later Mac Davis as well. I think most mothers did. 😏
My Mom’s favorites Tom Jones .. Engelbert..Johnny Mathis❤️ She had great taste!
Great reaction guys - now you know why the ladies absolutely loved Tom Jones! He's in his 80's now and still going strong.
I like that ya'll dont stop the song and save your comments after the song is over.
Most of his songs stood unchallenged by other singers because he made each song he sang the GOLD standard for that song.
If you haven't done "Treat Her Right" and "Raise your Hand" with Janis Joplin, you must check them out. Love your energy!
Both are a must, the live versions!
He has had a residency in las vagas.
He was a freind of Elvis
The thing about this song and about Tom is…he could deliver an upbeat melody and yet it still breaks your heart. He was very unique in that way.
Tom Jones - my mother's "go to" for a drunken singing session! Got to admit, the guy is an amazing vocalist!
I used to watch the Tom Jones variety hour back in the day with my mom, and yes.... he is one if the best singers EVER. So much to explore with him.
I'm a Brit and I saw him live in the UK in Saffron walden and he still belts out beauties at 82
Absolutley fabulous
One of my all time favs no one was better than Tom, he’s still able to sing well today. Thanks for this special treat! Good vibes and much love ❤️🤗🙏
Tom Jones is great, also check out Steve Perry (Journey) from 1989 Houston concert...fantastic!
I met this legendary man in the late 60's when he and his entourage came into my mom's restaurant after one of his shows. I miss the old days of autotune. I think the company went out of buisness. I believe it was named raw pure talent...
As a matter a fact Zak, you're a hundred percent right. I couldn't agree more and I wish the young kids could get back into the raw talent business and if they could mix a little Motown and UpTown in, and kinda back off on the bad attitude mean faced look, I know they could change the world to a better more enjoyable place.
Great story
Did you mean no auto tune? Because there was none.
@@judybrannen Yes, it was pure sarcasm.
No Zak - there is hope. You really need to check out Angelina Jordan - live performances online since she was 6; won Norway's Got Talent - the adult show - at age 8, now aged 16. Also see Diana Ankudinova and Danieliya Tuleshova, both great too.
I love Tom Jones and he is definitely one of my favorite singers. I have seen him in person a couple of times and he held the room captive with his incredible voice and charisma. He almost didn't need a microphone, his voice reached through the whole theater and then some. Then there is his sex appeal, I have said this before, but those ladies in the audience were staring and him like they were on a diet and he was a hot fudge sundae!
Tom Jones is one of the great talents of the ages.
The time period was 60's, 70's, 80's......He was 24 yrs of age when he recorded, it's not unusual. He still sings very well today and he's 81 now
I love Tom Jones! This is one of my favs that he does. On ability he certainly deserves to be on a best voice list. I don't always like his song choices, but I really love his voice.
He was only 27 when he sang this, he's now 83 and can still sing anyone out of the room! ,😮❤❤❤ Born 7th June 1940!
This is what i call a singer... You Can feel the passion and the emotion when he sings... This is awesome 👏👍
He's got the pipes and can tear uour heart out when he sings.
Great artist and I appreciate y’alls authentic response!! Tom could flat out sing!
That's The Welsh Wailer! Wales is known as "The Land Of Song" and in his early days Tom had his voice training in some of the many choirs in Wales. I'm proud of my Welsh ethnicity.
And well you should be!
@@jeffharry9675 The 70% Welsh part of me thanks you.
@@barnowl5774 The 100% Finnish part of me stares down at my shoes in shy humility.
@@jeffharry9675 Well at least you are a 100%er so you know your ethnicity. In the latest Ancestry update I found that I'm more of a mixture than I thought I was. My full-blood brother even has some Scandinavian- Sweden and Norway! I want some of that! Sorry, no Finnish ... yet. After all that, I was born and bred in Australia.
@@barnowl5774 Australia, meaning your ancestors can over on prison ships, right? Sick joke by now, correct? Harry was my step-father's last name. I was a product of a Dorffi and a Salmela. Finland, the land of ice, saunas, and bad folk tunes. God bless Nightwish, however. Tuomas Holopainen is a damned musical genius.
Tom Jones can really “sang”. If you want more of Tom, please try Delilah and Treat her Right. So catchy - he has to have one of the most powerful voices in rock.
He is amazing! And that sung live. They don't sound like that anymore. He's a legend!
Tom has the most powerful n beautiful voice ever. He's just the greatest ever.
Tom Jones is now 83 years young and still sounds as good today as he did in the 50s-60s. And as you say well able to interpret the feelings and emotions of others in the songs he sings. Great singer all around.
*The look on Tasha's face while Tom was singing was priceless*
*You really should check out Tom &Janis Joplin "Raise Your Hands" I promise you won't be disappointed* *Great reaction*
*PEACE*
Watched your reaction a few times, now. Love watching the joy in both of your faces. Awesome to see how much the two of you loved it. God bless.
I think this is one of the best performances in the history of mankind......
You have both understood this artist, and couldn’t have interpreted it better! Tom is Brilliant and a man of the 60s era!
A vocal masterclass by the great Sir Tom Jones. Truly gifted and still singing now age 80 and mentoring on The Voice UK
