- The Ford Crown Victoria or “Crown Vic” is an American icon in the automotive world. The first generation of the Ford Crown Victoria was introduced in 1979 but in this video, we’re going to focus on the 1991-2011 model and more specifically, the EN114 Crown Victoria that came out in 1998.

America discontinued this car because it was classified as a clunker...but America produces SUV's that get worse gas milage that this car ever did...
America bring back this car please
This car iz a legend
Ralph Abreu the problem with bringing it back is that there no longer is a market for it
@@fargonianproductions2767
Bring it back
There's a market
I and a least 100 people I know who are interested in cars that are truly full size and are extremely reliable
Not the garbage that is made today
Ralph Abreu ha, you think that just because you and a few thousand other people who want a modern day car would make it viable to relaunch and design a new Crown Victoria? Not a chance.
They got rid of it because it's too reliable
I wonder if they ever remake the crown Victoria?
Can you redesign the current Suzuki Vitara?
Love it!
PLEASE RE-DESIGN THE 1987 BUICK GRAND NATIONAL!
Who else thinks that he should redesign the interiors as well
Me
That would be significantly harder.
An 8 inch touch screen, manual climate, front auto windows, 10 way powered drivers, 4 way powered front passenger seats, rear vents, vinyl seats, 6 speaker sound system, key start, and vinyl floors in the most stripped down model for police and Taxis. Adaptive cruise control and automatic emergency braking as standard features. At least you are getting more features than a 40,000 dollar Silverado 1500. Powertrain dual 3 phase AC synchronous motors for 400 hp and 70 kWh battery. Around 32K dollar base price. Going up one trim level gives you premium cloth, dual zone auto climate, drivers seat memory, blindspot monitoring, lane keep assist, 12 speaker Sony sound system, and optional open pilot powered by comma AI.
Yes
Me it would be hard tho
"It would become a Taurus and we don't want that for this redesign"
*adds Taurus wheels*
I was thinking that exact same thing. Glad someone already said it so I didn't have to make myself look stupid by saying it again.
at least they're Ford wheels this time. he put SRT wheels on in the first vid.
Literaly read this as he said that lol
The tail-lights look like the tail-lights of the rolls-royce ghost/wraith, and thats a good thing
From someone that has a Ghost, even though the outer tail lamps are similar, I kind of disagree. Those taillights looks exactly like a modern version of 95-99 Oldsmobe 88, a vehicle I used to drive as a beater in middle/high school.
@@PanameraTurboSEHybrid from someone that owns a Carrera Vengeance I disagree in a nice way. It looks like a cheaper model of the ghost, for instance it's like Tesla S to a Tesla 3, both are high quality and look similar, and stick to the brands theme but one is on a other level.
In fact the crowns vics rich history is rich.
*ultimate waffle 😉
It actually looks like a Malibu taillights
Looks like a phantom, ghost,or wraith from behind
Honestly keep it the way it looks just put modern technology in it and that would be all we need
Adnan Jakupovic RIGHT
I hate the fact of more tech and computers in vehicles. It makes it so you cant work on them without having a computer and specialized equipment. I'd rather be able to work on a vehicle and fix it myself than have to bring it somewhere and have to pay hundreds upon hundreds for a dealer to "fix" the problem and have it arise again later on. But that's just my view on it.
I'd love to see a very modern car put in one of old eras of car design - the opposite of what you usually do.
Ford made such a huge mistake on getting rid of the panther platform
Captain CJ 97 they actually slapped a $50,000 price tag with a lincoln logo forgot the name

That would be just a soccer ball.
HunzHurte no a vent.
It already exists, it's called "Microlino" and its fking amazing!
@@freshklinki93 I know the microlino exists, but it doesn't have design traits of modern BMWs, just modern cars.
That would be an amazon box
If ford just so happens to bring the vic back, watch them put a 4 cylinder or a v6 in it smh
They better not. They need to put in a coyote in the new Vic's jus saying. People would buy them up fast.
@DARIEL RAMOS wouldn't you be a lil disappointed if chevy put a v6 in the 2020 model corvettes?
