Axle upper and lower links are same as XJ but Coil buckets need to be moved in 1.5 inch on each side, truss was modified to accommodate the coil bucket move
Been following your channel for a really long time and actually had no idea you had made this video. I have my eye on some 2022 392 axles to put into my WJ. Were the coil buckets on the 44 that close originally or were they moved before the install?
Hey! yeah each side is was moved in 1.5 Inch from JL location to fix XJ but for WJ it should be perfect Fit From JL to WJ because WJ is a bit wider then XJs are hope you like the Answer
@@4WDAdventureCrew thank you very much for the response! The only downside I’m seeing to these particular 392 axles is they have 3.73s. Was hoping for factory 4:10 gears as I’ll probably never go over a 35 with my setup and currently run 33s. Have some JK rubicon axles I can get for around the same price with factory 4:10. Was hoping to avoid regearing but from What I’m understanding rhe 392 axles are much stronger than regular rubicons, and have beefier knuckles. Idk…
@@4WDAdventureCrew Is 70 the max? Or is it a comfortable HWY speed? From somebody who lives in Santa Cruz county. A long way to travel on a lot of Freeway to get to the Sierras.
@spencerkunz no JK and JL lockers are the same. They just need constant 12 V to engage the electric coil that pushes on the gear inside the locker to engage it. Same concept as ARB lockers, but with electrical force
Thanks for the shout out guys! Thats an awesome build for an Xj!
Awesome Vas and James
Not gonna lie
That’s awesome 😎
Sweet!
Man do those axles look amazing!!
The Happy Camper! Hahaha!!!

😮😊
What highway speeds can you drive and what’s the rpm’s with the 5:38 gears?
70 MPH at 2850RPM on 37s
5.38s are the way to go with 37s

Allegedly, I have been over 95MPH on my white XJ 😉
It drives great on long drives we drove from Sand Hollow UT to Sacramento CA and average MPG was 15.5
How did you wire the front locker in. I was thinking this would be a good donor axle for a streched tj build.
Locker is easy they sell Pigtail on Amazon you just wire in 12v fused to any button
@@4WDAdventureCrew thought the lockers needed a pulsed signal?
