I have a Modeka Tourrider jacket with TFL cool and it works quite well. I wore it up to 34 degrees celsius and it was bearable as long as i was moving. Mind you, i had the vents open.
Like your presentation👍🏼 I live in Cape Town, South Africa (don't worry if you American -its somewhere out there over the horizon!) Its the middle of Winter here. Temperature today will be 25 degs. So i hardly ever get to use my leather jackets. Bit of a bugger really. So visit guys & girls......best damn riding over the horizon! Oh & riding in a 35+ Summer? Well i ride in a jock-strap & takkies! It ain't pretty....
Wouldn't it defeat the point a little given that they all have their own armour and abrasion resistance? I suppose you could remove the armour in the jacket and have the benefit of the Knox armour being more snug fitting. To be honest though, I don't think I'd be able to fit my Knox urbane pro under one of my goldtop jackets.
None of them are reasonably priced. None feature zip to trousers. None are particularly thick leather. Funked up fashion jackets with some safety features, massively over priced
The first jacket has an infrared coating, not UV it says on the label you showed. You might want to learn the difference between IR and UV and why it makes a difference to temperature 🤷♂️
I don't even like the Belstaff. The Goldtop is nice, but the 1959 is better. Shame Goltop's liners don't zip out. I like the Broger, too. Does the liner zip out?
I recall recently seeing a story from Goldtop with a collaboration they did with BSMC LA (I think?) where they'd made a vented version of their flat tracker with a removable lining.
I'd love a nice leather jacket, but in my experience nobody makes one to fit taller riders. It seems like if you are more than 5,10 you look ridiculous
I’m rather underwhelmed. Most of these look like they’re made for skinny boys looking good on their bikes in the city. None of these seem a good fit for a broad shouldered man with a bit of a belly who need proper leather for long crisp autumn day rides far in the countryside. Kudos though to Urban rider for the slightly longer jacket length.
Any classiness that the Merlin jacket has is completely destroyed by the abysmal spelling mistakes on the label you showed. Can't believe they let that go. It makes the jacket look like a cheap knock off you'd pick up at a Saturday market. When consumer experts tell you how to spot a fake it's exactly those kind of things you're supposed to look out for. I know the jacket isn't a fake but the label makes it look like one.
That Goldtop. ❤❤
Reflecting UVs isn’t going to help much with temperature. Needs to reflect infrared🤔
underrated comment.
The lable said infrared at 1:08.

Yeah but at least your jacket won’t get sunburnt
I love the black zips and buttons on the Onyx jacket!
Nice jacket from team Urban Rider!
When they are charging top prices for these jackets they should be including level 2 armour...not level 1.
I agree, and for nearly £900 it should have some back protector as standard. Try again Belstaff. Others can do it so why can’t you?
@@garypunter412 indeed... you're paying for the name.
Great presentation and products! Thank you.
Thanks for watching!
Hi, can you share what specific tires and sizes the triumph scrambler 900 is sporting?
I really like the first one. Torsten? Very cool. 👍🤪🏳️🌈
My pick for 2024 would be the Belstaff Centenary Valiant jacket. Rare to see a winter riding jacket.
11:05 where did he get a non-pinlock ready black visor for the hjc v10?
Hi, they are currently out of stock but they will be coming back to stock in the near future! - Iza
@@UrbanRiderlondon Are you sure we are talking about the non pinlock one? you really do have no pinlock prepped visors?

❤ this video is such a brilliant and necessary idea ❤
Glad you think so!

@@bobobobit you definitely woukdnt want the urbane under a leather jacket since you might melt
Something like the Spidi Base1 or Revit Proteus might fit though and are more breathable
Great review! Thank you very much. Are the leather jackets always so short? I sometimes worry that my lower back will freeze in winter.
Hi, thank you! It depends on the brand but usually they are on the shorter side. - Iza
Living in Scotland I need a jacket that absorbs sunshine and increases my temperature 😂
Is your Glamster Visor the dark smoke or the light smoke one?
It's the dark smoke!
Cool range of jackets
Can you do a review on the revit rino jacket?
Great List!
Glad you enjoyed it!
Some good kit. No recommended Fuel jackets this year?
Belstaff 👌

Any better value for money options?
Let me guess, your one of them dumbass Americans that think that only their leather jackets are the best.
@@josephfackel6762Some texpeed jackets are triple AAA rated. Also RSTs are usually a bit cheaper
Do you ever review budget priced stuff that offers excellent protection ?
Good style, great protection, low price.
Pick 2.
@@joshb3929 Still £300! Texpeed have great reviews and they are between £70 and £100

Yeah. IR is the one heating you up, UV just damages cells, and any garment has UV resistance :))
I have no idea what a USP is.
Unique selling point
Undeniable Stupid Price

Label will be from the German company but is baffling no one caught it.
Not sure a label on the inside of a jacket is much of a big deal though…
They really look amazing, but I will wait until there will be vegan options in this style
Sadly a bunch of 💩 recommendations terrible fast fashion jackets made out of cheap materials
Guts open, neck open, best jackets? Holes ion it, 15 min rain you soak wet, useless jackets 😂