It would be supercharged so what?
People think the v6 are fast but they are NOT plus people straight pipe them and it sounds like shit. Now a V8 sounds beautiful straight pipe nothing can beat a V8 noise over a v6.
@DARIEL RAMOS why not a TT V8?
make a redesign for the vaz 2107, I myself think it will be interesting from Russia)))
I own a 2006 cvpi and I highly recommend it for a first car
Cheap, reliable, body on frame chassis, rear wheel drive, V8 and its an ex-cop car... Yup definitely a great first car
Same here mines an 04, cheap if youre easy on the gas, sounds good, fairly fast mines not completely stock though
I live in Toronto... and AWD or FWD is a must :/
@@SF.Automotive I'm in Toronto too. I have an 03 town car with 4 different tires. The front driver side was completely bald all last winter, it finally let go this summer. I've never had a problem in all 4 winters I've owned it that's including a winter where I drove 60km one way to work. It's idiots who don't drive according to road conditions. You really think you need awd in Toronto where we have an army of snowplows?? The roads in winter are pretty good in Canada's biggest city. You think this is bad don't go to Barrie then lol. I'm sorry but people who come here from warm countries can't drive in snow. I blow by them because they are all doin 40kmh in their all wheel drive SUV with winter tires. It's hilarious and frustrating at same time
My first car will be a CVPI and as soon as I get it, I will be starting my UA-cam channel.
The trend I hate among modern cars is the fake exhaust tips, so tacky looking, like if you're going to do a unique exhaust tip make it legit or just don't do it..
The taillights look good, but don’t go with the rest of the car at all, especially the way that the sheet metal overhangs in the back. Adding a rear defuser to a vehicle doesn’t make it modern, some vehicles don’t look right with them (and this is one of them). The Crown Vic was never considered an attractive car, it was simply an utilitarian vehicle, it was neither ugly or especially attractive. It was sold more to police, government offices, taxi companies, rental car companies, and other companies for fleet use.
Next: Crown Vic Interior Redesign 👍
👍
Mike Lear And put the Gas tank cover in the back
I own a Crown Victoria and its such a Sexy and Great car and I wish they nevet discontinued them.
I remember it for being used as police cars and taxis. :)
I SWEAR
Fearless Vlogger up until a week ago I had a grand marquis....smoothest ride I’ve ever had.
Why is it, that you keep putting everything deep inside the body, when redesigning older cars?
now you will notice he never touches the roofline, making the redesign look like a body kit for the original car.
I have always loved the Crown Victoria. So I automatically liked the video.
Please redesign the fiat multiwagon 1.9JTD
I love crown victoria like a classic car not a future car like this :)
That rendering looks like a
Cadi-Lincoln-Charger 😂
If they made a new Crown Victoria I’d buy it 😁
Just looks like an old crown Victoria with LEDs
Odd how updated big US cars end up looking a lot like late 80's, early 90's Oldsmobiles. What could you possibly do with the 1st gen Aurora?
BTW... the "in-between music"... too loud!
beforebefore oh yeah the music is hella loud
Damn I was thinking the same thing! The rear does look like the olds
Kinda reminds you of a Olds Ninety Eight, don't it?

@@RafaelSantos-vd6be LULWUT? The vic up until being fleet only was offered with a leather interior and air ride. It could even be had on the extended wheelbase chassis like a town car. The dash for the CV and GMQ are pretty much the same.
Speaking about the 240, do you realize that you actually made the rear somewhat more similar to an early 240?
(Hittade inte orden riktigt på engelska, men "ramen" runt en insänkt bakstam där bakljusen sitter, så ser det ju ut även på de första årsmodellerna av 240, på sätt och vis)

2020 Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme Re-design
Ford needs to make a production run for police department use. Redesign the fuel tank with fuel cell features. Add the Mustang GT engine, improve the chassis, add stronger safety glass and kevlar armor for the doors, firewall and rear wall. Add a 5 way camera system with displays and a collision warning system for use when in traffic stops. It could set off a special light and siren if the unit is about to be hit from behind.
