Awesome work on all the rigs Vas. Every video seems to be a little more detailed build involved, and with your creativity the results are very cool. See you at the 775 Show n Shine 4x4 Thank You so much!
Vas,your hard work has not been for nothing. James has added quit the compliment to your channel! As for a name, how about "Jeep of Hearts"? In reference to a deck of cards (which James is) two jacks are one eyed I pick hearts for James big heart and the red jeep. And ofcourse I apologize if I step on feelings none intended.
Yes! the "Formula Approach", find what is working and copy that👍👍 As for a name, There is an old song made famous by Johnny Lee- "Cherokee Fiddle". For analogies, its obvious you've fiddled with the Jeep's construction a good bit beyond stock. Also, its intended purpose involves fiddling around having fun. (Completely asside from using it as a Jeep's name, it is a very cool song, one that gets stuck in my head every so often)...
You can always use the factory fender flares if you wanted a more stock look. You just swap left to right, right to left. A bit of trimming and bolt relocation and you're gtg.
@@4WDAdventureCrew True. I Was just thinking as I was watching. I do like your setup better. Wish Jeep had done something similar all those years ago at the factory when they were making the XJ's.
Love the concept but my gosh it would be hard to cut that thing up. I’m 1000% minimal lift and maximum tire… but I would have had to at least TRY and run the taller springs before I started chopping up such a clean XJ. Ultimately it would have ended the same way, but I would have taken the scenic route 😂
Well we tried that few years back with Crew Chief and it didn't work to fit 37" you have to trim a bit of sheet metal. but on this Build we wanted to copy and Paste the Tested method and build it right the first time
What are you doin inside the fender well? Is it still cut open? And what are you using to support the width of the metal? Can't just be the weld to the panel right? Please someone help me understand cuz I wana do this
22 : 55 That's too much gap for bondo. It will crack & look horrible. You'd be better off stripping the fender well metal two to three inches back from the outside sheetmetal & coating it with weld prep ( sprays on from a can ) . Once dry, you can weld directly to it without causing the metal to oxidize. Then cut & shape your fender flare to weld in place. 18 guage mild steel should surfice. I'm only bothering to share this because you guys are already putting so much work into this project. You have the tools & man power. Its really not that much extra effort. Eastwood offers great welding tutorials on youtube. They offer lots of modern tools & welding aids available today that wasn't easily availabe two decades ago. You've got a good looking chariot. Give it some fenders flares that will last & look cool.
With my sense of humor, I would call it one eye Wille. "Cherokee My One Eyed Willies Jeep"
The Red Jeep needs a Name!!! "Red Guardian".
25 : 01 This gap is more like it.
Nice form.
So, there's a method to your madness. Hehe

kid is just staring at the welding
We all learn the hard way not to look at Welding Ark
I think I would have cut the middle out of the shock mount, because the original mount wrapped around the axle more

@@4WDAdventureCrew understand completely and absolutely agree it was the best route! Still hurts though! Haha turned out great, very nice job!
The jeep should be called Ruby red or The Red Ruby
Fire Marshall bill
James rig name should be Red Dawn
