I'm sorry, but Critic gradually building up to a return cameo from Lindsey, only to have her flatly say, "No," and immediately move on, was pretty funny.
Who?
@@TheALPHA1550 nostalgia chicks name is Lindsay
Why are you sorry?
Yes I completely agree daftoptimist
She looks thic

+Catzilla Yeah, that's what I thought I heard.
I also heard it, lol that part was funny
+Catzilla that's what i hear and i was like, WAIT WHAT?!?!?!? What has been heard can not be unheard....
+Catzilla isnt that kids commercial?
+Johann Schmidt// Red Skull It's from a real cereal commercial and that's the original audio. I'm pretty sure the singers are actually saying, "shapes" but they don't enunciate the word clearly. :)
Am I the only one that heard it as
"Fruity Marshmallow Krispies, lots of fruity marshmallow shits"?
nope
UA-cam heard it too
I also heard it
Or I'm crazy
It may sound like that but the line is Shapes
Dvader134 No shit?
1:58 I thought I heard them say "lots fruity marshmallow shit" XD
Same here
Me too! Lol!

@@simonj3413 He's a goanna, a type of monitor lizard related to the Komodo dragon.
Thats not what the falcon thought at the first movie anyway Lol
To be fair, this may be the best movie about easily distracted fairies out there.
Can't really argue with that.
Ah yes. That incredibly popular trope in film. This movie really did come out on top.
I’m pretty sure they’re showing that entertainment draws our attention away from the clear destruction we cause to the environment
@@mr.ltrenchcoat1627 That would imply that the screen writers knew what they were doing
They could've used Navi to keep them focused.
"Look!"
"Listen!"
"Watch out!"
To answer Doug's question at the beginning, the first Ferngully was a box office success
Jinx Productions and sadly it fell victim to the insufferable 90s trend of making cheap sequels that completely lost grasp of the originals message. We're back there again in 2018, god help us
@Pyxlup Goheen 😂😂👍🏽
Wait really?
I saw the first one in theaters.
I’m sorry 😐
I was 12 🤷🏻♂️
@marianne mccrank which in most cases that's how a series goes to die... and idk how much they thought they could make in the first place! yes Ferngully was successful but only 7.7 million more than it's initial budget, plus whatever they made on the VHS tapes.
Is... Pips voiced by the guy who did Link in the Zelda cartoon??? I can just hear that voice say "excuuuuse me Chrysta!"
Even funnier is that Pips and CD-i Link share the same haircut.
You've actually genuinely piqued my interest. I'm gonna research it and not tell anyone. Muahaha. :)
Oh my gosh they do
I just checked, nope. Completely different va’s.
@@amarikristopher8409 oh, huh, the more you know
funny thing is
Fires are part of nature
how dry was that "Rainforest?"
it burned faster than a wildfire in a drought.
Yeah, lots of scary shit is technically part of nature.
It's Australia. Eucalyptus trees.
Yeah and mass extinctions are part of nature too. So i guess its totally fine if we induce one.
Ironically enough death is part of nature even more so, but for some reason its against the law to simply kill people with degenerated logic.
It's Australia. Everything's out to kill you.
Technically, Hexxus was an aspect of nature, too, just a destructive one that went too far.
...But seriously that rainforest went up like a pyromaniac wearing hairspray.
16:27 That's like....the most fake scream I've ever heard. You're falling off a cliff and about to die voice actress! How about a bit more fear and peril in that shriek there?!
Ah, Aaaaaaah. Sounds more like she's singing.
What do you expect from a failed clown?
lmao
It reminds me of the scream when you fall in Silent hill 3.
Wait...that wasn't the critic making fun of her?