Redesign the "Family Truckster" from national lampoon's vacation. Now that would be a challenge. Would love to see that, it'd be fun.
speaking of ford's "new edge" design language, can you redesign the AU ford Falcon?
Well, speaking of the 240, modernize that. Or, make Santa's sleigh as a car.
Id like to see you make a futuristic version of the 1979-89 chevy caprice classic
If you live in NYC, who remembers when the Crown Vic was literally everywhere?
There's more to modern cars than silly straight lines that completely ignore the rest of the car...
If drive this for sure! I'd just add air Suspension and a lip wing on the back
الوحش 🥺❤️
Yeah ford needs to bring this back it's such a nice car and a police icon
I feel like his redesigns mainly just consist of adding LED lights......
And taking a convex front or rear end and making it concave.
This wasn't a redesign, more like a restyling.
as the crown vic godfather...i dont know how i feel about this...i think the original crown vic design is one of those rare ones that will look good no matter what year it is....it went unchanged for 20 years and still looks mean/elegant
Choice of rims is questionable.
The door handle situation is interesting.. 🤔
Tesla style.
Electric body with a 5.5 L V8 Quad-Turbo 👌🏻
@@douglaslane6184 shining matt polish
@@hunzhurte Teslas have visible door handles.. The cutouts are quite visible
It's sad this car has been discontinued. It's even more sad that they will never revive it. Even if they reuse the name on a future car meant to be called a "Crown Victoria" (and/or Town Car) it will certainly be a disappointment to car enthusiasts everywhere. It won't be as big, it won't be as easy to work on, it won't be body-on-frame, it won't look anything like the cars we knew and loved, and it will probably be electric. In fact, it would probably be something more deserving of a Taurus nameplate. That is if they ever decide to revive the name at all... ever. I think it's best they don't unless it comes back looking similar to this.
Ford always does this. They get rid of it when it becomes too reliable. RIP 4.6
I sure loved My 2008 Crown Victoria. It would be awesome if they were to bring it back, same big O’l Vic, but with new technology
next video well be Ford Crown Vic police interceptor Re-design
I have a 2011 CVPI right now with 212375 miles. Formerly owned by the Texas Department of Public Safety. Not a squeak or rattle anywhere in it. I was lucky enough to have bought this one that the state had just put four brand new Firestone high speed pursuit tires on it. I've owned quite a few of these cars. And you are right, they are pretty much bullet proof. They were never the fastest car on the road, but would keep on ticking. To be honest, I found the weak points on this car is the power window motors, and the alternators. I had an 08 that required two alternators. Several electric window motors have gone out.
All over all, they are the car to own for just plain good transportation.
I currently drive a mint condition 1992 Buick Roadmaster sedan with a 350 / 5.7L but I have always wanted a Grand Marquis/Marauder or Crown Victoria. I would buy this redesign in a heartbeat.
I USED TO OWN A CAR LIKE THIS CAR..
IT WAS ONE THE GREATEST CAR I HAVE EVER HAD.
Finally the rear design, waited so long for this.
Can you do a modern day Datsun 240z or Toyota GT2000?
Does every car have to have floating LEDS? Idk do i just see this
Bruh, I'm lost for words. It turned out amazing. Ford better hire you, if they haven't already.
Make a grand marquis redisign, greetings from Mexico
How to modernize a car: LIGHTBAR. Smh
Sorry man, keep the original design please. Maybe change the front and sides a bit. Can't mess with a legend. look at what they did with the mustang. Although 2020 looks beastly but nothing beats the 60's or 2006 designs
An amazing car
Rear tail lights remind me of the 97 Oldsmobile Eighty Eight. Was that the inspiration? You also should've redone the center brake light into a thin LED strip and reposition it to the top....
As long as the fram-body design stays i would by that
Amen to that I wouldn't have a unibody car
So you deleted the door handles, changed the back end, and put different rims on it?😂 totally restyling it. Love your channel!
When you are a european but you like USA cars better
Man it they had bolt on panel replacements I'd do this asap
I could actually see ford bringing something like that out. That looks really nice.
