NYC Gets Worse... Shoplifters Raid Another Target
- Target has a shoplifting problem so bad, they're now instructing their staff to prevent thefts of $50 or more... which might be tough to implement in NYC where stealing more than that is a non jail able offense. Either way theft is so bad and law enforcement so lax, that retailers have to try something to get ahead of these thieves.

NYC barring Walmart from opening stores in the city may have been a blessing in disguise for Walmart.
Yea, they dodged that … projectile.
Was just thinking the real winner is Walmart lol
Wouldn't that have been a sight?
Wal-Mart actually did a SMART thing by opening its stores just outside the NYC boundary. All the Long Island communities that border Queens all have a Wal-Mart. The one in Valley Stream has a rear parking lot that actually just crosses the border into Queens (Rosedale). The other two - Hillside Ave in New Hyde Park and Northern Blvd in Great Neck are both less than a quarter mile from the Queens border.
And there are 3 more WM's in Nassau County - Uniondale, Westbury, and Levittown.
And there are at least two more right across the Bronx/ Westchester border in Mt. Vernon and Yonkers as well.
The lack of looter diversity is most disturbing!!

Ten tweede.

Who in their right mind would do that? You're gonna get spit on, beaten, tased, stabbed, slashed, stuck with a dirty needle, and/or shot. Nah. You'll get unemployment if the store closes, you will get fired and get no unemployment if you don't "confront a shoplifter" because it's now "in the job description". If they injure you they'll fight the worker's comp claim tooth and nail because "yes we told them to confront shoplifters, but not like that" and every court everywhere will side with them. Simple. Bring back the Guiliani era idea of getting tough on crime. And get away from this idea that shoplifting is just a minor offense. We need to resuscitate the Broken Window theory of crime again.
"Guiliani" The same Guiliani that just got disbarred? The one that was in Borat 2 trying to have sex with a minor? That Guiliani?
The fundamental flaw in Broken Window Theory is that damaged and neglected properties are a TRAILING indicator of crime. Municipalities LOVED Broken Windows because it gave legions of code enforcement officers the power to go after the easy target of property owners and rake in massive fines and fees, and gave an appearance that they were "Taking Action" all while IGNORING the much more difficult and costly underlying problem of unaccountable hard criminals and thugs.
You can't! DAS RACIST!
Fun fact for the ignorants. There's less crime in NYC today compared to the Guiliani era. I sure dont want to go back to the 90s crime. No, thank you!🤦🏾♂

It's not, all these big companies are insured against monetary loss from theft
@@billyshakespeare488I worked loss prevention. This is true. They just care about looking like they care about theft. The only issue is that these insurance policies allow a certain amount before they can’t cover any more losses. The ones who did get caught while a police e officer was near was the unlucky bastard as maybe 1 in 100 thieves faced consequences. The issue is these cities don’t prosecute theft so there’s no point in even attempting to put employees lives at risk.
Which is what these government clowns want
@@reyman011 no point in prosecuting as it's a waste of its under 1000 and this person was already destitute. and no point in actually caring from the companies perspective because they will still get paid from insurance. no point from the manufacturer because they already got paid. Shouldn't we be more focused on getting people off the street so they don't need to steal?
They don't care. Their race is npc
Target workers don’t get paid enough to risk their safety for 50 bucks.
With the pay the CEOs and benefits get a year I think they can afford to pay for good security but they would rather put that burden on the employees instead and risk their life.