The possibilities are practically endless at this point (Smurfs 2, Inspector Gadget 2, Scooby Doo 2: Monsters Unleashed, Sharknado 2, Fantastic 4 2: Rise of the silver surfer, and of course, Tentacolino (the sequel to that shitty titanic movie with the talking dolphins).
+Alex Greggary I approve that idea
+Alex Greggary THIS NEEDS TO HAPPEN
yes... YEASSS MUHAHAHAAHAA
I agree
+Alex Greggary This needs to happen!!!!!
The movie would have been better if they skipped the poacher plot and just had it where Pip and his gang got bored and ran away to the city while Batty and Crysta try to bring them back.
Kind of like the first
Rashuanu that would be a much better film altogether
Only thing that could been good if they brought Robin Williams back as Batty

I read this at the exact same time that it played
Pips and Christa are Link and Zelda from the Zelda animated series, reincarnated as slightly less interesting fairies.
Or maybe Sprite actually managed to get "somewhere" with Link.

heck if people laugh at deez nuts, why not about this?
Stating your problem is the first step to recovery.
To be fair, it seems like the kind of joke that would be actually funny if delivered by Actual Robin Williams, as opposed to Not Robin Williams.
It's a terrible joke
5:48 “What, in his butt?” Classic but hilarious.
Wait a minute, critic you missed something: WHAT ABOUT THE OTHER ANIMALS?! You left them hanging on a cliff and never came back to them?!
6:16 MAH BAEBEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Killer Kirby MAH BOI!!
That bit with the guys and NC having fun while the animals suffer cracks me up every time.
13:29 Ah, she said, "afwaid" instead of afraid to make her sound more helpless.
After that, I heard, "I just want a girl up in my bed"!
Lol!
To add insult to injury, there actually IS a voice actor that can do a spot-on Robin Williams impression: Jim Meskimen
Rescuers Down Under did this much better.
Lishadra at least they didn’t sound british
Lishadra Rescuers Down Under is the best direct to video sequel ever, like it’s good enough that when I first saw it on tv I didn’t know it was a direct to video sequel, thought it was its own movie and THEN found out there was a first one.
Joe Silverstein it actually was theatrical but it didn’t perform very well at the box office
L Gaines ohhh that explains it. It’s still an amazing sequel:)
Yeah, unlike this movie, Rescuers Down Under has a well-told story, very likeable characters, GORGEOUS animation, and it's clear that the people working on it put their damnedest into it, and turned out a decent family adventure movie.
Sometimes I wish nostalgia critic would remake some of his older episodes, because it would be really intresting to see how he views them now and what he would do for the videos.
make batty's voice deeper, little more drunk, add some burps and.... XD You got Rick from Rick and Morty. lol
Crysta... *buuurp* w-we have to save the rainforest Crysta.
ReasyRandom I don't know batty. Is it really okay for us to shrink humans?
CrazyTuff and co. Crysta....I honestly don't *BELCH*ing care. Just...just do it already.
Y'know what, Chrysta? Why don't you just face the f*cking *burp* truth, huh? Why don't you just open up your *burp* eyes and realise that the rainforest is boned, nothing matters and we're all gonna *belch* die?
I could never force myself to watch the sequel even after all these years. Ferngully is too sacred to me to tarnish.
I have a family friend who played the voice of the dogs this this movie, he doesn't talk about it much
Ha!
+EVOLUTIONARY LAKEMAN yeah
Joey Hollywood Films What is his name?
Seriously?
7:46 For some strange reason Crysta's eyes are blue in this movie, while her eyes were green in the first movie. It's not the only time a character that use to have green eyes to now having blue eyes, that happened to Esmeralda in The Hunchback of Notre Dame 2.
When an animation budget is cut you have to save money. Green is more expensive than blue. It's why animation shows will sometimes avoid tertiary colours in extreme amounts because $$$. Yes I'm aware your comment is a year old, but I felt the urge to answer

"She could probably touch an impotent person and make wood grow!" LOL!
Actually the Australian ecosystem RELY'S on fire, everything grows back faster and lusher after every fire season.
Nobody researched this movie, if they did the ... pixie's? would accept and even look forward to the fires.
the fire technically makes fertilizer
Isn't that in the bush though not the rainforest?
@@lennydale92 If there are banksia trees, then the fire is required to let them release seeds. Not to mention the broken and burned vegetation is some of the few places smaller marsupials can survive and hide from predatory birds.
So, yeah, its extremely key to our wildlife here. All of our wildlife.
@@lennydale92 No shit.. rain-forest fires do fuck all unless its precipitated by a long drought
It is interesting that a forest fire seems to be the only way a pinecone can release their seeds. Sure they can be thrown in a fire pit but that's somehow only good for aroma purposes
That random clip of Jack's lament shoved in is so funny; it's such a difference in creative output compared to Ferngully 2
"Funner than the funest fun..." Wow, I can write better lyrics in my sleep.

