I love a mesh jacket but for those like myself who insist on using back armour, bear in mind that if the armour isn’t perforated, your back is likely to get sweaty even with the most breathable of mesh jacket configurations.
In the case of Rev'it!, they make the SEESOFT AIR Back protector which has larger diameter holes to help with this very issue. I use it currently in one of my Rev’it!jackets, and though it is a thick foam protector, it helps. I own the Merlin Shenstone Air jacket as well, and though the back protector is not perforated (it is very thin, and CE1 I believe), I have yet to have an issue with it in 28c+ temps here in Cali.
Bought the Revit Eclipse last summer for myself (brown) and my lady (red) and it's a fantastic jacket. Living in southern Spain and it's perfect for the summer heat. Very comfortable but always size up with Revit. I'm 180cm, 83kg and bought the XL (same with the Revit Tornado which I also love). The Eclipse is outstanding value. Great colours too.

Nice video
What about the Bowtex jacket ?
I got the rev it blue jacket medium size (includes arms and shoulder pads only no chest plate nor provision for it), like in the video, im about 5'11 medium built 80kg and it fits like a glove. The mesh part is just enough to keep me cool in a tropical country. Though my komine jk 162 provides more ventilation (it includes all pads chest, back, shoulders and arms) the eclipse's looks just kills the competition.
Just an interesting thought regarding urbane pro. When I want to wear the mesh gear it is usually because I want to ride pretty chill pace wise and most often to eat somewhere. Getting there without being a puddle of sweat and taking the jacket off and being in a t-shirt. But with the urbane I cant get to my destination and take it off heheh. That would be wierd. Awesome product, but I think the underlayer idea does not suit my type of riding :)
Awesome and trustworthy video. Feels like a throughout list.
I don’t ride a motorcycle but I love wearing these mesh jackets they are nice
I picked up the Urbane Pro mk2 Utility jacket (in green) a couple months ago. I live in a very hot climate and it's been fantastic. The jacket has perfect pocket placement, lots of storage, great comfort and breathability, great protection and I've received numerous comments on how sharp and cool it looks. It's also so easy to layer. Can't recommend it enough.

any link to where it could be purchased? thanks.
@@caesarasuncion263 Knox website. They deliver to many countries
If Knox can achieve AA or AAA from such thin gear why cant the other brands at least reach AA?
A isn't fantastic and its what stops me from getting a mesh jacket.
The Eclipse just needs a back protector for level 2 I believe.
I typically wear my Urbane Pro Mk2 with a white Washington Nationals jersey over it. I love the protection and ventilation, but having dense black material directly against your skin in the sun requires more than airflow to keep cool.
I was between the urbane mk2 or Merlin shenstone, in your experience would the mk2 be a buy once cry once kinda of jacket. I live in FL, so it goes from super hot to the 40s in winter.
@@u0kiToki The biggest detractor I have for the jacket is the back armor doesn’t exactly flow air well, but it’s not unbearable. I wear mine just about every ride now. Even more when it’s between 50-70 with a hoodie
I rock the Jordan barons jersey over mine 😎
Make me want to buy haha
The benefit of roasting 90 plus air blasting against you. A leather is just as good if not better.
Why nobody talks about Hevik Zafiro?
Do you guys ship to USA? Interested in the merlin
Hi Satana. Yes, we di ship to the USA. - Iza
Merlin mesh is very tighly woven. I bought the chigwell and its really too hot for the tropics. It does not flow well at all.
Need more videos (...and products) for women
Hi! We have a great range if ladies gear here: www.urbanrider.co.uk/jackets/waterproof.html - Iza
Agreed! 😒
Can I order a jacket from Amazon?
Hi Antoine, we only sell directly through our website and some items are also available on Ebay. - Iza
That Eclipse fits like a bag of ass. I’m not big. Semi dad bod 5’7 175lbs Asian with a small gut and the Large doesn’t even fit me. I have to go to the XL while I wear the Sand3 in Large with room to spare lol Love RevIt but hate their sizing inconsistencies
Nooooo.
Where is Klim and Rukka?
Why is knock making the shirts black? Dude, it’s hot weather riding gear. Offer a white option.
Probably because it's not intended to be the outer layer, which can be, wait for it, white!
@@rodbowes5309 who wants to use layers in the summer? I’ll swap shirts at the destination and stash the ppe in a bag
I would hate to get white. The dirt would show up right away
All short torso design. For children. Some day, you’ll aspire to offer adult products.
Right man fuck sake I'm 6'4 160lbs none of this shit is gonna fit me
