It's aesthetically pleasing watching you play this game and everything going smooth I rarely get servers this smooth but when they do show up they are very fun and watching you fly take off and land is like watching a cinematic shot it's just perfect
As a fellow Carrack owner I DESPERATELY need this to happen soon. Right now it s just a hanger queen or a mobile spawner, but I want my dang modular pods!
I still prefer the Constellation Taurus for such operations, as it has more SCU capacity and a better placed tractor beam! However, this ship comes as second-best. :)
It would be pretty cool if ED was this intricate with its hauling prep. Instead of just making a few selections on a panel, and BAM, the cargo is in your hold.
If only C2 had a useable tractor beam so you wouldn't need to move the boxes out of the cargo bay with a handheld tool :) It's not completely useless fortunately.

for those who want to skip the in between loading and unloading look into Flight of Nova. Awesome spaceship delivery game with really good physics. Much more simple too
Star citizen PU is straight trash (at least for me) right now. I accepted 3 cargo missions in a row, where the cargo was not available at the pickup location. The 3rd time, accepting the mission BLEW UP MY SHIP! this game is so broken, and I fear this is the beginning of the collapse of the game. If this is what they are willing to release to the PU, then I have serious doubts of 4.0 ever being released, and the same goes for S42.
Now imagine them soon bringing shards up to 1000 players, and you literally have a trade chat where you can offer loading services ( with the argo exo suit ) on planets or stations to load peoples ships for a fee. We are on the doorstep for very big immersion and simply gameplay variety. I hope server meshing and 4.0 comes soon.
There is still so much faffing about though - you should be able to power up the ship from the co-pilot's seat (or operate the tractor beam from the pilot's). You should be able to use the tractor beam to bring the cargo inside the ship (maybe reorient the ship so the rear is facing the hangar)....etc...to much to-and-fro
Still waiting for a space "sim" that SIMULATES actual goods being produced and used and stolen and sold. I know, X4, but I'd also like one that either has an effective tutorial, OR doesn't require a Seer and a ouija board to understand. I mean how cool would it be to see a bunch of guys in Alien Loaders moving this stuff in and out of ships in a cargo bay?
Call it from the ASOP terminal like the old way - and by the time your elevator gets to hangar the ship will be either already there or moments from it
Why is the elevator blaring an alarm? It's a locked shaft so there's no in-lore danger to it being operational. Keep the hazard lights for aesthetic but I feel it will get irritating quickly. Ships need door state control...pilots should be able to set ship door state mode to "loading" or similar which allows leaving all doors open for ease of movement.
Same. The amount of times i've accepted a mission, loaded the cargo, flew to the location, only to find the freight elevator not working is frustrating to say the least.

the whole point here is make it physical as possible, that is why it's not simple, takes too much to make and will look cumbersome in 1st tries... menu games are made by everyone else with publishers and frankly i'm glad one developer makes detail visual sim like experience

Completely untrue. Any PC capable of playing games 5+ years old can run the game fine as long as it’s on an SSD and you’re running 16gb of RAM. Starterpack with a smaller cargo capable ship is £45. The ship you see here can be upgraded to from said starter ship for another £55 or bought ingame from the money you earn hauling with your starter ship.
@@Quickb3n With the frequent wipes, the only way to keep your ships is if you buy them with real money. any in game effort is erased. my pc that i built less than a year ago with an ssd and 32gb of ram still cant run the game consistently enough to get on the subway train without falling through the map. regardless of how well it runs, the macrotransactions are completely out of hand.
It's easy to make money in Star Citizen and just buy any ship you want in game even after the wipe I'm still able to get a decent ship to do cargo after a couple hours of doing missions and I have only spent about $60 on this game and have a good amount of ships but I only use a couple so the other ones are just for entertaining myself plus you can rent ships