What a song this song must be
Because it’s a song
Dumber than the dumbest dumb....shitier than shitiest shit....sequelier than sequeliest sequel....
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
17:19 I bet that was intentional. I bet the whole reason they even introduced a CIRCUS FAMILY in a movie about a MAGICAL RAINFOREST was because they wanted to set up a sneaky Aristocrats joke for the parents.
7:11 "She could possibly touch an impotent person and make wood grow!"
I just wanted to hear that joke again. :)
I thought that person's performance was wooden to begin with.
"boys we just found ourselves some action!" *Zooms in on the guy's ass"
Me: *laughing* I don't think they thought that through. *stops laughing* Or did they?
want him to do tinker bell moives
too many.
They're not that bad. Nice animation, fun ideas, a creative world. The winter one was really cool. Idk I like them...
True, the Tinkerbell movies aren't bad at all, just simple colorful fun. They aren't great, and do have certain flaws, but they are cute.
Still, I'd love to see him review one. :)
he need to do them all in different verwings
Honestly, I watched them all on a whim and they were pretty entertaining. Characters were engaging (if a little flanderized as time went on), there was clearly a lot of love put into the movies on the part of the creators (which makes the indefinite hiatus a little sad, actually) and that one movie about the Neverbeast legitimately made me cry.
Also I was amused by the "Secret Wings" one making a reference to Frozen before Frozen had even come out.
Ferngully is pretty popular... Ever 90s kid i know talks about it.
+TheGobberShop You're joking right?
My opinion doesnt matter
No kid born in 2000s im not joking. People above the age of 25 dug this movie and still talk about it and Tim Curry's performance.
+TheGobberShop Okay, put Time Curry's voice into anything and it becomes awesome, other then that one one song, the film is painfully dull, and yes I'm a 90dies kid.
Mr.Northwind
Yet it hasnt faded away and is brought up when ever someone talks about Avatar.
Either way, never said the movie was good.. just that it is popular with my generation.
TheGobberShop
Same generation my friend, and yes it is popular for some unknowable, Lovecraftian reason...
"She could touch an impotent person and make wood grow".... And the winner of best line in a UA-cam video goes to...... Nostalgia Critic and the Ferngully 2 review!!!!
MAI BAYBEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE
Is it just me or did the animation quality go down after the first film, the quality looks more choppy and slow. What happend ?
smaller budget
Same with Aladdin 2
I agree with marianne
So, villain in first movie: evil toxic waste demon that turns into a giant black skeleton and is voiced by Tim Curry. Villain in this movie... lameass cliché poacher character.
Alondro77 imagine if Hexxus actually managed to escape. That would be an epic movie especially if he got another spirit of destruction like an unnatural poison spirit that originated from the water, since Hexxus seemed to be linked to air pollution, so why not water pollution?
@@zooemperor3954 OMG THAT WOULD'VE BEEN SO FUCKING AWESOME CAN YOU IMAGINE THE SUPERVILLIAN TEAMUP POTENTIAL
@@zooemperor3954 i would've much rather seen that then what this mess was

Deerly Queery I did. I do not recommend it either
You know, ignoring how impossible the bat catching the girl is, she's gotta be getting the wedgie from hell since he caught her by the seat of her pants.

