  • A 10-mile circular hike on the edge of the Peak District from Ambergate via Black Rocks and Highpeak Junction.
Having parked up in Ambergate it was a steady walk and climb over to Alderwasley through woodlands and pasture with a view across to the Crich Monument. Then a road walk which wasn't unpleasant giving views of the Radio Tower near Black Rocks and Wirkesworth in the valley below.
A sharp but short ascent soon found me at the trig point and then around to the impressive Black Rocks, taking a break for a while to take in the views.
Then it was down to the High Peak Trail, a busy but beautiful stroll taking in incline which heads steeply down to the Highpeak Junction and its museum and kiosk, a coffee and a local Bakewell Slice re-energized me for the stead 4 miles past the Leawood Pump House and Cromford Canal all the way back to Ambergate.
    Filmed on a Pixel 7 & DJI Mini 3.
    Edited in Wondershare Filmora 13.
    Music from Epidemic Sounds.

Nice to see you back striding away. Drone gives a new perspective though I enjoyed your hard slogs 😂. I wish I had some of these flat roads for my trike.