Jag såg en importerad crown Victoria.
Här i Sverige.
You already did a vic. But it's so awesome it needs two videos... I get it. The lights look more like a 2020 Oldsmobile Ninety Eight, than Crown Victoria, though.
Agreed.
Not a bad design though IMHO.
Re design the Volvo 240
I miss the Crown Victoria, it was one of my favorite vehicles
What about the far more important front end design?
Yep. They should use it on the Ford CD4 Platform, same platform as the FORMER Ford Taurus, and use it as the SUCCESSOR, since Ford DISCONTINUED the Taurus.
I wish you followed the design language of the car manufacturer the car your re designing is from, it would be more interesting personally
Honestly it kinda looks like a sonata 2020
Do a Chevy Caprice
They have made that already
AMXG29 the Sketchmonkey?
No in real life I think they stopped again in 2015 or something like that it was only made as a police car the whole town of Rockford Illinois has them
Hmm, I wonder how that design would look on a Crown Vic as a NYC taxi?
What software and computer are you using to do the designs?
Looks like a redesigned 96 cutlass supreme.
Do you mean that this is Photoshop ?
You forgot the spot for the plates
Amazing Oldsmobile LSS redesign dude, me want
Send this to ford or make one on your own cause I’d buy one for sure
One of best Re-design from you. I don't like front one but this is so good.
Hi, me again, wondering when you will consider my suggestion of the Peugeot 206 cc and Peugeot 206 XR that I made every video you make because I really like your work and want to see what kind of redesign you will make on those cars that make part of the modern history of the French automaker...
honestly its fine, 90s was pretty good in car design, 2020s/2010s cars are edgy, bland, and ugly, like 2020s/2010s interior design, 90s cars look pretty good already
Ok, I see the finished product. This rendering ACTUALLY looks good. I hope it turns out something like this. I hope they re-do the crown vic.......and keep it a V8. But I know that's only WISHFUL thinking. I know Ford is gonna TRULY f*** it up. This rendering looks a bit COSTLY for Ford. But..... we can only dream.
Can you redesign infiniti qx70
I love the Vic. I saw a legit ny taxi lwb version. One of the last ones left sadly
i have a 1993 crown Vic and a 2002 mercury grand marquis ls and never never going to sale then they are the best car ever ....."FORD PLEASE BRING THEN BACK PLEASE "
That looks radically fantastic. Agree with you the original was way too convex from almost every angle. Flatten lout the roof and top of door frames. Theyre too convex too
Yes. Volvo 240s and Crown Vics are indestructible. Theyll take a beating. Admittedly sometimes it hurts to see people intentionally destroying them to prove that point.
Could you make a video about Seat?
Don’t get me wrong, I love crown vics. I have an 06 P71 as my daily driver. And this design is fucking amazing. If crown vics ever looked like this, I would have 5. That said, People need to realize why ford stopped making the crown Vic to begin with. It had nothing to do with looks. In its form as it were in 2011, it was no longer able to meet the new more rigorous federal safety standards that were being applied. Therefore ford decided to do away with it all together. They wouldn’t bring it back now since ford has already announced that they’re no longer making cars. Only trucks and suvs, with the mustang being the exception.
Re-design EV-1
Do another car Pontiac G8.
I own an 09 Crown Victoria and like most of what you have done. My biggest objection would be with the size and shape of the tail lights...they are too reminiscent of various GM models, particularly Oldsmobile.
Especially like the exhaust pipe treatment as the tips on my car are practically invisible when you stand behind the car.
My favorite car are the Lincoln Town Car from 1990-7 (especially the 1995-7 designs, I own a 1997). I would love to see your take on them.
Ford should bring this platform back with the coyote 5.0, 5.0 supercharged and a 3.5 Ecoboost and the new 7.3 "Godzilla" motor as a top of the line option and supercharged too with of course a body on frame design still that's gotta be a must dont do a unibody on this design if it's a crowd vic, Lincoln Town Car and Grand Marquis it's has to be body on frame no buts or ifs ect