*I JUST WANT A GIRL UP IN MY BEEEEED!*
AND NOW TO RUIN THE FUN! *curl. I'M A HERO EVERYBODY! :>
Albus Kane What are you talking about?
Your what?
Albus Kane are you new to English?
What Albus means is that the small animal says that he wants to curl up in his bed, not that he wants a girl.
MAN those songs are atrocious!
What kind of name is "Budgie" anyway?
+Matthew Walton Australians like putting "-ie" on the end of monosyllabic words. Just something they do a lot.
It's the name of an Australian bird species
So... Pip is '' rescuing '' baby animals who got stolen by a hunter while Crysta is doing nothing? The producers of this sequel really didn't watched the first movie. Pip was not complaining a lot in the original, he was jealous of Zack and likes to follow Crysta everywhere. Now he's lazy and easily distracted? Yeah sure X)
If Crysta would rescue the baby animals and fighting Hexuss, that would be awesome... and a better movie than what we got too! I want to heard Tim Curry again, he's an amazing voice actor and singer. Hexuss had a cool design especially his squeletton form at the end of the film. He was smart and manipulative, big and intimidating. I want to see him in a sequel not a boring hunter!
1:53

6:26 australia right now
17:00 Well that's pretty embarrassing for our main heroes. XD
10:48 He's a goanna, not an iguana. Its a type of monitor lizard, the same kind of lizard as the Komodo dragon. Iguanas are mainly vegetarian.
Probably a joke jab on himself when he thought the Nostalgia Chick was saying it was an alligator for the Big-Lipped Alligator Moment!
I loved ferngully as a child
17:58 Wow. He's been in captivity for days and the first thing he asks is what's for dinner. All thow now that I think about it I'd probably do the same thing.
For the Fruity Marshmallow Krispies joke at the beginning, am I the only one who hears “Lots of fruity marshmallow shit”?
I did too
4:20 I would imagine Bruce Campbell would shoot that 2 Dimensional Villain without being jealous of that chin!
+TheCelticPerspective Groovy!
+The Cinematic Mind nice, "it was never meant for the world of the living" said Bruce Campbell to this movie
+TheCelticPerspective I needed that
3:59 Man!
wow, I had no idea ferngully ever had a sequel.
All these years later, and I only now finally recognized why Batty's new voice in this movie sounded familiar...
Matt K Miller (the voice of Batty in The Magical Rescue), was also the dubbed voice of Tenchi Masaki in most of the Tenchi Muyo series!
I guess bill collectors force you into some desperate acting situations, don't they?
Sometimes I Hate Being Human
Doug asks why Crysta didn't shrink the poacher like she did to Zack, but to be fair, that was an accident in the first place. She meant to say 'fairy sight' so she could communicate with him or he could see her for what she was, but she flubbed it and said 'size'.
Plus I thought he didn't finish his thought there because he was pointing out the flaw in both films. But after watching it today I figured out what the flaw was she should have shrunken both Zack and the poacher just to kill them. Which probably would not help.
By the way I bravely watched the movie, for curiosity sake especially to answer the question on what fairy sight was. Because while it helped Batty go from an attacker to friendly he did point out the end about how he shrunk. Very confusing 😁
I like Ferngully, yes the movie has its problems, but there is also some good to be found in it. With the second movie I can't seem to find anything good and just don't care about what is going on.
Me too
What I don't understand, is why they made a second move. Since some where down the rode people seem to have forgotten the art of the stand alone film. Come to think of it I don't think that Critic has talked about that yet.
Still sad Doug didn't call the big chined poacher "Diet McLeach" (the poacher from Rescuers Downunder).
Granted the villains were incredibly stupid during this chase scene, but if they took her off the other end had the stopped, she would have just jumped back on again when he went back to his seat to drive again
Even though I never seen this and the first film, I will admit the the 1st Ferngully movie is probably way better and its not really so bad compared to this weird sequel.
I know all of this might sound stupid, but I'm just explaining my opinion right now.
Who the hell names their daughter, Budgy?!
Wait...I thought humans couldnt see the fairies..that's why Crysta tried to "bless his heart with magic light, I give the gift of fairy sight"..but accidentally said size and shrunk zach instead.
Apparently the producers of this abomination never heard the word continuity or else they would respect this important detail. They didn't care about that, the animation or the villain.
I just realized a problem with critic's logic at 16:00- if he got out to take the girl off his truck, there would be nothing to keep her from just hopping back on again :o
18:54 "HOOOOOOOO-" LMFAO!
2:19 best part
“That was like the kangaroo version of Platoon.” 😂
17:24
