The wonderful thing about this game is you get the feeling that it is a live city, with children, mums, dads, workers running around. So many city simulation games seem robotic in comparison. The simple sounds of laughter, children giggles, and people working is enough to let you know that cities are made of people, they are the centre of culture and life. This feeling is not captured in many other games.

Production value, how much attentions are put into details over technology. Most city building games today are made with tiny teams that doesn’t have the time. Big studios no longer make those games anymore with the death of SimCity. I liked Cities Skylines but outside of the simulation and technology, SimCity 4 hits the old school, atmospheric notes. The music, the park being played by citizens, deteriorating condition of poor living standard etc… it’s disappointing that big studios are not making video games, they are just remaking their most profitable projects with more realistic graphics.
It brings me memories of my childhood, simple times
Same.It was better building up a society than just warfare..So it was balance to build and fight the battle campaigns from time to time.

The farms, the granaries, the marketplace. Everything was so nostalgic.
When i was on elementary school. We had 1 hour pause between classes.....when i was playing this game i forgot to go on afternoon lesson XD XD.
I discovered this game in 2023, the music is insane, the ambience and sounds of the city indeed make it feel so alive. Looks great, will try it out
